What a dump! I don’t know who they paid off to get an A but I’ve seen public restrooms cleaner looking then this place. Maybe they are doing a renovation(I hope) but I didn’t get that impression. Looks like they are going out of business and the Philly cheese steak I had was flavorless and I don’t know what I was thinking actually eating at this place. They have four small tables and 5 chairs total. They are now calling themselves Aaron’s Steaks due to a small laminated sign in their window but still have burgers I guess because they had no menus. The guy seemed annoyed that we came in and ordered. I think they do all their business through Seemless so people don’t know how bad the place looks. AVOIDTHISPLACE!!!

It’s arrrite. It’s got all the elements of a good burger place, just less of everything. Less price(good), and less taste, worse bun, worse fries(not that good). It’s better than that sounds, just a level or two below 5 Guys. They orange-beige substance that you think would be ketchup would be fine, if only it weren’t so watery.

I take back my earlier review. This place has been open long enough so that it should have worked out all the kinks, but instead, they seem to be adding kinks(and not in the sexy sort of way). I’m just going to stop going there. They ostensibly do three things: fries, burgers, and soda. The last half dozen times I’ve been there there’s been something wrong with one of the three things. Sometimes the soda machine isn’t working. Sometimes the fries are terrible, or other times there’s no sauce or ketchup to put on them. This past time, they gave me a burger on a bun that was so hard as to be inedible. How can someone putting together a burger _not_notice that they’re actually putting together two rocks cunningly painted to look like a bun? I’m done. When it’s good, it’s good(not great, but as good as an In-N-Out knock-off can be without the In-N-Out talent and supply chain). But it hasn’t been good in a long long time, and I’m through giving them the benefit of the doubt.

I’m basing this predominately on the quality of delivered product. A wet paper bag contained a can of soda and milkshake smashed against a burger wrapped only in paper and fries wrapped in more paper in a paper tray. The fries were cold, greasy, and a pile of mush. The burger was cold, the bread damp, and it was smushed into a ball shape. The shake had ice cube chunks in it and was watery. The food might have been good if it were the right temperature and shape and packed correctly; I’ll never know, I threw it all away.

Burgers are good. However, 25 – 40 minute delivery estimate turns into 1:20 with cold, smushed-up food. In-n-out cravers, gunna have to find some other place…

Not worth the money, nor the hype. Stick with McDonald’s.

For some reason, I’ve reallyyy been craving burgers for the past week! I’ve been to the location on 3rd Avenue and I remember it really reminding me of In-N-Out. This location is so CLEAN, impeccably clean– it’s nothing like the location on 3rd Avenue which reminds me of a China-hold-in-the-wall restaurant. Double-hamburger: about $ 4. The version here tastes somewhat like a healthy burger! There’s minimal grease or charcoal imprints on the toast. It tastes okay, but it doesn’t really satisfy the«I want a fatty burger full of mayo and oily hamburger meat and buttery crisp bun goodness» craving. But perhaps I could have asked for extra sauce? It is definitely fresh! Maybe the 3rd Avenue location just tastes unhealthy because they cook sooo many burgers throughout the day and don’t clean the grill. The staff here is great though! The guy who works the register is friendly and not the least bit rude(which I’ve become accustomed to when ordering food from a take-out place).

I went here as well cuz of the KGB deal a while back. Next time I really gotta check out the reviews on Unilocal before I buy… CRAP! So I’ve been there twice. 1st time was a big disappointment. Had the double cheeseburger. 2nd time, had the regular burger. 2nd time was better than first. Burger lacked flavor and just kinda blah and even their free sauce was kinda weak. I will not be back! I always wanted to try the one on NYU but if they are the same, then I’m glad i haven’t! Blue 9 burgers will give you the blues! =( (has that been said already on Unilocal?,i hope not, i hate sounding unoriginal! hah)

The only reason I came here was because of this KGB deal that I purchased with a friend. We imagined it to be a regular burger spot where we could dine in and catch up but we discovered it was a little whole in the wall with barely a few tables. So… my coupon sat in the corner until 2 days before the expiration I decided to take a long stroll up to Hell’s Kitchen. On a Tues around 12:30, the place was virtually empty aside from one guy dining in. There were 2 guys behind the counter and I swear the guy helping me had a few screws loose or something. First he looked completely confused when I presented my coupon. I ordered the Blue 9 Combo which was $ 8.30, well below the $ 10 limit. He discussed with the other guy and came back telling me I’d owe $ 1. I got confused so quickly switched my order to something cheaper but then stopped myself — no, I am more than $ 1 under the $ 10 limit, why would I owe them anything? The 2nd guy came over and said yeah, yeah, it’s fine, what do you want. So I had to repeat my order once again. Fine. I sit on the bench waiting for my order and he finally brings a greasy looking burger and fries to the counter on a tray(I noticed he was only wearing one glove too — really hoping he didn’t touch my food with his ungloved hand). Does it look like I’m about to stay here? I’ve got my jacket on and I’m not at a table. He looks annoyed as I ask for it to go. When he gives me the bag I ask about the drink. Oh I didn’t give you one? So he gives me a cup and after I fill it, I realize there are no lids near the fountain. I ask for a lid and the 2nd guy says, what this guy didn’t do anything for you? At least he realizes the guy he’s working with is not the sharpest pencil in the box. So I’m almost on my way, just need some ketchup. I squirt the ketchup thing into the cup and realize it is an orangey substance — maybe the mango sauce everyone is talking about? Who knows — I didn’t see any ketchup around and I just wanted to be out of there. I decided to subway back to my office(there goes the savings from the coupon) and dig into my meal. Nothing special. The double-patty burger was flavorful yet greasy and the fries were thin and soggy. The sauce was kind of liquidy so not easy to dip my fries into. Wish I had some ketchup. Finished most of my burger but threw out half my fries. Really should’ve just eaten the cost of my coupon– not worth the time and energy getting here.

