We visited the Bubble Lounge on its last night of operation and so it was sold out of many champagnes we wanted. The website gave no indication that it was closing, but that is what the server said and also that they may be moving, although the new location was not yet identified. The service was overall not friendly and they seemed annoyed to have to wait on us. Perhaps this is because they were closing; however, that’s just me giving them the benefit of the doubt. I would not recommend this bar.

My husband and I came here this past Saturday and we had a great time. We were seated promptly and we informed the server we had a Groupon which was graciously accepted. The server was friendly and recommended a bottle of Champagne that we really enjoyed. The atmosphere was sexy chic and the food was great as well. We especially enjoyed the beef sliders, the cheese plate and the warm cookie dessert. We will definitely be back again… a great find in the city!

Gosh, I LOVE this place. When you walk in, the ambiance is very Tribeca: high ceilings, exposed brick, cool art, and candlelit tables with couches, comfy chairs, etc. This is perfect for a date night or even a birthday party. If I’m throwing a birthday party, this is easily the first place I’d look. Best part? They have happy hour from 5 – 7 — beer is $ 6(Stella, Heineken, etc.), mixed drinks are around $ 9. Keep in mind their cocktails are going to be somewhere around the $ 15 – 17 dollar range. Also, they played great music: James Blake, Beck, etc.

My wife had found this place through groupon and it seemed to be marketed as a romantic valentine’s day type of deal. I read the fine print twice and then decided to purchase it. We showed up for our reservations and were seated. After a long wait for anybody to approach us after being seated, we asked the waitress to show us what was included in the groupon. She said she didn’t think it would be honored today and went to speak to her manager. She then came back and confirmed that they would not honor the groupon. I asked her why and explained that the fine print mentioned that it is «Not valid on major holidays.» Valentine’s Day is not a major holiday by any stretch. Additionally, the waitress clearly didnt give a damn and she gave us a sarcastic«Happy Valentines Day» on the way out. I hate phony, pretentious, overpriced crap with a side of attitude. The place was 70% EMPTY, at least! I mean the place was surprisingly dead for a Valentines Day in NYC. That is poor decision making at its finest not to honor the groupon when there wasn’t even anyone there for the most part. Rather than making an exception to a rule they never published in the first place, they decided to alientate and upset a first time customer that never would have found them if not for groupon and they also decided to receive a negative online review. We will not be back. I cant comment on the food or drink because we never got that far. Attitude makes a bad situation worse, get a clue.

Rudest waitress. I came here on a date and the waitress was so rude that we walked out. It’s not the kind of place I’m willing to put up with attitude either. It’s one thing if you’re dealing with tourists and big time nightlife this is TriBeCa. Never again.

We came here after work for drinks and some food. To be clear, there’s no happy hour menu. But they do have a large selection of champagne, and a decent food menu to order from. Champagne by glass ranges ~$ 20 per, and given I’m not a bubbly connoisseur yet, I just ordered the cheapest glass. It tasted pretty good to me(and obviously I don’t remember what it is), especially after a long day at work. We also ordered sweet garlic duck meatballs, crispy crab cakes, and some wild mushroom sandwich. My favorite was the duck meatballs plate. It came with maybe 4 or 5 meatballs, very tender and moist, and with some Asian flavor to it that’s not too overly sweet but adds to the sauce. Crab cakes were dry, sandwich was decent, because, I like everything with truffle oil in it. Overall, I’d give this place a 3.5 if I can round up. Come here if you want to celebrate something with a glass of bubbly. But until I make enough money to shell out more $ on champagnes, I’d rather go across the street to Distilled and have a glass of Mead.

The ambience of this lounge is very good and they have a good quality bar and excellent desert options. The problem with this place is the service. I ordered a simple drink several times and they messed up the order each time(I asked for cucumber muddled in my drink and each time it was lime). We came here after a family dinner and had a 14 year old girl with us. We ordered a decaf cappuccino for her, and the order was acknowledged by our waitress. When we about ordered another decaf cappuccino we were told by the wait staff that they don’t make decaf cappuccinos. This made us very frustrated, as we just gave a small child caffeine when we specifically ordered to avoid that. We won’t be coming back. This could have been an anomaly but we won’t be there to find out.

Great place for pre gaming. Drinks and service were great. Too bad there’s no real room for dancing because the music was awesome! There was a small issue with the bill but the manager fixed it with no problem. Will def return

Came here with someone who’s very important to me. Put it this way, if you want to have some champers and impress your date, this is the place to be. The interior design is both sophisticated and classy. Of course we came here for champagne, it was very good, excellent selections high quality champagne. I particularly liked the second champagne in our three-course champagne flight, because it’s very fruity and refreshing. Btw, the night we were there, the host dressed up like Lady gaga… NBD, just a bit funny to think about.

