3 stars is generous for this place, the food is bomb, but they never get my order right. It is super frustrating and returning back is a super headache because of the lack of customer service.

Not sure if it’s just this location, or others because I only go to this one, but the eggs just ruin the whole breakfast burrito. I been coming here for years and the quality on the eggs has gone down. They taste as if they have been cooked and sitting in a fridge overnight to be used for the next day, or as if they were way overcooked because they taste like rubber and most of the time they look like green eggs. The other food seems to be good, occasionally have a few chicken bones in the chicken burritos but I guess that happens. Staff could use better attitudes, specifically the females who work there. They seem displeased to have to take your order. Never had a problem with the male staff. I really liked going to this place, but the egg quality just ruins the whole breakfast burrito. Unless it’s fixed, I can’t be taking a gamble with this place anymore.

OK I forgot about my review I made on jan 28th about santiagos. I ordered thru the drive thru and they messed it up at least 3 times. When I got home I realized the order was still messed up. Plus the food tasted NASTY. There was pork in the green chile that was like rubber. I ordered half and half and it was totally hot not half and half. I felt sick once again after eating there, NEVERAGAIN will I eat at any santiagos! When I called for the manager they said he will call me back. He never called. I ended up calling him back and he said he would check into it,(He sounded like he was put off) He never called back. I am writing this review mostly because of bad service and a very bad manager. The bad food only comes second to that. Please if you don’t want to get ripped off don’t go to santiagos.

If I could give NO stars I would. I have only eaten here once and never will again. I have never had food poisoning in my life, until I ate at this establishment. I had lunch with 3 of my family members and all but 1 felt ill before the end of the day after eating here. I started to feel sick within 1 hour of eating at this location, and it was my first meal of the day so I’m positive the food poisoning came from this establishment. In addition to that, I’m not sure how they even remain in business? They have no full conventional oven, they keep their food warm using hot plates and a microwave… This place had really horrible customer service. Myself along with my family all got in line and ordered our food, but the cashier didn’t ask whether we wanted beef, chicken, or pork she just said«ok tacos» but never specified what type of tacos. I quested her as to what exactly she was preparing and she informed me the restaurant was OUTOFBEEF. I would think she would have prefaced the conversation with letting us know they had no beef. Once our food was ready, we had to walk up to the front and get it ourselves(no one brought it to us even though some customers were being waited on), the cheese was just shredded, unmelted cheese sprinkled on top of the tostadas and tacos, and we realized there were no dressings like lettuce, tomatoes, etc. I went up to request them and was informed they were OUTOFLETTUCE, TOMATOES, and ONIONS. Is this a joke? About halfway through our family lunch a old, beat up brown mini van pulls up to the front door of the restaurant and men start unloading huge contains of food(the beef, lettuce, tomatoes, etc obviously). I couldn’t believe my eyes! Was this food even transported on ice or in a warmer? How is it kept at appropriate temperatures? No wonder I left with food poisoning. Needless to say, I have reported this place to the health department.

Best green chile! And I love that you can walk in at 7am and watch them make the breakfast burritos right in front of you, no messy kitchen and very clean :-) that was fantastic, they are friendly and I go every Thursday, there’s always a long line YUM!

Best breakfast burritos and green chili in Colorado. Great prices, service and more. My favorite place when home in Colorado.

Out of all the santiagos this is the worst. It seems like this place doesn’t serve breakfast burritos every time I go in they«run out» even if you show up two hours before 11. And don’t you dare ask them for a burrito with eggs and potatoes because somehow someway they always run out. Honestly I think they’re lazy people working there that don’t want to do they’re job

slowwwwwww service. We were the only one’s in the drive thru and no one was inside and it still took 30 minutes to get 3 entrees. When we got home the relleno plate only had 1 relleno when it was supposed to have 2, the enchiladas were blah and the taco had stringy meat reminents in it… ugh. We have gone to this location over a dozen times in the last couple of years. Last time they changed my tip to $ 4 from $ 3 when my meal was only $ 7. It may have something to do with having only teenagers there and no adults. Heating your food in a microwave is bad enough, please don’t rip your customers off.

