Adam Chinese & Japanese Restaurant

The delivery time is sooooo long. I tried to call twice and nobody pick it up at all. After long waiting, my food arrived, I realized they didn’t gave me a correct drink which I ordered grape soda, instead they gave me ginger ale. However my most disappointment towards this restaurant is food. I ordered pineapple fried rice but it is extremely salty! I have to drink a lot of water to eat the fried rice and I eventually gave it up because it’s salty taste. OMG it’s sooooooo salty!!! I wish they could try to taste it before gave to customer.

This place has been closed by the NYC health department.

Disgusting. I don’t understand how this place is still in business. The restaurant hardly looks to be open its so dark and dingy inside. They originally had a C sanitary rating and I’ve seen a dead rat outside… it probably ate the food.

Terrible food. Do not trust the Seamless 5 stars — I couldn’t even finish what I ordered. Waste of money and time.

This place is an insult to food. They brought absolutely inedible disgusting slop to my house. Complaining to Seamless now. I should have checked out Unilocal before ordering.

When you first walk up to this place you would think it’s close so dark and dingy. Then I start my order when done I handed her my card and with that annoying squeaky voice do you have cash. If you except credit cards why extra cash. I told no she what a bitch fit. Just do your job and get me my food. Attitude makes a great a business and can break one too. I also got a can of ginger Ale the can was dirty clean the can you lazy pice of shit and stop looking shit up on you iPad. A place of business. The food was hot and good thanks you did not make it. I gave them 1 star. I’ll spend my money else. Douchebags

Disgusting. There were hairs and feathers all over my fried chicken. Couldn’t even it eat. Luckily I ordered vegetable lo mein as well, but that was dry and tasteless. Won’t ever be ordering from there again. This is one of the few reviews I have ever written, because it takes a lot to piss me off or gross me out enough to do so, but this definitely needed to be shared!!! It has 5 stars on seamless! I wonder is Adam writes his own reviews. The trend on here seems to be dirty and rude and I have to agree 100%!!!

Terrible customer and delivery service. Rude and inattentive. 2 hours to deliver food. No apologies discounts or complimentary meal after the long wait. Food is average and was cold when received. The fried rice was very basic. My home made one is better and I’m not Chinese. First and last time I order Chinese food from a place with a western name on it!

Ordered takeout here. Took 45min to get my food and this restaurant is a block away from me. And I ordered at 11pm tues night. I don’t think they’re that busy at that time. Ordered salmon teriyaki dinner. My salad was a bunch of baby spinach with dressing on the side. What happened to Asian salad typical of most restaurants? The food came with a lot of water in it I guess born the steamed broccoli. So the sauce got all diluted on the fish and made it less tasty. For 18 $ including tip and tax. Kind of disappointing. Probably will not order from here again.

Place should be shut down! Rude staff, Rubbery food… Disgusting …They should have never been born! And what Chinese guy is named Adam… well I guess here„ you know why because they had to change their name because of so many violations. .BEWARE, I warn you.. Wish I could give negative stars!

Worst service, delicious food. Be prepared to wait. Can no longer order from them as they repeatedly lie about delivery time. If you want to wait close to two hours after you’ve been a frequent customer, enjoy? Food will come late and cold. Hot and fresh used to be great.

Disgusting, foul foul food.
I ordered food and the dumplings and the Tso’s Chicken were all dough — cold dough because they took an hour to go 10 blocks. Seamless said there were 700+reviews rating it 5 stars, and I couldn’t find those reviews. I’m commencing an investigation into the Seamless rating logic.
This place should be shut down.

Not only did my food just come cold, but the tuna roll I got was grey with a reflecting glow… I threw away all my sushi in fear of getting sick… I am now going to make a cold cut sandwich.

I’m repeating what other people said but had a similar experience. Great reviews on Seamless but awful in every way. Food took close to an hour to arrive, they gave me the wrong food, and the sauce was over flowing from the container. This was my first and last time. It’s unfortunate you’d have to check Unilocal and Seamless to believe if reviews a are legit.

Another dissatisfied customer. Found them though seamless with a good review, but should of checked Unilocal first! Chicken tasted old, and the sweat and sour chicken was all dough and no chicken. Basically anything that took more than heating up in microwave wasn’t good.

Disgusting. I’ve seen them keep all of the delivery motor bikes in the restaurant over night. Is it a restaurant or a garage? Also, the workers have a paint can with water where they throw cigarettes and it just piles up in this brown tobacco water for days/​weeks at a time until it is overflowing. Really — you can’t throw it in a garbage?
And perhaps my favorite, the Department of Health rating seems to fluctuate from C to B but it’s hard to tell because they cover up the rating with other paper. You can’t even tell the letter. Isn’t that the point of the rating? The DOH should probably add that to the list of infractions.

I actually like the Food here. It’s cheaper than and a lot tastier than most of the hole
in the wall Chinese food places in the area.
I must admit the delivery guy yelled at my room mate about tip also. $ 40 Bill and he tipped $ 2, LOL — I understand the guys perspective, he is probably the only delivery person they have so he deals with a lot of BS. More so, I’m sure the management isn’t the greatest. Unhappy Employees=Bad Service.
My advice, give them 45 mins to deliver, and don’t be a crappy tipper. general rule 8−10% for delivery.

I ordered from this place on Seamless Web. Estimated Delivery Time: 30 – 45 minutes. I didn’t get my food for an hour and a half. When the food finally arrived. .. it was without question THE WORST CHINESE FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.

I actually found this place on Seamless which had 97 reviews with an overall 5 star! When I looked on Unilocal,I was a bit skeptic since there aren’t many reviews.
Since I ordered online, I had no idea what this placed looked like. It’s a fairly large restaurant, but I would say it’s rather a «sketchy» looking place. They had no customers when I walked in. But what a pleasant surprise. when it came to the actual food! Don’t be fooled because it doesn’t have your typical Chinese type of restaurant name.
Based solely on the food, I would probably give this place a 5 star and would order from here again. I gave it a 4 star because of the ambiance of the restaurant.
I’ve tried Wok 88 from the UES, which I think is average (2 – 3 star). If you’re doing a take out I would pick Adam’s over Wok 88.

Very disappointed. I have ordered my favorite rolls and some noodles. When i opened a box with rolls, i have found a hair — well, one hair is ok, it may happen, not a huge deal (which is a big deal actually) but i have found at least 4 without touching them — just there, it like it was topped with hair on purpose. Disgusting!!! could not even make myself to try noodles. Oh, and by the way, no refund from the restaurant!!!
