I love coming here for karaōke. The list of songs that they have here is absolutely amazing! SUPER updated — they even have artists like ZHU, AlunaGeorge, etc. Super crazy. Love it there.

Came here to rent out a private room for a surprise birthday party(my mom turned 50!). Called, no answer; sent a reservation request and got an immediate response via the a phone call. A couple of hours before party time, I got another phone call confirming the time. Nice! I get there about 10 minutes later than I was supposed(wanted to arrive at 6:45pm for 7pm party time). I liked that they were willing to let me arrive 15 minutes beforehand to set up food and drinks. When I get there, the guy behind the bar seemed a little annoyed with me. I told him I was in a rush, and he kind of took his time helping me. He asked how many people would be there, and that annoyed me a little because 1) I’m rushing and 2) we already confirmed between 20 – 25 people! So I say it for a 3rd time«20 – 25 people». They put us in a room that could fit MAYBE15 people comfortably. I had to stop him and say«hey, we need the biggest room, I specifically asked for your biggest room». Without hesitation, we were given the biggest room but told sternly«you need minimum 20 people in here». Um… I said it when I reserved, I said it when you called to confirm, and I just said it to you downstairs, 20 – 25PEOPLE! What’s the problem? Anyhow, other than that snafoo, they were more than willing to give us an extra table(or two) and more chairs(there ended up being 27 people!) and a pail of ice. After that they were pretty helpful. I originally made a reservation for 3 hours, asking if we wanted more time could we have it, and was told he could, we’d just be charged for it and that would’ve been fine. HOWEVER, that was not the case. I guess they got busy on this particular Saturday night, and 20 minutes after our reservation was over CUT the music and booted us out. I learned as we were leaving, someone down stairs was waiting for our room. That was disappointing. This and the my first encounter with them is the reason why they only get three stars(Oh, and one of the mics in our room didn’t work too well). Other than that it was a fine establishment. They had pretty recent songs(Drake’s «Hot Line Bling» for one), and we still had fun.

Went here with a group for a friend’s going away party! The place was so much fun, they had updated songs, it was BYOB food and drinks!

I still love this place for its proximity to home and all over logistical ease. We went on a Monday night, so of course, it was rather empty. To be clear, it was far from dead though, and another huge party actually rolled maybe 20 minutes after us. My experience at the bar was meh because the waitress was a bit green and they only accept cash at the bar. Plus, I just hate waiting for your song anyway. So I convinced our party to get a room. The head staffer/room manager guy was far more capable and very accommodating. We booked the cool room on the 2nd floor with the glass windows that overlooks the main bar. As my friends said, it’s a sexy room! We sang the rest of the night like there was no tomorrow. My only two qualms were that the Volume buttons on the remote didn’t seem to work and Adele’s Hello is not in the book yet. I was SO ready to let loose on that one. And then at the end of the night, the bill was not horrendous at all. Thus, once more, I love this spot for bringing K-Town private room karaōke wonderfulness closer to home downtown.

Karaōke Boho has a brand new polished look that’s very attractive. Both the main bar area and private rooms seem to invite you to have fun. The mini-stage is a nice touch. The environment was supportive of everyone that went up to sing regardless of skill level. Unfortunately, there are some finer details that need to be worked out before this place can get my full recommendation. The website and chalk board outside advertised a happy hour on draft beer. Upon ordering though they informed us that they didn’t have draft beer that night and couldn’t honor the happy hour deal on bottled drinks. They were also unable to make any of the cocktails listed on their drink menu due to running out of liquor as well. That left a bare bones bottled beer and cheap wine drink selection. Additionally, they would not accept credit cards at the bar unless I booked a private room and the women in our group informed us that there was no hand soap in the bathrooms. It almost seemed that they should have waited another month before opening because they were clearly not ready. The sound system in the main bar area could also be better. The music level was consistently too loud or too soft. The vocals were frequently muffled and the overall sound could have just been better. All of this could just be growing pains of opening a new venue. I’m giving 2-stars for now but will likely be back at some point to see if they’ve improved.
