I enjoyed this place. I discovered it when I needed a quick dinner between shows at the Saenger. We usually end up across the street at Deanie’s, but I opted to try something new. The cheese and charcuterie platter was awesome as is the Cajun Cuban Sandwich and the Blackened Redfish sandwich. Best part is that it is a one stop shop for me between shows: dinner and little cocktail at Batch and then coffee at the shop across the hall, Powdered Sugar. Also, it is only two blocks from the Saenger which makes it very convenient. So, far the only cocktail I have had is the French 75 which I enjoyed. They do a good job with this standard New Orleans cocktail. I will be back between shows to try other fare and cocktails soon.

Great space; quick service, but the cocktails are sad. The bacon bourbon is so saturated with fat that it is a cloudy mess with an overwhelming fat flavor. The bartender doesn’t measure ingredients, just pours into a glass, slings some wet ice into the glass, and serves. Some highly skilled bartenders can measure by pour. Not here. And wet ice just about guarantees the drink will be over diluted, which happened here. Not what a $ 13 cocktail should be. Not even close. Maybe it was just a fluke. But before you buy, watch the bartender make a drink or two.

This place was fantastic. We went right in and got served immediately. The cocktail list was great and the knowledge of all the ingredients help tremendously. We had the blackend red fisg which I recommend. The fish was fresh and blackened to perfection. This place is attached to a hotel and it is a nicw break from all the craziness on bourbon street.

This was my first time visiting. It was recommended by my sister. Listen, if she recommends a spot, you better adhere. She won’t steer you wrong. I’m sure glad I listened to her. Let me say, it was a wonderful experience. The shrimp mac & cheese, yum. The nachos were delicious. We were all completely satisfied with our meals. I had a great birthday celebration here, and i will definitely be back. This was most certainly a break from eating at the same old restaurants. The service was great, and the staff was very accommodating to our party of 8. Thank you, Batch for leaving me with a memorable birthday dinner.

I decided to come to the hotel bar«Batch» after my original plans of going to a jazz bar fell through. And you know what? I had a great time! Alan, the bartender, was amazing and got me to order a drink that I never would have ordered, and it was one of the best drinks i’ve had in a long time! Fun conversations with the staff and other patrons are what made it such a great night! I also got the nachos and they were delicious and a large portion. Be sure to stop in if you’re staying at the Hyatt French Quarter!

Right across the street from Deanie’s, the buzzer works at this very posh and yet super friendly hotel bar. Good beer choices and appetizers.

Inside the Hyatt French Quarter where we stayed. Bar is cool and Patrick rocks on the drinks! He infuses bourbon and vodka and makes the best drinks. Loved hanging out there after walking NOLA all day.

[came here Monday, Feb 16, 2015] Drinks were good, service was piss poor. SHORTSTORY: I called Batch 4 weeks in advance to make a reservation for 13. I show up for my reservation and the bar gave away our promised table and did not have the drinks they promised would be ready either. LONGSTORY: I spoke to one of their managers Ray Gil 4 weeks in advance to let him know I wanted to make a reservation for 13 people at Batch for 8pm on Feb 16th. He says he’ll have a big wooden table reserved for my group. 2 weeks later I get a call from another manager Tyler saying that he’ll have 3 different barrels of bourbon for us(pecan, bacon and peppercorn) and will email me a food list so that we can choose things to eat while we drink. I never received an email. The day of I receive a phone call from another manager Adam who asks if I’m still coming at 8pm that night. I confirm with him that we’ll have our own table and that the 3 barrels will be ready. He sounds unsure but says that they’ll be ready for our reservation. When my group shows up at 8:10pm it takes me several minutes before anyone at the bar acknowledges me entering where I can ask for a manager about my reservation. Once someone does, it takes another few minutes before Adam comes to greet me. I tell him we’re ready to sit down and he says that the long table in the center of the bar is where our party WOULD have been seated. He explains that they had to give away our table because they got busy. Judging by the slow service and that the people at the table already had their barrels and food it’s obvious they were seated at the table long before our 8pm reservation. Adam offers to seat us at Powdered Sugar, the café across the hall, so that we can all sit together. I reluctantly agree only because he says he’ll be over with food and drink menus soon. I ask again about the 3 barrels that the previous managers said would be ready and he says something along the lines of «he’ll see what he can do.» We sit there for another 15 minutes before Adam appears again ready to take our drink and food order. Still haven’t seen any sort of menu yet. I tell him this won’t do because nobody ever came by so we go back to sit inside the bar. When I ask one last time about the 3 barrels he says they can only do 2 but he can do a flask for the third. I get fed up and order 2 barrels(bacon bourbon and a dark and stormy using peppercorn jack) and 3 flasks(sazerac rye, french quarter punch and bacon bourbon manhattan). The only reason I didn’t cross out the 20% gratuity they added was that it goes to the bartender who was working alone and came over to check on us twice when he had the chance. It wouldn’t be fair to screw him over when this was clearly a management problem.

Batch is modern, cool, and has a very hip vibe just a block or so off Bourbon street. Food is good, seating is comfortable, and the hotel is great!

