Charles D Goodman, MD

He is a great doctor. My kids actually like coming to see their «friend». He makes kids very comfortable and speaks to them on their level. They always have appointments available for emergency visits. He is pro-​vaccine and very outspoken about it! I’ll be coming here as long as I can.

He was my doctor then my little sisters doctor now he is my kids doctor. My whole family loves him, he’s a great!

Dr Goodman is the absolute #1 doctor I have found in California and my kids will be seeing him as long as we continue to live here. Caring, attentive, knowledgeable and supportive. Love the office, love the staff and the overall atmosphere. To bad I cannot give 10 stars.

Dr. Goodman and his entire staff is amazing! All three of my kids have gone there since birth (my oldest is now 12). He is patient, kind and extremely knowledgeable! Took my daughter to urgent care and it was a complete waste of time, not only did they diagnosis it wrong– they did nothing about it! Dr. goodman knew exactly what it was and drained it on the spot. My kids love him and his entire staff– would definitely recommend to any parents looking for a pediatrician– would give him 10 stars if I could!

The building old and shaky but the office itself is clean. Nice TV and toys for the kids but the problem is they don’t care about the patient more than the billing. Meaning, my child suffered months and missed school weeks at a time due to their inability to provide the proper tests. It was always basic blood tests and never got anywhere and I begged for a specialist but they said we’d have to wait and still insisted that the blood tests were normal. We needed EXTENSIVE blood work not basic.
I guess they got tired of us because Judy called and said I was being too difficult and she said they are deleting us from their services. At the time we were very low income and so my options were few but I did manage to borrow money and get the right tests done. Turns out Dr Goodman got his cut from my insurance each desperate visit with no answers and never gave us the guidance that would have saved the quality of life for those years. But I guess he has bills to pay. We ended up getting a test called: The BREATH TEST. they cost about $ 750 but it was the test that saved us. Turns out my child had H Pylori and Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth. I am only writing this to help other families that are pushed aside to see what happened to us and hopefully you can be aware of what you need to do. The truth is you get what you pay for. These folks are on a general level pleasant however for any issues you need to seriously take out a loan and get good insurance and find a specialist for your child. You won’t get the quality care here nor compassion.

Dr. Goodman has been my daughters pediatrician since she was about 4 yrs old and she’s now 19 yrs old. His been the best doctor my daughter has had. My daughter was a premature baby and has gone through many doctors but Dr. Goodman was the one we stayed with because he was always available to see her, always treated us with much respect and did everything he could to keep my daughter healthy and happy. We couldn’t have asked for a better doctor. I wish we could keep him as a doctor forever.

I know I’ve said it before for my son but now that my daughter goes there too I have to say it again. He is hands down the most caring, attentive, patient, knowledgable doctor I have ever met. I often wish he could be my doctor since I find it so easy to talk to him! We love Dr Goodman and the whole office staff. Being a two mommy household we are often faced with people who don’t accept us or our children but that is never the case here we feel like part of the family!

My children love Dr. Goodman, this is really the best pediatric doctor around. I will not take my children to anyone else. He is wonderful doctor and person. His staff is the greatest. When my kids feel sick they ask if they can go see Dr. Goodman, how often do kids ask to go to the doctor … Well with this doctor office that’s what they do. He is the best.

Dr. Goodman is caring, conscientious doctor, the kind everyone wishes they could find. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

Dr. Goodman is the best pediatrician! He is an amazing doctor and a great person! My best memory of Dr. Goodman was when my daughter was 5 days old and her belly button scab fell off. It was 9:00 am on a Tuesday and I called the office. He picked up the line immediately because Marie said I sounded worried. As he got on the line I told him her belly button fell off what should I do? It wasn’t supposed to fall off for weeks. He laughed and told me that there was nothing wrong she was on her own schedule. I was a stressed out first time mom with crazy hormones and he put me at ease. I love Dr. Goodman, Judy and the entire office staff! Thank you for everything that you do!

Dr. Goodman please rationalize you can not do this we love you… You have treated my kids for the past 10 years. Every visit has been pleasant. Okay so some STUPID Idiots make negative comments. Who gives a fuck. Don’t let those few comments bother you. You are the best and don’t ever change. Please continue your practice…

Dr. Goodman has been our pediatrician for 11 years. Even after he moved from our area we make the drive to have him care for our children. His smile and caring have made my children comfortable and worry free when they «have to go» to the doctor. Thank you Dr. Goodman!

My son Tribue has been seeing Dr goodman for over a year now. Dr Goodman and all of his staff are warm welcoming and incredibly helpful. They are on top of paperwork and schedule and more importantly my son loves everyone in the office. Dr Goodman has a every special way with children. He connects with them and you can see it with every interaction .
Prime example of how they go out of their way for you .
My first visit to the office, newborn baby, scattered mommy locked my wallet, keys, phone and the diaper bag in the car. LOL
They let me use the phone to call AAA, gave me diapers and a quiet spot to breast feed the hungry baby :)
I have recommended this office to every pregnant woman i know and will continue too !!!

