Went there recently and the food was great! Customer service not so much, but the sushi was delicious. Glad they are making a comeback.

Have only ordered delivery here a few times since I moved to NYC, so cannot comment on a dine-in experience. I used Seamless, which is more or less, painless. The wait time was pretty quick, so that’s always a plus as I usually start getting really hungry once I click«order». However every time I’ve ordered from here my food just lacks in taste/flavor. They really need to learn how to use some seasoning in their dishes — even the sushi, it is as if they forget to season the rice. I kept giving it more tries as my co-workers would order all together to make it easier, but in the end I began to opt out. But, I will say that they do have really generous lunch specials/portions so it is worth the money if you’re short on cash but want decent food.

Pretty mediocre sushi is the moral of this story. I came here with some girlfriends. The area is great, the restaurant is nice enough for a caual girls night, the drinks are strong. The food is pretty mediocre, but it’s a pan-asian restaurant so they do a lot of things good enough instead of one thing really well. It’s a little confusing because the bar and the tables have two different menus like they are two different places. I was a little confused but since I only came for sushi I didn’t pay it much mind. The server was new but she was great, awesome personality, helped us even when we were being very difficult(not rude but just indecisive and noncommittal). I ordered a salmon roll, a yellowtail and scallion roll and miso soup. The rolls were solidly mediocre. The fish was fresh and the rolls were decently tight. The soup came out almost cold and it was watery with very little flavor. All in all, if I’m at my friend’s apartment and we want cheap sushi this is a good option, but if I’m willing to travel or trying to go somewhere nicer this wouldn’t be one of my stops.

This place was so good! I think it may have originally been Long Grain(which is where me and my sister wanted to go originally), but we were surprised when we saw this instead. We went in and the menu still had a lot(if not all) of the same items that Long Grain used to have. However, the ambiance and décor inside is different from what Long Grain used to have– it’s much better now! It has more of an upscale/classy feel to it. The food was delicious and came really fast. I ordered a sashimi salad. It came with tuna and salmon sashimi. The fish tasted delightfully fresh. The dressing was a kiwi dressing, but I didn’t like it much. I ended up using some of my sisters leftover ginger dressing instead, which I thought tasted much better on the salad. The service was also great! Staff was attentive. We had to ask for the check, but once we asked, they brought it out really quickly. This restaurant is close to where my sister lives, so I think this just became our new go-to sushi restaurant!

We can always count on this place for a good time. Service may be a little slow, but the sushi(and seaweed and sashimi salads!) and drinks are good. And though I’ve been there several times, I’ve never had to wait to be seated – and even better, even when the place is pretty full, you can still hear everyone at your table speaking.

Under New Management. Also known as horrible management! I have dined here at least once a well for the past year. Unfortunately since they joined long grain things have been terrible. My last and FINAL Visit was about 3 weeks ago. I have try to contact the manger ever since and he or she is never available. While dining there I found a disgusting roach in my shrimp pad thai. I informed the staff, three different people. And not one of them seemed surprised or even offered a apology. This place should be closed down.

STAYAWAY. I have ordered from this place for about 8 – 9 years(as my former favorite neighborhood thai restaurant) and usually the food has been great. I calculate I must have spent close to 6−8K with them over the last few years. LASTNIGHTTHEFOODWASINEDIBLE!!! i called them(in my 30 years in NYCII have never called any delivering restaurant to complain) and asked them what has happened? they told me change of blahblah(I didnt understand her thick accent) but i did understand that they have a new chef. They were apologetic but RECOMMENDEDTHAT I ORDERFROMLONGGRAIN! that means even they knew, yet they still took my money. Did NOT offer a reimbursement. Pad Thai = inedible. Chicken was actually GRAY and hard. Tossed in garbage. I wonder even if it was safe to eat so we didnt(wonder if it is against NYC health code) Curry = inedible and tssed rock Shrimp = OK Beef teriyaki = OK Chicken spicy fried rice= NOT spicy and undercooked So you know, I have never written an online review. but this was the worst meal I have ever ordered. I am actually resentful that I have to take time on a day off to write this so others dont make the same mistake. Need less to say they lost a loyal customer for ever.

I just had the rawest chicken wing of my life. How hard is it to fry a wing, A WING. It’s literally one of the smallest and easiest thing to fry on a chicken. I’m so disappointed because I really love this place but those lemongrass wings are not the business.

Under new mgmt and it sucks! It used to be asia kan and now it’s listed as longgrain. Long grain brought over their chef from 96& bway or hired another subpar chef. I’ve been ordering food from Asia kan since they opened many years ago. I ordered beef fried rice and calamari. The rice was sticky and over compensated with pineapple chunks. It wasn’t appetizing at all. The calamari was over cooked, old and dry. It sucks bc Asia kan was always 100% reliable with their service and food quality. I cannot knowingly throw my money away to poor quality food. I cannot believe the quality plummeted in a matter of a week. Another one bites the dust…

I ordered the pad Thai and the lobster roll and they were both pretty mediocre. However, the staff was very nice

This place is pretty damn good. Good miso soup, house salad, and sushi. It’s usually 50⁄50 if an Asian restaurant will have white or brown rice options, and for equal price, so that always makes me like a place more. Not sure if they do Naruto or not but it’s worth finding out. My coworker and I went for a quick lunch Happy Hour and it was perfect for that.