I had my first chance to actually go to a Blue 9 Burger since i had a groupon to the one on the west side. When i got there around 7 on a Tuesday the place was empty, although they did seem to be very busy with deliveries. I ordered the Blue 9 Burger Combo, which is very reasonable at under $ 9. It’s really not that much more than McDonald’s, with much better food. The Blue 9 Burger could’ve used a little more thousand island, but other than that it was pretty good. It was juicy but not very greasy. Fries were good too. I doubt i’ll be back here just based on the location, but i order from the east side location pretty frequently.

It’s ok for a quick-bite before you show. Don’t expect much from the service. Just focus on your food. The only thing troubles me is that the quality is not consistent. Most of time it’s good; sometimes it’s lousy. Pray when you order!

I can’t complain about these guts. They make a damn good, cheap burger. If I could, I’d chug the Mango Chili Sauce every day.

I ordered the Blue 9 burger, but nowhere in the burger did I taste the Thousand Island dressing that it was supposed to have in it. How do I know this? Because I needed a dallop of ketchup to make the burger taste better. The fries were pretty gross and for cheese, they give you the kind that you dip your nachos in. No joke. Oh, and the grilled cheese? Perhaps we should have known better, since it is a burger joint after all… But really. Using hamburger buns to make a grilled cheese sandwich? Doesn’t that defeat the whole purpose?! I’m pretty sure the bun wasn’t grilled anyway. Overall, very dissatisfied even with the KGBdeal… The staff was nice though.

This place was small with a few tables, but they have a pretty good food and beverage menu selection. Came here and ordered the Blue 9 Burger that is a double burger with thousand island dressing, lettuce and tomato. I’ve added 50 cents to have mango sauce topped the burger. The burger was juicy and not too greasy. The mango sauce went well with tenderness of the burger. I also ordered the apple, pear and ginger juice. The juice was really fresh and freshening. For some odd reason, I think I’m more into their juices than the burgers.

I’d had a KGB deal to use. The place was empty when I came in. No one wants burgers on a Sunday at 6pm? The staff was pleasant and the interior was clean. The burger was ok.. Its a thin patty, not worth the real price. The bun was toasted as I like. The shoestring fries tasted seasoned or maybe they were just burnt, but they were crispy. I wasnt impressed. Still love my Goodburger, expensive-yes!, but muy delicioso.

I would skip this place. Burger is bland and the fries suck. 2 stars for being cheap.

Pretty good, not-too-greasy burgers and fries(shared a triple-burger combo) and tried 2 different shakes(cookie-dough was one and peanut butter was the other). Used a couple of KGB vouchers so everything was half price but to my surprise everything had full taste. This Hell’s Kitchen location had only 4 tables inside but most of their business seemed to be either take-out or delivery. Wasn’t too big a fan of the mango sauce but the rest was tasty.

For the Unilocalers that loves spicy stuff, they should come here to give the«firecracker» signature styled burgers a try. In my case it was the Blue 9 Burger. What is firecracker style you ask? It’s when they cook any of their burgers on their grill drizzled in a chili sauce, then tops off the burger meat with even more chili sauce when it’s properly done. To have them cooked this way would cost you an extra 50 cents per burger. The idea of any hot sauce in a burger sounds weird and even I, a spice freak, was hesitant to get it but my curiosity got the better of me and I’m so glad I did. OMG that was delicious. The thick chili sauce in no way overpower the meatiness of the burger and in some ways even enhances the flavor. I found it pleasantly hot which to regular non-spice heads means that this is just slightly a bit on the«Wow. my mouth is on fire! Water, water!!!» side. This was confirmed by my weak sauce dining partner when she took a sample of it. The Blue 9 Burger is their version of a double cheese burger. Value wise, for the price point of the burger, it’s disappointingly small. I could personally consume two of these… easily. Your mileage may vary. All of the burgers comes with lettuce, tomatoes, and thousand island sauce. I wonder why it doesn’t includes pickles instead of having it as a side option? The shoe string styled cheese fries that comes with the combo is also a pretty small serving(to match their small burgers my dear). Although tasty, I find the fries a bit on the soggy and limp side and getting soggier and limper by the minute from the cheese topping. I think crispier fries or a thicker cut might have worked a bit better with their melted cheese. I would rate the fries three stars here. Without the signature style, I would have rated the Blue 9 burger a three also, but with it, I found myself craving the spiciness of the burger for the last two days. For that alone I give it a 3.5, leaning more heavily to a 4. Droool…

Eh nothing to write home to Mom about. I think it was a pretty bold statement to claim a comparison to In-and-Out. One this is for sure it’s a cheap bite to eat which is unusual in these parts. The meat on my cheese burger was pretty good but its McDonalds thin. The buns where not the spongy kind you would get from In-and-Out but they were nicely toasted. The fries have a nice hint of seasoning and are pretty good. The special flavors of milkshakes only really mean that they bought a few extra flavors in ice cream… and not good quality ice cream. In my opinion its a good place to go when your broke. I will say that their delivery is good but I did not find them on Seamless web like it states on their menu. They were at my door in less than a half hour. Its a small place with hardly any tables. But I wouldn’t recommend it when there are so many better places to get a burger in HK.