I have been taking my children to Dr. Goodman for 8 years now, both of which have a couple of chronic health issues, so I am in his office quite often. If it weren’t for Dr. Goodman, I am not certain my children would have been correctly diagnosed as quickly and/​or received the treatment they needed as efficiently and with such genuine care. As a mother, it can be scary when your children are not healthy, whether it is a chronic health issue or a common cold but Dr. Goodman has always put my mind at ease with his attentiveness and kindness as well as the quality of care he provides. With Dr. Goodman, I know my children are always receiving the best care there is and I just don’t know what we would do without him. Also, kudos to his office staff for always getting us in for same day appointments when my children are ill and just a few days wait for routine care!
Since I am being honest here, I feel compelled to mention that the office manager (I think her name is Maria?) does seem quite unhappy to be there and is unpleasant towards me every time I am there. She is not «mean» per se, but definitly not very nice, or courteous. I only need to see her to sign-​in and get parking validated so I have and will continue to take my children there, but I just thought it should be mentioned since my above review about DR. GOODMAN is 100% genuine. Lastly, Judy is AMAZING. She gets referrals and authorizations for my kids done quickly, efficiently and is always so friendly! I love her!

Dr. Goodman is the best pediatrician around. He has cared for my 3 daughters since birth. He has been there for us with everything. If I have questions or concerns about anything, even after hours, he gets back to me right away.
Dr Goodman even makes the appointments fun. My kids love going to see him because he always makes them laugh during the visits.
Dr. Goodman is a gem among doctors and people in general. He is kind, compassionate, and above all a fantastic doctor.
We have doctors closer to our home, but we have chosen to stay with Dr Goodman and his amazing office staff.
Our family cannot thank you enough.

My children (my 7 year old daughter and almost 4 year old twin boy and girl) have been seen by Dr. Goodman from the day they were born. I feel truly blessed to have him in my children’s lives. Any concern I have had has been a concern for him, too. I have complete confidence in anything and everything he tells me. He is not only knowledgeable but passionate about his job. I can call him at 3:00am to ask what to do about a cough and he will call me back. No matter what my children are experiencing, he calls me back! HE IS THE BEST DOCTOR, period! There has never been nor will there ever be another Pediatrician like Dr. Goodman.
My son was born with a slanted head and his ears weren’t leveled. Dr. Goodman and Judy (the lovely woman who does everything for everybody in the office) called my insurance everyday trying to get an authorization for a helmet and their perseverance paid off. We got the helmet and now his head and ears are perfect. They understood my pain and worked harder than me to make sure my son got what he needed. This is just among the many, many things that Dr. Goodman has done for me and my children. I have recommended him to all of my friends and family and they feel the same way I do.
Whenever someone asks who my pediatrician is, with confidence and pride I respond, Dr. Charles Goodman. I hope that he practices medicine for another hundred years so that my grand kids and great grand kids will be seen by him. There hasn’t been one question or concern that I have had that he didn’t have the answer to.
Thank you Dr. Goodman for being in ours and our children’s lives! You are irreplaceable!

Dr. Goodman is a great pediatrician and a sweet man. He has been the doctor for our children for three years now. My kids love him!
My son has asthma, which was very scary to find out. Dr. Goodman has been there for every question we had and even questions we didn’t know we had. Thank you so much for your support!

I am so pleased with Dr Goodman. He has been our Dr. For the past 12yrs. The kids are always happy to come to the dr. How many people can say that! Dr goodman not only is a good doctor he also is a caring man. He always is happy to see us and never seems to be in a hurry. It is so important for us to have all our questions answered. If you are looking for an experienced, concerned and genuine doctor I would highly recommend!!!

You clearly still do not understand the PROBLEM. YOU DID NOT GIVE ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO FIND OUT WHAT THE ISSUE WAS AND RECTIFY IT!

YOU did take the liberty to CANCEL the appointment. If you like I can upload the voicemail you left me. Again, I told you my son has insurance. Why would I opt to cancel the appointment KNOWING he has insurance? Especially after waiting so long for this appointment? You deliberately cancelled his appointment because I called you out on your rudeness and because I hung up on you, which I’m sure hurt your pride. Very professional.
I DID NOT WANT THAT APPOINTMENT CANCELLED. I DID NOT ASK TO CANCEL THAT APPOINTMENT. I was left a message stating the appointment was cancelled because he didn’t have insurance. Which is BULL because my SON HAS INSURANCE! Which is it Maria? Was it cancelled because I opted to have it cancelled or was it because he «had no insurance»? Again, make up your mind.
Had you been professional or given me the TIME to correct the issue and FIND OUT what happened NONE of this would have happened. But you decided to break the office rules and cancel the appointment at YOUR discretion!!!