Got delivery from seamless, ordered miso soup, salmon mango roll, and tuna roll. Also got the thai iced tea. It took a little longer than expected to get delivery but it was around prime time for dinner so I can understand. The sushi was kind of warm. I mean, I typically enjoy colder sushi so slightly warm is always odd to me. Looked a little rushed but the flavor was pretty good. Same with the miso soup. I absolutely loved the thai iced tea, but it could have had less ice, because literally half the drink was just ice. That’s a mean trick. However, it being cheaper than most places made up for the stuff I didn’t like. Will order again.

I ordered from here for the first time today via seamless. They offered a 10% off coupon for first time customers, which I thought was nice. I got the sashimi lunch special. The delivery window said 80 – 95 minutes, and the food arrived in just over an hour. The special(although this was not specified on the menu) came with a miso soup, a salad, AND rice. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, and not at all skimpy with the size of the pieces. If they could speed up their delivery time I’d give 5 stars. But overall, the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

I think the food would have been good if it had arrived hot… or at least warm. So that’s why I gave them two stars instead of one. I ordered lunch takeout on seamless and it did say a delivery window of 85 – 90 minutes. It took almost 2 hours to get here and was cold. I got miso soup which was still fairly warm, so that was good. Everything else was cold. I live up in Harlem, so I feel like if they can’t get the food up here while it is still hot, they shouldn’t offer delivery… but I have ordered from other places in the same area and the food has arrived hot.

Came here for late night dinner on a weekday. All the cocktails are very summer focused. It’d be nice to have some more variety, especially when it’s below freezing. While I like the simplicity of the décor, all the chairs are worn out, and the tables are a bit chipped. Makes it look a bit old and sad. Food was pretty meh. The coconut calamari was not coconut-y at all, and the breading was not flavorful. My sushi was ok; the seaweed was not crispy, and the whole thing kind of fell apart.

Ordered the pad see euw, chicken fried rice, chicken teriyaki, and miso soup. First off the chicken fried rice was pretty good. It was flavorful and had just the right amount of veggies, chicken, and rice. The pad see euw however, was too salty. The chicken teriyaki was wrong. It wasn’t even chicken. I called them to let them know and to send a replacement and they said I had to wait an hour. I mean what the heck. I have to wait another hour for part of my dinner? That is ridiculous. The rest of my food would be cold. Extremely disappointed.

We hosted a bridal shower lunch at Asia Kan and all our guests were amazed with the space and food! One night, one of the bridesmaid’s and I went to Asia Kan for a delicious dinner. She ordered the fried udon noodle and I got the black squid ink pasta and basil eggplant. The food was amazing and the price was on point. After speaking with the owner, who was very nice, she agreed to let us use her basement space for the bridal shower. The basement has a nice bar area and is pretty spacey for Manhattan! After working out a nice menu for the party, she also was very accommodating and let us decorate the night before and go in early the day of. The space is very versatile — were able to move everything around and changed the lounge-y feel of the basement and transform it into a girly and romantic makeover(hey, it was a bridal shower!). The food fit our tight budget too — we were able to get the guests all a noodle dish, appetizer, an alcoholic drink(hooray for all day special of $ 4 guava/mango bellinis!), and non-alcoholic drink(because who doesn’t love a refreshing Thai iced tea?). I’ve gone to Asia Kan a few times before for dinner to prepare for the bridal shower and must say that I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ordered: Pad Thai, pad see euw, the spicy basil noodles(pad kee mao), AK fried soft shell crab salad, and basil eggplant… all delicious! Service was great too. The waiters were attentive and very polite. Whether you’re looking for a party venue or just wanting a great Thai meal, Asia Kan is your place!

We had a lovely bridal shower here for our friend. The ambiance was just what we were looking for. It was very calm, zen, rustic and romantic. Everything was perfect and even better than expected! Our friend was a happy bride. :) The food was great and staff was very helpful and attentive. The owner always made sure we were taken care of, and always asked if we needed help. I love the atmosphere at Asia Kan. It’s a very relaxed and chill environment. I came here a couple of times here before just to wine and dine with friends, drink a couple of cocktails and satisfy our Thai cravings. In the summer time, they would open their floor length windows and it felt like an outdoor dining experience, which I love! The food is always soo good. I’ve had the Pad Thai, Pad See Euw with Shrimp, and Spicy Thai Basil here before. It’s so delicious, I keep having cravings for it! Overall, I love this place. Definitely would recommend to anyone! Will always be coming back :) !!

This is my go-to place for Thai food in the UWS. I’ve had the Pad Thai with chicken, Drunken Noodles(Pad Kee Mao), and most recently, Tamarind Duck. The dinner portions are pretty large so bring an appetite. Pad Thai is pretty standard, yummy but nothing to write home about. Then again, how hard can it be to mess up this popular dish. The chicken was tender and the noodles well seasoned. Drunken noodles I liked a bit better, but that’s personal preference; it’s quite possibly my favorite Thai dish. The noodles were perfectly seasoned and the beef and veggies were fresh. I definitely recommend this dish. Finally, on my most recent trip I tried the Tamarind Duck to change things up a bit. From the Chef’s Special menu, this dish was a bit pricier than I’m used to($ 20). It was in fact my first time trying duck… and I was NOT disappointed. Firstly just the presentation is beautiful, and they give you a nice large portion of duck breast. It was so tender and yummy… the sweet tamarind sauce just added to the flavor explosion. My new favorite dish from here. All in all I find this a pretty solid place for Thai. My family has had the sushi which I’ve heard is good, but have not tried myself. Also, give the curry puffs a try; great appetizer. OH! And they have a happy hour which I think is a great deal…$ 3 beers(4pm-8pm) and mojitos(all night). I had a few Singhas, very refreshing Thai beer.
