Dr. Johnson is the perfect qualitative mix of high-​level, specialized dentistry, combined with a zealous professional approach to his clients, his reputation, and his overall business.
The thought of a root canal is not a pleasant one. In fact, from a financial and physical standpoint, the thought is actually quite stressful. Upon entering Dr. Johnson’s midtown practice, however, you will be immediately calmed by soft lighting, smooth jazz, and an overwhelming aura of professionalism that will start the process of calming your nerves prior to even sitting in the chair for a consultation. If dental work is ultimately needed, the process of going through it is a lot less stressful than you could ever imagine.
From my experience, Dr. Johnson knows exactly what he’s doing, which in practice will immediately give you a sense of calm and comfort. Moreover, there is a television screen with Netflix on the ceiling, so that at least while you’re going through the procedure, you can catch up on a couple episodes of House of Cards to take your mind off of things. Upon completion, any pain that was there, will be no more, and you can move forward with getting any crowns or the like as may be necessary.
In sum, I’ll never say that it’s a pleasure getting a root canal, however, to the extent that life and/​or your lack of flossing brings you to such a point, there is no one I would recommend above Dr. Johnson to make the experience as pleasurable as possible.

I went in for a consultation based on a referral for a root canal and found Dr. Johnson was very knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. He took the time to make me comfortable with the process of assessing the tooth. He explained all options as well as what he felt was best. Surprisingly, he was even was ready to start the work same day.
I was initially nervous about going to an Endodontist in the evening thinking it would be rushed and routine but, I was pleasantly surprised at his commitment to satisfy my needs despite the late hours. Since I work during the day, the evening hours offered were convenient. Though I did get work done that day, he made certain to follow up with me to see how my tooth was feeling.
All in all, Dr. Johnson’s love for dentistry is apparent but, even more importantly he treats you with respect & compassion. Its rare to find a dentist whose passion outshines the many bright healthy smiles he helps to create. If I am ever need another root canal in the future, Dr. Marcus Johnson is where I will go.
