Good place to grab a quick lunch. Super good. Rice is not too sticky and the dressing for the thinly sliced cabbage is good too.

As I expected, not as good as I hoped. Katsu was average but soba was definitely subpar. Noodles were too soft and the sauce was what you’ll find off the market shelf. 2 mini side dishes were a disappointment as well.

The chicken cutlet with curry is delicious. Their complimentary salad was tasteful and a good addition to the meal. The free soda was awesome as well. Take advantage of that offer. I would totally come again !

I went there for lunch on Sat. and ordered Chicken Terriyaki lunch special. It not only took more than 20 minutes to get the food(while my friend almost finished her sashimi rice mix), they actually served 2 plates that were placed after me. Only when I asked where my order was, did they bring out the my food. Tip: You’ll get your food fast if you order anything else than the lunch special(and even faster if you order a more expensive menu).

I really like the katsu here. It’s not too heavy especially with the cabbage and pickled vegetables really make it more refreshing while eating the fried pork chop.

I wanted to order food from this restaurant but the lady at the cash register counter was too busy fiddling with her phone to notice me. I waited a while, she glanced a few times but said nothing. I decided to just leave. Very poor customer service. This is also a good reason why people should put their phones away while they are at work.

i am an avid chicken teriyaki lover and after buying some groceries, i got hungry so i decided to buy some food here. i tried the chicken teriyaki bowl, pretty delicious and very worth it for the 4.99 $ price. they put enough teriyaki sauce. other meals look good too, but this is what i was craving. they also have a machine with free water for customers.

Ordered the pork cutlet with soba noodles. The cutlet and the gravy were good. Not sure what the slaw is all about — it’s alright but way too much of it. The soba noodles were meh. I did appreciate the fried potato ball. If I were craving Katsu, I’m not sure that I would pick this place over L&L.

First off, how could I have lived in the valley for 5 years and not know that the Galleria Market on Reseda is an amazing and huge Korean Grocery store? And that it has a pretty impressive food court, with 3 Korean restaurants, this Katsu place and a Sushi place, and filled with Koreans(think I was the only white person there). I will be going back and trying the Korean places, but loving Chicken Katsu Curry form the curry house I had to see if there was something like it closer than downtown LA. And there is, though not quite up to par with Curry House, though I love the sides, but great for so close to my house. Kelly and I both got the Chicken Katsu Curry. And we got a device to tell us when to come back. Finding a seat was a bit of a fight as their could certainly be more seats, but you can find one, and they have people to come and clean what people have left. As you can see the Kastu plate is huge for under $ 10, with a delicious cabbage salad, 2 pickled veggies, rice, Miso soup and the curry sauce. And the chicken is white meat, with a good breading(though dark meat always gives a little more flavor. My biggest complaint was the curry sauce, which while good, was just not strong enough, and with zero spice. Next time I might need to bring some hot oil to put in to kick the flavor up, and give me my spice level I like(and yes I will go back). Quite good and tasty, though yes I could use a little stronger curry sauce. Can’t wait to get back to the Galleria food court and try some more food!

If you’ve ever been to the Tonkatsu House in Koreatown, this is a close sister to it, and you already know what to expect. Quality is surprisingly good and since it’s at a serve yourself food court, the value is well worth the trip. Located in a Northridge Korean food court with about 5 other Korean restaurants, Katsu serves large portions of deep fried breaded chicken, pork, fish, or hamburger with rice and coleslaw. They have several different varieties too, including with curry sauce and soba combos, and the quantity they give you is pretty impressive. The lunch special, which my parents ordered, was only $ 7.99 and you got a choice of chicken, pork or fish katsu with a sweet and cold brown sauce served with soup and rice. You also got a large helping of their coleslaw and also some pickled radish. For $ 7.99, it was an impressive deal. I got the curry pork katsu cutlet, which came with a much larger sized pork cutelet and the aforementioned extras except with a rich Japanese curry sauce, one of my favorites. The food is really good, the service was quick(they give you one of those remote vibrating lite em up doodads so you can wait seated at a table) and the quantity is surprisingly a lot. What more could you ask for? Free drink? Oh yes, check in to Unilocal here and you get a free drink. Perfect! Highly recommended.