Very expensive. Perhaps the food is good quality; perhaps not – I don’t know. Me, I simply wouldn’t order food in a lounge like this. It is ear-shatteringly-loud and has terrible-quality, ear-stabbing, generic-format hip-hop music. How would that be pleasant to dine to? The whole place is a bit schizoid – its laid out in a giant«L» shape; one half of the ‘L’ is high-top tables and the other part is a lounge. But the lounge is seedy and musty; threadbare; dusty; hardly a nice clean environment for ‘fine dining’. Yes there are absurdly large magnums of champagne placed all around. Maybe some people are drinking champagne; I’m sure that is true… but it certainly is an odd combination: expensive champagne in a ‘divey’ environment. What I saw was: most people simply sticking to their usual favorite mixed drinks. There are two entrances; after happy-hour is over they close off the entry to the lounge(very annoying and disturbing to suddenly find an exit blocked); as the whole place fills up with milling bodies. That’s also why I would not order a sit-down meal here. There are no ‘boundaries’. Drunken party-goers can lean their elbows and rest their drinks right on your table. The night I sampled their happy-hour; waitsttaff was nice – I admit that – they tried their best – but they were simply swamped. Only 1 – 2 girls; completely overwhelmed. The bathrooms: only three; but all decently modern and clean. Props on that point. The crowd: finance types, a mandatory few of those corny ‘mako shark’ style of guys(attention-needy, cellphone-enfeebled creeps and the secretaries whom they are trying to lay). A few ho’s for local flavor; but mostly a bunch of middle-management IT guys with glasses and short-sleeved ‘Dilbert’ shirts tucked into belts over their flab; the women 35−50ish Florence Hendersons all over-pumped up and shrill with pearls and loud, slinky dresses. All trying SOHARD to be famous. Overall vibe as far as I’m concerned: lame. Overall recommendation for most urban-ites: yes, you ‘may as well’ come here – if you have the money and want that feeling of Manhattan-ish frenzy. you know, that soulless, pricey, unsatisfying and slightly sick-feeling of stuffing your face with as much as you possibly can. It is a place to pseudo-brag about later as to how much money you spent in a place –oh my – that no one else has yet heard about.

We had such an awesome night here! We purchased a Gilt certificate for champagne, sabering instruction, 2 appetizers and dessert. We upgraded our champagne and ordered a few more food items. Our waitress was SO nice and we loved the vibe here. It’s sexy and intimate downstairs where we were situated. The sabering instruction is so much fun and a unique experience. They give you a legit SABER to open the champagne with! My understanding is that you can do the sabering by adding $ 50 to your tab. Worth it in my opinion, it was fun. The food here was surprisingly good. Not that we didn’t think it would be good, but it’s REALLYGOOD! The black truffle potatoes were phenomenal. What I will remember and come back for was the dessert — the chocolate chip cookies with ice cream were out-of-this-world good. Good date night all around! I would come back with a group also.

I love champagne for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All hours of the day, so I was extremely excited to give Bubble Lounge a try. Went around 10:30 on a Friday night and it was a very chill scene — fancier place with couches, chairs and small groups which was nice. Our waitress was extremely friendly — you really feel like you’re getting one on one service and the DJ was awesomeee. In terms of the drink /food, highly recommend the Fluery champs — crisp, not too dry — just perfect AND(if you’ve even dinner and want something sweet), the warm chocolate chip cookies are absolutely to die for. You can even order them rare, medium or well-done. We went with rare because I like my cookies gooey… oh my god. Outrageously good. Great place — something different from the usual NYC bar scene!

Cool place with a very good concept. I’m always up for some champagne at any given moment, so I decided to stop here while in the area and looking for a drink. There are champagnes bottles everywhere, couches and music playing through out the place. It’s definitely not the usual atmosphere that you’d expect at a champagne bar. A little more upbeat, almost too much so. None the less, I had a few glasses and sat at the bar. It was earlier in the night when I came, so I’m not sure how it gets later on, but judging from other reviews, it’s a more crowded version of my experience. I would classify Bubble Lounge as a good place to come get some champagne for happy hour and kick it for an hour or two. They have a great champagne selection so it’s definitely worth dropping by.

Our wedding reception was held in the San Francisco Bubble Lounge, so we knew we had to check this one out – it’s only fair. Not like you really had to twist our arm to get us to sit on a plush velvet couch and drink champagne. Maybe the San Francisco one holds too much sentimental memory for me, but this one just wasn’t as good. The floor plan is set up like a «V,» which makes the restaurant feel a little disjointed, and the swanky vibe is strangely offset by a few brightly colored modern pieces that ruin what would otherwise be a dimly lit, red, plush scene with a boudoir feel. Our waitress was fine, but definitely gave the feel that we were disturbing her(despite us being one of the only people in the place). She did do a nice job of explaining the champagne that she gave me(definitely go for the founder’s tasting, best deal in the house!), but with a kind of irritation that gave us the impression that she’d rather go back to her dinner. From experience at the other BL, the food is good, so definitely check it out if you’re interested(the menus are the same so I assume that the food is the same as well). Glad I went, but I’ll save my Bubble Lounge conquests for when I’m on the other side of the country.