We had drinks at Batch one of the 4 nights we were staying at the Hyatt. The signature drinks were really good. We ordered food and enjoyed it as well. The bartender was friendly and it was slow enough that he was able to show each patron attention.

I am a Carrie girl til the day I die! Since the late 90s, I have been all about cosmos and cool spots! Samantha gave me life, while Carrie reminded us how a city girl loved cosmos and other similar drinks. Mixology meets downtown fabulosity. New Orleans is one of the most influential cities for partying. You can literally go to a new spot every night of the week for a year. Batch is one of the BEST hotel bars in the city. It is where I wanna go when I wanna go to SATC! The environment is similar to NYC and the craft cocktails are delish! The food is soulful, which shocked me. Atmosphere is really cool for parties/gatherings!

If you’re a tourist staying nearby, don’t walk past this bar like we did our first few days. It’s a clean, cool, modern looking bar in the front of a cool, modern looking hotel. We thought it would be too fancy for what we were looking for so we walked by it several times. On our second to last day, we noticed a happy hour sign in front and decided to stop in. Happy hour is from 4 – 7 on weekdays, which I love. The more hours, the happier I am. Not a wide range of drinks on special, but more than enough. And it might change depending on the day, but my guess is probably not. When we went, all draft beers and house wines were $ 3, which is a great deal for this kind of place. Most of the drafts were local — Abita, NOLA, etc. The only downside is that there are only like 4 or 5 to choose from, but I’m sure there’s something for everyone. There were also only a few wines to choose from, the normal 2 whites and 2 reds. If you drink wine, and go to happy hours, you know what the varietals are. There was also a bar food special, which is probably one chef’s choice each night. We went in just for one drink, but had a good time. The bartender was very nice. Not overbearing, but was very forthcoming when we were asking him questions and advice for where to go on our last night. If you’re in the area, and looking for a drink off of bourbon, stop in!

This was my first time in New Orleans. My wife and I walked down Bourbon St. I really didn’t care for cheap draft beer. So my wife and I stopped at Batch Lounge located at 800 Iberville St. My wife ordered a «French 75» drink. I ordered a bloody marry. My wife loved her drink. Mine bloody was the best ever! Shrimp, bacon and so much more! Delicious! ! A big shout out to our waitress Shealeigh! She recommended our drinks and was so helpful. She gave us a map, directions and local tips. Boom! Don’t miss this classy place!

Great spot! We were told by someone living in New Orleans about this hotel bar/restaurant and we were very impressed with our experience. We were immediately greeted by a very professional and polite bartender named Patrick, you can tell he genuinely enjoys his job as a mixologist. It was a great breath of fresh air getting off of Bourbon Street to find something a tad more«classy». He makes one hell of a Margarita! Loved it. Very refreshing, not full of sour mix. We ordered some bar food to snack on, please keep in mind the portions of the Fry plates are enough to feed 2 – 4 people depending on how hungry you are. I wish we would have listened to his advice. We shared the sweet potato fry plate as well as the regular fry plate. I personally enjoyed the one with the BBQ pork much better, the first one had entirely too many components. The hotel is beautiful, and perfectly located we are hoping to stay here during a future trip to New Orleans.

I only stopped by Batch for a quick drink before dinner, but think it merits a review for its amazing GARDENMARY. I actually had no idea what I was ordering — I guess I wasn’t paying attention — I just picked the first thing I saw with Vodka — and out comes this beautiful concoction. Their version of the bloody mary comes with a full strip of bacon and a cajun flavored shrimp. The shrimp itself was amazing and I could have eaten an entire order of it. Best bloody ever. I also loved the décor… it’s very upscale /classy /modern, and definitely doesn’t feel like the first floor bar of a hotel. An amazing amenity for hotel guests and also a great place for people not staying at the hotel!

For a hotel bar, the cocktails and food were both very good. I tried the sweet and spicy walnuts, and they were incredible. Moving on to dinner, the ½ chicken was also excellent. Not heavily breaded… just lightly pan fried, and the flavor was great. I chose asparagus, but those were a little oily, and overcooked. Also had one of the specialty cocktails… an Old Fashioned. FYI… this is my favorite cocktail that has been passed down to me by my father-in-law, which was passed down to him from his father. It we also top notch. I chose Jim Beam, which is what I’ve always used. Tastes almost exactly like my recipe. Not sure what they soaked black cherries in, but the drink was awesome. To finish off the meal, I had an Abita local beer, which was also very good. I’m a big fan of trying local brews, and this was a quality local brew!

Lovely bar in the Hyatt hotel. Has everything a guest at the hotel would enjoy. I had my first neat Woodford Bourbon here and it was overall a delightful experience. The ambiance is comfortable, with guests who are dressed up for a night out as well as those just hanging out watching a game or waiting on a friend staying at the hotel. Plenty of seating and the bartender was really awesome to chat up. Thanks!

One of THE best hotel bars I’ve been in in quite some time… love the couch/chair groupings they have for intimate conversation… 4 – 5 bar tables that seat 2 each… just puts out a laid back mellow vibe which makes for an intimate feeling throughout the place. Immensely enjoyed the Unilocal Elite event held there and this place will be on my list to hit when I’m back in NOLA!
