The orders have always been correct and the shades are exactly what we wanted for the room. Sandra is knowledgeable about the products and offers sound decorating advice. My wife and I recently converted our spare room to act as a guest room and play room for our toddler. Sandra was able to work within our. budget to recommend window treatments that were both aesthetically pleasing as well as functionally safe. Delivery was punctual and we have been more than pleased with the level of customer service both before and after the sale. Decided to place hunter douglas shutters throughout our entire home. We decided to use Laura’s draperies in Norwalk based off reviews. Sandra was a very nice lady who came out with another woman to do a personal consult and evaluation of our property. Once we decided what shutters to order, she sent her installer, Joe, out to measure all windows. The shutters were ordered and once they came in, Joe came out to install. This was when the experience drastically went in a negative direction. After installation, the shutters in certain rooms were either sagging or with noticeable gaps in the window moldings. In addition, the window moldings had gashes throughout each room — we were appalled! Our home was new construction and Joe, the installer, had the nerve to tell my husband as well as Sandra of Laura’s Draperies that the damage was there beforehand. In an effort to correct the problem, we had multiple revisions to the shutters with Sandra and Joe at our home. Sandra offered money to repair the damaged window moldings, but did very little in the way of customer service to offer an apology for a very poor installation job by Joe. In addition, I believe now that we used a different company for the rest of the shutters in our home, Sandra advised us improperly on the correct shutter and frame to use for our windows. The experience was so bad we did not go forward with the last part of our order which was to finish our living area in the downstairs part of the home. We went with Colby’s of Ridgefield and thank goodness we did! It was only after we decided to use Colby’s did we figure out that Sandra had advised us incorrectly in ordering the shutter/​frame configuration for our windows. In addition, the installer from Colby’s was by far superior than Joe of Laura’s Draperies. These shutters and installation are very expensive. I wish we would have used Colby’s for the entire job in our home. If I can save someone else from using Laura’s Draperies, then I will. Horrible experience from advisement and ordering with Sandra which only worsened with installation horror with Joe.

Outstanding customer service. I had several custom blinds and shades installed in my home several years ago by Laura’s Draperies. They did a great job at the time and I was very pleased with installation. However, it was only recently that I truly got to see the great customer service that they offered first hand. I recently had one of the blinds break and called Laura’s to inquire about repair. They quickly looked up my file and actually remembered me from years ago! They explained that the blinds were covered under warranty and offered to ship and repair them for free and would call in a few days when they arrived. Sure enough, they arrived good as new in a few days and I picked them up. They had all of my information on file quickly and this was a completely hassle free service.
I would recommend Laura’s Draperies, not only for your initial purchase, but also for your post purchase relationship, they truly stand by their work and it is clear that they want the customer to be happy no matter what.