Good place for breakfast if you can time your visit right so as not to deal with the crowd.

I normally have a great and quick service at this location. And I absolutely love that it’s closer to my home than the other location on 104th. But yesterday I had the worst experience. I had a hinkering for some breakfast burritos and decided to order a substantial amount of them. But their sign doesn’t have a «breakfast ends at» so I proceeded to order. They informed me that they aren’t making anymore. In a very rude way. Like I said, no sign was placed so how would I have known? Nonetheless I came up with some quick improvising and had a new order picked out. As I placed my order she made me repeat it about 3 times per item and after me yelling through the intercom, she said«actually I can’t hear you, come up to the window.» Once again in a very rude tone. Not only did I have to wait in a drive through for about 15 minutes, I would have to order and wait even longer. I was not about to waste more time with a lady that didn’t give two bolognas. So I left. I normally do not have bad reviews for here but yesterday(Sunday) was not their best. I recommend going on a weekday. And apparently guess when breakfast ends.

I don’t really understand the popularity here. Their breakfast burritos are just ok, they used to do it way better. I used to frequent the one in Longmont back in the day when they would have a different flavor every day, my favorite was the bacon, of course. Now that they have grown they have definitely gone down hill. The service at all the locations, I’ve been to, leaves a ton to be desired. The burritos have this mushy consistency that invokes my gag reflexes. The green chile is very bland. The fact they are fairly cheap saves it from a one star. If they raise prices, a cent, my rating would then be one star.

Delicious breakfast burritos. Some of the best I’ve ever had. Their bean and cheese, beef and cheese and carnitas were awesome as well. Line at the drive thru can sometimes be long during peak breakfast and lunch hours. Service is not unfriendly but strictly no nonsense business.

So, here is the deal with Santiago’s… Every location is different and has different standards. They all use the same chili, which I love. They are famous for their breakfast burritos, which is a primary staple of my diet. Here is my review of this location only: Eggs: Cooked way too quickly thus they turn GREEN and are very rubbery! Potatoes: Not good, mushy. Other locations get them nice and crispy. Tortilla: Standard, sometimes soggy. Meat: OK, only one selection per day. Chili: Great! Hard to mess up reheating chili from a central location. Cheese: Meh Service: Pretty unfriendly. Snobby little teens with attitude. Owner(?) manager seems nice enough. With a little effort, they could do much better, but why bother? They are always crowded so I doubt there will be any changes any time soon. Personally, I’ll opt for any of the multitude of places that serve breakfast burritos within a few miles. I can get the green chili at the grocery store if I have a jones for the heat.

I hate this location. It’s a joke that they can call anything in this building Express. The food is good… if you can get it. This is the third time I’ve baled on the drive thru. If you see more than 2 cars you can expect a 20 min wait… at least. Going inside? Not any better. It would help if they had more than one guy making food. I’m done with this place.

Hit or miss… every time. Never consistently good and the customer service is poor! The drive thru wait is ridiculous! I waited 25 + minutes for two breakfast burritos and a coffee. They forgot my coffee and there was no way I was going back for it. Avoiding this place from now on.

Good food. Clean. Not the friendliest staff but they get the job done. Love the handheld breakfast burritos and they are only $ 2 each

I finally got a chance to check this Santiago’s location out, as a couple of previous visits indicated they close at 6 pm. I went with the Bean Indian Taco and the Chicken/Rice/Chile Burrito. Everything was great, and it’s always good seeing that there’s still a few places out there that truly know the meaning of the word«HOT» when it comes to Mexican cuisine. Looks like they’ve won several awards for their breakfast burritos as well. Definitely recommend.

I’m updating my review now that it’s only a Santiago’s Express, and no longer a coffee shop. The service was friendlier this time. The food has taken a toll. I got two cheese enchiladas with a red sauce. It wasn’t all that great and the cheese wasn’t even close to melted. Definitely not what I remember from a few years ago. And why is it still an ‘express’ if they now have the entire building to work with?
