This place is very popular! The food isn’t bad, but it’s not amazing either. The bread is however super slamming and I’d buy stock in that. Otherwise, it is good food.

The ambience of the restaurant is very pleasant-quiet music, dim lights, fish tanks. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted and seated. The server brought is water and delicious bread. We ordered. Prices are a bit higher than I remember. For how few people who were eating here at this moment, food took a looooonf time. My burger was ok, fries were amazing. My kids flat bread pizza was mediocre at best. I feel we overpaid for the quality of th me food.($ 2.49 for one cup of coffee?!) I would come back for a date, not dinner with the kids. Staff is super nice-really want to emphasize that.

I have had the Philadelphia steak salad previously and today a bacon bleu cheese burger. The salad was delicious and the steak cooked perfectly and very tender, however most of the salad was just iceberg lettuce. Fries were not crispy, but they were good. Very expensive for a bowl of iceberg lettuce though. Today I had the bacon bleu cheeseburger which was cooked perfectly as well, med-rare but the portion of fries that comes with it was ridiculous. I mean, is there a potato famine that I am unaware of? The blue cheese on the bleu cheese burger was sparse to say the least. For a $ 13.00 dollar lunch I expected just a little more. Not terrible, but could be better.

I came in for a drink last week and immediately left when I got a free order of vermin on the way to the bathroom.

Just got back from Pane’s and my, things have changed. This used to be one of our go-to places over the years but it’s become, well, a little more like The Grapevine. The menu is becoming more generic, like something you’d find at an old Benegan’s. Something for everyone but none of it really that great. The restaurant has been remodeled and it appears the prices have gone up to pay for it. My wife ordered what was described as eggplant parmesan and looked nothing like their eggplant prior to the remodeling. Deep fried slabs of stale eggplant layered onto each other with no sauce or cheese between each layer, just a melted slice of mozzarella on top. Waitress seemed confused as to what this simple dish should look like when properly executed. She asked if she wanted some sauce on the side and that most people didn’t ask often for anything more. But it’s hard to believe anyone wouldn’t need any lubrication considering how dry it was. I ordered the pot roast dish with mashed potatoes and it was underwhelming as well. Meat cubes were tender enough but I suspect that the gravy was from a jar. Dish bordered on cafeteria quality. No vegetable, either? Expected more for $ 15+. There must be something in the air in N.T. because the newly expanded Dockside Bar and Grill has become worse following it’s «improvement» as well. My advice is that you shouldn’t upgrade your restaurant at the expense of the quality of your menu. To paraphrase Shakespeare, the food is, after all, the thing.

On a whim my bf and I decided to go to this restaurant for lunch. Never having been there but seeing the commercials on tv, we thought«why not?» When we entered the building you walk right into the dining area. It appeared we were more in the way of the dining staff who were waiting on tables and patrons that were leaving. We weren’t sure if there was a hostess station or «seat yourself» motif because nothing indicated it as such. Out of nowhere a hostess appeared and sat us at a table by the fish tank. Our waitress took our drink order and soon disappeared. Upon her returning she took our order and was gone in a flash. Looking around the dining area it wasn’t too crowded with folks but the table placements in the room seemed crammed. Our table was very close to another customers and they looked uncomfortable being so close to us. I could go but bottom line, the food was meh and the staff/service could have been better.

Not a fan of their food. They are close-by, however, if we go there once a year, that is a lot. We’ve had some bad dishes here before from raw steak in a steak sub, dry, overcooked chicken, and burned sauce. Count us out.

It’s all-in-all great service and food, but why is the owner/manager always screaming at his staff? I even witnessed him do it to his wife! I’ve been there so many times but I can’t take that kind of behavior, it takes away from the ambiance.

Panes is one of those places that just never seems to go away. It’s been there since I was a kid — my Grandmother has ordered wings and pizzas from Panes as long as I can remember. Mom and I stopped in for dinner the other night for wings. We shared the neopolitan pizza appetizer and an order of wings(mild for her, medium sauce on the side for me). We both loved the wings; I felt like the pizza could have more cheese on it. Our waitress was an absolute doll; super friendly and attentive. Why only ***? I think I like Panes better as a take-out option. Their wings are on point; pizza is as well. There’s just something about dining in that depresses me(lol). I don’t know if it’s because it’s so old and I feel like a moldy oldy eating there, or what. Definitely recommend Panes for take-out and will do so in the near future!

So happy to say that they are remodeling the inside. I couldn’t be happier because I love the food here.