Unilocalers! Check in for free soft drink. And then order something new. Pork tonkatsu is so 2013. How about chicken katsu — it is delicious here and comes on a mini four-legged grill top. The breading is pretty light so it doesn’t taste as deep fried as(regrettably) we know it is. Also included is the usual mound of stuff that looks like it should go in the bottom of an easter egg basket(it’s shredded cabbage), miso soup and some mini kim chee banchan that are pretty good. Add your free drink and you’ll feel like king of the food court here in your Galleria Market kingdom. Extra cash before you go? Stop by the blanket guy right outside the food court(unYelpable). I got some sweat pants that are the super soft blanket material you’ll find at Kim’s or Chong’s, but they’re pants! Very snuggly for madam or monsieur.

I really like the cutlet curry here. yumo, It’s a good sized portion and a value for the price. From the pics you wouldn’t think you’re in a food court right, but you are. Located in side the Galleria supermarket food court in Northridge off Reseda and Devonshire. I normally go to Curry House in Little Tokyo, it’s by far my favorite but since this is local i’ll come here and with the money saved on gas i’ll just order more stuff. I’m surprised they have sushi here and along with spider rolls as you normally won’t find these items at Curry House but hey if it’s good and it sells keep it on the menu. You can’t beat the lunch specials here and it’s served rather quick.

Nice sushi joint~ The fish that they use r so fresh!!! Loved their sweet shrimp and uni~ two of my favorites. The portions r kindda small and it’s alittle pricy but i guess it was worth it since my kids loved it. My 14 y.o. is a hearty sushi eater… ^^ Their rolls r decent size. I din’t like the popcorn shrimp roll(i think that is what it’s called) cuz i wuz expecting something more crispier. All others were yummy~

If your looking for REAL katsu it’s not here. Katsu is a Japanese cutlet but this taste like something different to me. I love katsu but couldn’t not enjoy my food here because of the different taste of the sauce and cutlet.

Hard to judge since I’m sick but the price is decent… for lunch special options of pork, chicken, or fish cutlet it costs $ 7.99. Meal comes with miso soup, rice, healthy portion of cabbage salad(good dressing), and some banchan. The katsu itself is moist and the breading is not too thick and crunchy. Also noticed it is light, not oily or greasy.

Saw previous reviews for this place and we decided to try this place out. Restaurant is in the food court of Galleria market. They have all sorts of katsu — chicken, hamburger, and pork. I decided to try the chicken katsu dinner portion. Plate came with miso soup. The chicken portion was quite generous. I’ve gotten chicken katsu at the hawaiian place across the street and the chicken is quite thin and greasy. At least the chicken was cooked fresh and was not greasy. The chicken katsu was served to you on a small rack which kept the chicken away from the cabbage salad. The lunch plate is a little cheaper at around $ 8 which does not come with miso soup. There is place to eat at the tables in the food court or you can take this to go. Will definitely come back. For the present time(limited period), there is a Unilocal check in special where you can get a free can of soda with purchase(for dinner menu not lunch).

Really great place. I actually got my order to go and I think it was awesome that the lady separated the cabbage from the meat so my katsu was still crispy! Can’t wait to go back there. The portions are big and the price is fair.

So many places use a sub standard cut of meat, fry it up and call it Katsu. Not the case here, the chicken katsu is a nice solid slice of chicken breast fried nicely so that the chicken is moist and tasty and the coating is light(at least for deep frying). The cabbage side and miso soup are adequate. Overall, a good choice in this food court.

New spot located at the food court inside the Galleria Market, southwest of Devonshire St. and Reseda Blvd. Lots of parking in the plaza. I had their curry cutlet(pretty good) which came with a side of cabbage salad(yummy dressing), miso soup, small bowl of rice, and a small side of radish kimchi. They give you a lot of food so I ended up taking some home: P