I don’t really get this place. It is kinda tacky. And I’m talking about both the exterior and interior decorating. I mean I don’t get it so much I was left wondering if possibly the tackiness was deliberate. Like they were going for a 70s retro vibe or something. Think lots of orange and bright purple furniture and lights. Even the music they were playing on a Saturday night seemed random and off-beat(nothing recognizable or with lyrics). I think if they spruced this place up it would help immensely. I had a rose champagne here and my date had a red wine. We also got the duck meat balls with fig sauce which were delicious and the bruschetta which was sweet and different. The appetizers were good enough for us to finish them off satisfied and I did take a few sips of the rose champagne just to get a taste for what it is like. I honestly enjoyed my glass of water more. I think the best part of this place was the area behind the bar with all the bottles of champagne(in lieu of all the bottles of hard liquor like at all the other places). And that’s pretty much it.

Why I like the Bubble Lounge, even after they spilled a drink on my vic(very important company): A. Believe it or not, especially after that intro line, the service is surprisingly good at this upscale lounge. Attentive, pleasant, good timing, and attitude-free beautiful people(probably aspiring models/actresses, but Bubble Lounge somehow found a few of the nice aspiring models/actresses).(Yes they did comp the spilled drink and we would’ve liked more apologies and a$$ kissing, so minus one star.) B. I was craving a night in Paris and some 90s Hip Hop. I got a room full of glowing candles, ugly-pretty retro chairs, and music that I can’t remember. One out of two isn’t bad. C. If the duck meatballs are an accurate representation of the food overall, then you won’t be disappointed with it. We loved the sauce so much we asked for extra bread to sop it up and they graciously gave it to us. D. I thought it wouldn’t be hard to decide what to drink here, but the cocktails are impressive to read off the menu, and just as impressive close up and personal. I’m sure my first kit kat martini was gone in ten minutes or less. My second, I savored for at least twenty.

Classy spot. My friend and I were nicely attended to. Martini menu amazing & the dessert menu to die for. The atmosphere I loved. Classy & romantic. And it’s in TriBeCa, my new favorite neighborhood during the week. Need to work on the weekend energy there…

In Chicago we have Tavern on Rush. You guys in NYC have the bubble lounge. Go walk in and you will find various guys who are over 55 with women who are under 30. The drinks are very potent. You should check this place if you are in Tribeca just for the people watching alone

There were close to a dozen of us when we came here. Mind you most of my friends who live in Manhattan are club goers and well, needless to say, they did not enjoy this«loungee» comfy, «cushioneee» sofa vibe atmosphere. I for one really had a great time. The food was good and even the champagne was something to talk home about! I really enjoyed their stuffed duck meatballs. So good in fact, I think I ate most of it as everyone else was feeling«prissy!» While our visit here was cut short to head out to another venue, I would however recommend paying a visit to Bubble Lounge at least once. I think it is a nice classy place where you can comfortably carry a nice conversation if you’re out on a nice date, or rekindling your love for each other, or simply coming here to celebrate a huge party. Definitely worth visiting. Plus, you will be pleasantly surprised — the food is good.

My party and I loved, loved the Bubble Lounge. I called at 3PM on a Friday to make a reservation for a group of 10 for 9PM the same night, and they said it was no problem — amazing! When we got there that night, the hostess did not make a scene about how our entire party wasn’t there — so rare in NY. The space itself is HUGE. It’s honestly so hard to find a lounge with so much seating in Manhattan, so I’m already in love with the place. The furniture was a little random but cozy(lots of couches and armchairs), and the DJ was great. He played a good mix of old school(like Prince), indie, and hip hop. I don’t know why so many people complained about how loud this place was — I thought the music was at a perfect volume and it was very easy to talk to my friends without yelling at them. And then of course the drinks — we got a magnum bottle which was at a very reasonable price, and our waitress Ashley was always around to refill it as soon as your glass was low. We tried some cocktails too and the Lychee Martini was my favorite — one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Another note on the waitress — great service all night, no snobbiness, very attentive, and just a super sweet girl. If you’re looking for a unpretentious, hassle-free night filled with good music, good drinks, and good conversation, come here. Also, I recommend this place to anyone trying to entertain a large party without paying a ridiculous table minimum!(Apoteke told me there would be a $ 100 minimum per person if we made a reservation.)

I came here the other night for a little celebration of sorts. I was pointed in this direction from a good friend and took a date here for bubbly. We went early at around 6, and found a place that has a nice relaxed atmosphere(not crowded for a wednesday at 6) that was quiet enough for us to talk, but had background music so it didn’t seem devoid of people. We each had a different cocktail that came in a champagne flute and was thus, a champagne cocktail. Both were delicious and had just the right amount of bubbly for a celebration. The seating is mostly comphy, big couches, so you can sit and relax here, but i don’t see how comfortable it is if this place was crowded. Just make sure you walk all the way in and check out the area to the right of the bar, so you don’t miss out on different seating from the long couch at the front door.
