Fun! Great balcony seating. And staff is so friendly! Come here when you get tired of walking Bourbon street., and enjoy the people watching from a nice balcony seat.

I like this place. Even though it’s branded as a gay bar it still has something for everyone. I like the music videos playing. I am not a sports fan and I get tired of every other bar having ESPN on. Service is good and friendly. I just had a basic goose and cranberry but it was good. Bartender did not skimp. Stop by and enjoy yourself.

I love Bourbon Pub and Parade on SUNDAYS! Two fabulous reasons, on Sundays upstairs between 6 – 8 is Drink and Drown. The prices have gone up, but $ 10 cover gets you a wristband and access to the upstairs prior to the Sunday Night Drag Shows and it’s free rail cocktails, as many as you can chug down, until the cutoff at 8pm.(Don’t forget to tip.) Very dangerous, but oh so fun. Then, downstairs in the main bar participate in Singalong Sundays where it’s nothing but show tunes, Cher and throwback Paula Abdul videos. It’s a blast!

I Wanna Dance With Somebody… This bar will always be known as the Whitney Houston bar. My boyfriend(now husband) was dancing wildly to a song of hers, when he shouted«I love Whitney!» twirled around a few times, hands in air, then promptly knocked into a wall, face first. It was super busy downstairs as well as upstairs on the balcony. I don’t recall being too happy with my drink after waiting in line forever to get it. My husband, some hotshot.

By far my favorite gay bar in NOLA. Of all that I visited this one would fit best in West Hollywood(home) and it is separate from the trashier/more touristy end of Bourbon Street. Downstairs is packed with a round-table style bar set up while upstairs there is both a fun dance floor as well as a chill balcony. Cheap drinks and friendly bartenders, this place has a real fun upbeat vibe and was full of good looking guys while I was there(weekend in January). Lose the cover and it’s five stars.

In town with my daughter and her girlfriend, the gentleman behind the bar was the most warm receptive young man bartending in a long time. The welcome and constant attention we were given has made us a loyal fan of bourbon pub. More bars should have a Wes making all their guests comfortable and welcome …

The best gay bar in Nola! If Aletha is working it’s a must to visit! She puts west Hollywood to shame. She knows exactly how to make you feel right at home xoxo

Had a blast at Bourbon Pub! Highly recommend for a fun time. I prefer the eastern end of Bourbon street to the other side, and this bar is a perfect reason why. Easygoing, fun dance music, large porches on the 2nd floor, with a stage as well, strong drinks to boot.

I am so glad they changed the rules way back when to allow straight girls into this place. Sunday Funday just would not be the same without a visit to this bar. Order a Bloody Mary. Nice and spicy and they don’t skimp on the booze. Tim, our bartender, is a great guy and really knows his stuff. Not a lot of quality beers on tap, so come here for the cocktails or a bottled brew.

This place is fun. Not as much of a space for dancing like Oz across the street, but I always seem to come across someone that I know here so that can be good. The drinks are good and strong and covers are generally not ridiculous. The bartenders are pretty cool and keep the drinks coming. I really like mingling on the balcony as well. Definitely a cool spot!

My favorite bar on Bourbon St! This is one of the friendliest bars you will ever come to. Everyone there, including the bartenders, are so laid-back and welcoming. I always have a great time here. Last week I went there around 2am and stayed till almost 7am. They were showing old school videos all night long. It was loud in there(got even louder when they played Britney videos for about half an hour) and so much fun. This is one of the bars that makes the Quarter unique to me!

This place was the only thing that was at all happening on a Wednesday night in August. Had about ten people… whereas other places had, like, two. Had a drink. Cute Latino guy flirted with me at the bar. Touched me borderline inappropriately. That’s all I really wanted on a Wednesday night. Thanks, Bourbon Pub!

Oh yeah! This place! So I’s order a white Russian, then I’s order a black Russian, then I’s order another, and the bartender say’s you want it white or black, and I’s say black, and then the giggles.

A fun spot that anchors the quarter’s gay scene. Of all the gay bars in the French Quarter, I’ve spent the most time here during my visits. I love the layout of the first floor. It has a big bar with plenty of seating and some huge TVs that are usually playing some of the gayest music videos you can imagine. The downstairs crowd skews a little bit older but it’s usually crowded enough to include people of all ages. This floor is friendly, laid back, and lively but it’s not too loud for a good conversation(unlike a certain gay bar that rhymes with ‘boz’ across the street…) Upstairs has a dance floor and a nice balcony. It’s a clubbier atmosphere than downstairs but never seems to be as crowded… To be honest, it just feels like a lame club where no one dances. Maybe my experiences up there were unusual but there never seemed to be more than a couple dozen people on the dance floor. This has been the case for me both on weeknights and weekends. Overall, Bourbon Pub and Oz complement each other well. For your dancing, go to Oz. For a great high-energy gay bar, the ground floor at Bourbon Pub is a guaranteed good time.

Really cheap drinks. Only 5 $ for a mix drink and lemme tell you some of the nicest people here. No creepy come ons just kind people hanging out and grabbing. Adele drinks and always something fun playing on the tv screens. Rupaul drag race anybody? You better work!

The thing you need to know about Bourbon St bars(gay or straight) is that they’re all the same. They’re old. They’re loud. They’re smoky. They’re crowded. They have rickety balconies on the second floor, where people throw beads… and throw up. Most importantly, they all serve cheap drinks in plastic cups to go, so you don’t have to linger inside any longer than you want. Bourbon Pub is perfect example of this. The inside is dark and drab, and the only distinguishing features are the music videos playing — which bring a little excitement to an otherwise sleepy bar. The bartenders are fast but stand-offish — pretty typical of Bourbon St. The crowd is… interesting. There are a smattering of locals — scary geriatric dudes who must’ve plopped down into their dark corners decades ago and have been chain-smoking and downing shots ever since. Everyone else seems to be a tourist. Oh, did I mention there are go-go boys? They weren’t really dancing when I was there — just bobbing their heads up and down. They seemed bored. I don’t blame them. Despite the general«meh» feeling that I got at Bourbon Pub, it still deserves 3 stars… for no other reason than their $ 3 gin and sodas.
