Beautiful ambience — we celebrated Mother’s Day. The sushi is some of the best around… that’s our favorite. The service is always on target — some of their chicken dishes are somewhat blah… kinda chewy. They have some tasty appetizers.

Was there today. Great food, great service. Always the best at all of their restaurants. Keep up the good work.

This wasn’t my first trip to a Jackie’s galaxy but it was my first to this location. Parking was great. Easily found a spot on a sunny warm Sunday afternoon. We entered this location and immediately we noticed the running water flow decoration which ran under the entrance way. The interior is fresh and modern. We were seated quickly and greeted by our awesome server Jennifer. She was attentive and quick. The plate warmers were turned up that day and the girl was a trooper with those scorching hot plates. We had a volcano roll and a dragon roll with Rangoon appetizer. Great service and great food. I recommend this restaurant chain to everyone. Always a good experience. The only problem is the dueling music. Two different songs playing over each other wasn’t the best move. Consistent background music thru out the restaurant would be my only change. This place is great. Visit soon and visit often.

I have to say, I much prefer this one over the one in Waterplace. I’ve been to both, and received much better service and food at the Mineral Spring location. Went for some quick sushi and cocktails with my friends. Highly recommend Mr. Lonely, Mr. Mango, and Sweeheart roll. Our martinis were stong, but nothing to die for. My friend asked for a key lime martini, which is a pretty common martini, and they had to check how to make it. She said it came out tasting more of coconut than lime, but it wasn’t awful. My other friend ordered the pomegranate martini and also stated it was less than stellar. I had the lemon drop martini, however, and it was perfect to me. I guess next time we will just keep trying until we find better ones. Overall, was a good time for a quick girls night out without dealing with the crowds of the downtown providence location.

I went twice, once for sushi and once for a hot meal. As far as a sushi place goes I was pleased with it and would go back for that. When I went the second time I ordered off the 20.00 menu. Had the nim chow which was good. The duck selection and vegetable lo mein was terrible. Dessert was cheesecake also lousy. The food I took home was thrown away. All in all, I’ll be back for the sushi bar but will steer clear of the $ 20 menu.

Last night(Tuesday) was our first time eating here since moving to North Providence, and I have to say I was highly disappointed. I do want to say that the food was amazing but the problem that we had was firstly, we ordered a $ 50 bottle of wine that was supposed to be chilled, and it was warm. Our server never came to refill our glasses and when he finally did at the end of our meals, he obviously found the bottle empty as I had poured it myself. We went at 5:30 because we have two young children and didn’t leave there until almost 7:30 due to the slow slow service. Now those of you who eat sushi know how quickly you can eat and be out of a restaurant, so 2 hours is a bit silly. people that entered the restaurant after us had their meal and left before we even were served our appetizer! Not once did our server apologize for the slow service or even try to make an excuse as to what was taking so long, instead he just ignored us and continued on to his other customers. We had a table full of dirty plates our entire time there and the menus were still left on our table as well! I really enjoy the food at Jackies and I will give it another try but hopefully things go a lot smoother than they did last night :-(

It’s a shame that such a beautiful restaurant has such terrible, barely edible food. Had dinner there last week and ordered off the $ 20 dinner menu. They had a very nice selection. Nime chow appetizer — tasteless — as lettuce — not basil or mint was used. Grilled teriyaki chicken breast. The weirdest chicken I ever saw. Texture like rubber. I could not eat it and sent it back(something I rarely do). Later, I think I figured out what they had done — the chicken was boiled(probably earlier in the day) then thrown on the grill to have«grill marks», but even that didn’t make sense — it was truly the weirdest chicken. It came served on what looked to be an entire sauteed onion, the sauce wasn’t even that good, and the broccoli and asparagus with it were barely cooked. I’ve gone there 3 times now since they opened at this location and this is the 2nd time I got lousy food. You’d be better off buying a frozen Asian dinner and cooking for yourself at home. I will not go back there.

This was the worst restaurant I have been to, since returning to Rhode Island. We got the soup course and the hot and spicy soup had a hard plastic disk with sharp edges in it! We notified the manager who did absolutely nothing but offer more soup. The lack of respect for the customer and the fact that the restaurant was empty on a Friday at lunchtime just shows that no one wants to go there. The other restaurants under the Jackie’s name may be better, but I will definitely not return to this one. Nor will I recommend it to anyone else.