We just ate at Panes and it was wonderful! Great service, food and atmosphere. We loved the variety of the menu. We had a table of 8 and we all ordered something different. From fish, to chicken fingers to pasta and sauce. All the soups were great. We did fill up on bread they keep replenishing it. Totally will come back, absolutely no complaints at all

Pane’s is a spacious and nicely appointed restaurant with a mostly Italian menu. As a vegetarian, however, I was sad to learn that their sauce contains meat – so there was almost nothing on the menu I could eat. I ended up ordering a cheese pizza … which was accidentally prepared with pepperoni. This had to be sent back, so my husband ended up eating his entrée alone.(They offered to remake his meal for service when the second pizza was ready, but that just seemed terribly wasteful.) The manager also offered me a free soup while we waited for the pizza re-do – but, again, nothing vegetarian was available. They did end up taking the pizza off the check, which we appreciated. All those menu and service issues aside, the pizza was tasty and my husband liked his pasta meal well enough that I wouldn’t rule out a return visit if we were in the neighborhood – except for the lack of good vegetarian options. For me, that’s a deal-breaker.

Sub standard Italian American food. Two stars because I was so hungry after the 35 min. Take out wait, I had to eat the burnt sauce. Stuffed eggplant, crap. Sauce, burnt. Not impressed one bit. $ 35 two dinners.

Very average restaurant. I would suggest spending your money elsewhere though to be completely honest. This place just is not special. The décor is outdated and the booths are made for 5 year olds. Our food was average and nothing stood out. The salad was okay and the bread was good. Decently priced place but honestly will spend my money somewhere of better quality next time.

My family and I have gone here twice on Christmas Eve to celebrate my mom’s birthday. My brother has had no problem getting a reservation and we have been seated promptly. Truthfully, everything is pretty standard American-Italian food. Last night I got a broiled Haddock with mashed potatoes that wasn’t really outstanding, but filled my tummy. My mom got the Italian Combination with tortellini, chicken parmesan, and lasagna. I took a bite of her chicken parm and it was nice and crispy. I would definitely order that the next time around. My disappointment comes from the lack of vegetables. I tried to substitute pasta with a salad and was told I couldn’t. Everything comes with pasta, which is great if you love pasta, but I have a gluten allergy, so I had to base my meal decision on that. I got a regular house salad with my meal which came with big chunks of iceberg lettuce – yuck. I can definitely see why Pane’s would be a big hit for other people-it’s comfortable(aside from the teeeeny booths!), standard food, and the prices were super reasonable for the amount of food you get.

My parents an my niece went here last weekend. We sat in a booth and it was very tight. Far too many things on the table and very frustrating. If you go with more than two people, request a table. Otherwise, the food was good. The homemade Italian dressing was very good.

If this place ever expands, it will be called«Growing Pane’s». If it ever goes through a bad period financially, it will be called«Period Pane’s.» If it keeps giving people food poisoning, it will of course be called«Tummy Pane’s». But for now, it’s merely«Pane’s.» Not to be confused with Pano’s, in fact, I like it better than Pano’s. There, I said it. North Tonawanda actually has a much better dining scene than North Korea. I don’t know this for sure since I have never been to North Korea, so I’m going to have to take that back. But some of the gems in this area include Roman Café. And more. I quite like Pane’s restaurant, it’s sweet and offers some good Italian dishes. Did I like it as much as Roman Café? Not really. Is it worth trying? Definitely, especially if you live in this area. You might love it and become addicted to it and end up practically living in the place. It’s got a similar menu to Roman Café with similar prices. It’s slightly more«restauranty» and darker inside, and I will have to give it another try soon. I had the chicken parm(as usual) and it was good. It Pane’s me to say this, but I can’t really remember exactly what it was like because it was probably a year ago(at least), but I’ll give it another try soon.

My wife and I were looking for a comfortable place to sit down and have a simple meal. We were seated immediately, the dining room was only about half-full, it is a typical small restaurant with tables and booths. But it was quite comfortable. Our waitress was fine she answered all the questions that we had, was quite willing to accommodate us in anyway that she could, and made us feel quite welcome. Our food was quite good really no complaints but on the other hand no stars either. My wife had the ham and turkey club I had the fried chicken dinner they were typical sandwiches and small dinners take a look at the photos I included one of each. Restaurant was quite nice it has a definite Italian flavor to it in both décor and food, and the prices were quite reasonable. Would I recommend the restaurant to friends, certainly. Would I go back, certainly.