This gets a 5 Star rating because it hits all my expectations of a restaurant. When you enter this establishment it has a nice walkway leading up to the entrance, one with stairs the other along side is a ramp for wheelchair accommodations. Super great water feature when you enter and the entrance door has a glass tiled floor with fish floating under it. This place is loaded with top shelf features such as an outstanding sushi bar with perhaps the best sushi presentation and quality around. Glass wall petitions all around with breath taking chandeliers. The bar is perfect and inviting with a large screen tv. Wine selection is over the top. The wine room is a square glass room with glass shelves to hold the wine and atmospherically controlled. They have a glass enclosed room with a very large round table for a meeting or special gathering. Dining area is large and very attractive on all levels. Also they have function rooms with a private bar as well. Every detail was carefully thought out to perfection for the style of Asian restaurant that it is. Cocktails and Martinis are SPOTON! Food is plentiful on your dish, well plated and delicious. Prices are moderate, but the experience is HIGHEND! Restrooms very clean, plenty of supplies and such to meet the needs of guests. Makes for a special date night or business meeting to impress your customers. When I go to a restaurant this is an example of what I look for when dishing out 5 Star ratings. Don’t pass this experience up. Note: There are two Jackie’s Galaxy restaurants on Mineral Spring Avenue with the same owner. This is the new LARGE one with the digital Marque flashing. The other restaurant is down scaled and takes To-Go orders as well.

Gone here for years!!! The place is so reasonable and always busy. They have a great function room upstairs for weddings or any special occasion. A friend had a fundraiser for her son her passed away and Jackies took care of all the food! Your always greeted when you walk in. They are so kind when you go in. The sushi is my favorite and there wonton soup is my husbands favorite .! Parking is easy. It’s a great big area. Easy access to Metacom Ave.

Ok, this review is for the old Jackies before the remodel — I hope they didn’t remodel the food. I have been looking for Jackies for years, since leaving RI15 years ago. I have been eating Thai in different places in California for years and man oh man, I still miss Jackies. Every time I visit we eat there at least twice and I gorge on tons of food. The food is not expensive, with plenty of freshness and taste. I have never had the sushi or non-thai items. Just stick to the Thai basics at Jackies and you won’t go wrong. Oh Jackies, I miss you.

I came here with a friend for lunch for the first time this past Saturday with no expectations and wow! I was blown away at the décor, what a beautiful and unique addition to a bland area. For lunch I had Nime Chow and chicken pad Thai. Both were far better then most other places I’ve had these dishes. Not only were the portions large, but everything tasted very fresh. I would definitely come back for dinner. This also looks like a great date spot and/or function venue.

Beautiful ambience, very good food, good service. Overhead music is rock and a bit loud, but I like loud rock music.

Good sushi, but not great drinks or desert. I have been a couple times. It is a good spot for a date for sushi on a nice night(I would recommend outdoor seating on the deck — but indoors and the bar works as well), but I would go elsewhere for drinks and desert. The banana tempura desert was in chocolate syrup, and the flavored cocktails tasted like they came straight from fruit syrup as well. Both were a little pricey for that. Try it, but there are other places.

Went with my wife for lunch on Thursday 5÷6÷14. The décor in this place is amazing for a resturant in North Providence. From the colors to the textures. However our food was a bit overpriced and we both experienced some rumbling in our stomach??? Manager can contact me for details.

Went here for a work function and was actually IMPRESSED with the food. Great for large groups, great deals during the week(3 courses for $ 20!). Sushi was good, chinese dishes good, drinks abound. Great wine selection, fast service, easy parking. Inside is designed similar to downtown location. May return!

The food was just OK for the price. Very small portions and very expensive for mediocre Americanized Asian cuisine. You’re paying more for the upscale ambiance. I ordered a $ 14 Cantonese Noodle dish, «wet style“‘. Which at most other Asian restaurants will run you between $ 8-$ 10. The portion was about half of what you would get at the old Jackie’s Galaxy across the street or my other staples Apsara Palace on Public Street or 4 Seasons off of Reservoir Ave. It was about half as good too. Not enough gravy, meat, or flavor. The noodles also had a sour, not too fresh taste to it. I also ordered two sushi rolls which were moderately priced for sushi(~$ 10-$ 12) but once again the portions were smaller than I expected. It was the Spider Crab roll and the Fire Cracker roll. I must say though they were some of the better sushi rolls I’ve had at a fusion restaurant like this though. As someone that frequents South East Asian influenced restaurants a lot this was a let down for me. Just like the location in downtown Waterplace, I would say it caters more to an «American» audience than it would natives of South East Asia looking for familiar comfort food. Overpriced and mediocre Asian food but then again some people don’t mind paying extra for the better service and the ambiance.

Lunch menu review: good way to enjoy the new, very upscale location. Lunch menu has the usual offerings that are similar prices to the«old» location across the street. You certainly get less proteins as other reviewers pointed out. Don’t think I’ll be visiting for dinner based on other reviews but maybe for drinks and apps. It’s the same menu as the water place location which doesn’t appeal to us — very Americanized Asian cuisine

Absolutely gorgeous! They spent some money building this place, unfortunately their prices reflect this. Ordered a steak meal for $ 25 and got maybe 4 –5 cubes of steak, huge pile of rice, and steamed broccoli. The food was delicious, but didn’t justify the price in my opinion. I think a little more quantity or a few dollars less and I’d be happy. Completely different menu than the old Jackie’s across the street.(I wish both locations had chicken with lemongrass, it’s my favorite) I’d definitely go back just to look at this place it’s so nice inside! Host and waiter VERY nice. I find the wait staff at the old location kind of rude and no personality.
