I have been coming to this little hole in the wall for some time now. What brings me back is the specials they usually have. I love that their tacos have hand made tortillas made to order. I usually get a standard carne asada burrito or a BRC with free added avocado and lately the Tostada special for $ 3.99. The taco special is 4 tacos and a soda for $ 5. Good selection of meat choices. The guacamole salsa is on point, tasty and mild. They usually have two choices of agua fresca, and standard coke brand selection of sodas. They do charge you 50 cents for refills, so make sure you get the large drink if you’re a heavy drinker. Parking is almost always available. They are open late on the weekends, and they take credit cards without charging you a fee or a minimum. This is an observation and in no way affected the rating for them. There is a lot of foot traffic, in front of the place and a lot of loitering as it’s near a liquor store. Be prepared for some one to ask for change.

Food has always been great here. People are friendly. Really good Mexican food. I usually just get to go. For a while they had a mango juice with mango chunks, haven’t seen it in a while. They have really good fresh waters.

Thus place is ok for a quick pick me up. They have some good tacos and they are open till midnight I believe which is nice. Their bathroom is disgusting though, I’m always afraid to sit there and there have been a few times where they have not had any toilet paper in stock or any soap for that matter. Yuck. I will say this though their customer service is amazing and the employees are very friend. I’ll be back every now and then but I will definitely remember t use the bathroom elsewhere

Not a place id come to again. Restroom was discusting. How do i expect to have a clean meal from a place that the cook uses the same dirty restroom as the customer.

A coworker of mine raved about the Daniel’s Tacos location on Vineland. He claimed they were the best tacos in the valley. So when I moved close to the location in North Hills I had to try them. Daniel’s is located on Parthenia & Columbus by a liquor store and laundromat. It looks like a nice place from the outside. There is only one bathroom and it’s not the cleanest. The time I visited there was a fly buzzing by the register. I ordered anyway. I had 6 tacos and a medium horchata and my total was about $ 9. The cashier was very nice and the girl who served my food was very nice as well. I didn’t wait very long even though the food was cooked fresh. I even watched them make the tortillas. The tacos were decent. Not the best as my friend raved but ok. The fresh tortillas definitely add to the taco experience. There is also fresh pico de gallo, onions, cilantro, radishes, red and green salsa. Honestly the place wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. I used to live near King Taco years ago and I remember those tasting much better. My son likes Daniel’s but if I was in the mood for tacos I would probably just go to El Gallo Giro down the street.

It’s become a ritual every time I visit my best friend in Panorama City on the weekends, I have to stop by Daniels for some menudo! They have the best one I’ve had in California so far! The tacos aren’t too shabby either, hand formed tortillas cooked on the spot and the meat is definitely up there with the taco food trucks you find throughout the city! Definitely a great find for me!

I’ve been to this location quite a couple if times and I have to say that this is better then their location at sun valley. The staff is usually really friendly and always do small talk with me while I wait for my food to be done. I have ordered tacos de lengua and cabeza and they are the bomb! Their tortas are a bit on the smaller size compared to the ones I’m used to but still good taste. I can’t wait to try their menudo since I’m over doing it on the tacos. Lol. The champurrado is by far the best I’ve ever had and I love how they give me extra milk on the side to pour on my champurrado in case it’s to hot for me(I’m very sensitive to heat). I love how understanding they are to my specific needs and they always make me feel right at home. My only complaint is that their food is usually overly greasy, other than that everything is great. I would go at night the staff is ironically a lot more jolly.

After finding out their breakfast burrito is actually decent and paired up with their spicy green salsa, it’s become a go-to place for me to grab a quick breakfast burrito when I’m craving one and everything else is closed. The service remains relatively solid(even though they do occasionally mess up the order) but the rest of the food here ranges from sub-par to bland not to mention, the puny portion sizes. That said, even the breakfast burrito is still just OK. The place remains meh.

I am horrified. They put a screw in my beans. They did it on purpose because they are racist. They didn’t even apologize. Disgusting, dirty place.

I absolutely adore the food here, this is my usual go to spot for a lazy dinner. The tacos, burritos and quesadillas are great. The staff is friendly and helpful however most of the time they only speak Spanish. I understand that in this part of the city most of the customer speak Spanish. However they get my order wrong 9⁄10 times to the point where I have to make myself look like a jackass. I’ve planned to keep a receipt for my orders because I usually order the same thing all the time, but everytime it’s been wrong so I can never have a reference. I stress the fact that I hate beans, yet most of the time there are beans. I ask for onions and cilantro; I only get cilantro. I’ve had to put onions on myself because I’m tired of making myself look like a dick. I have prepared my own solution by packing extra things just in case it’s wrong. When I go out to my car and double check, I fix it. Again the food and staff is good but the consistency and language barrier is lacking.

The place provides cheap food and the quality is reflective of such. The beans are meh and the rice is bland and dry. This place is supposed to do good tacos but the meat is flavorless and greasy which is far from good tacos. I have a good stomach and well developed palate for Mexican and Mexican-American flavors but the greasiness kills any flavor developed and cuts through your gut like bad milk. *this review is based on both objective and subjective observations visit the establishment for your own experience.

I really like this place. The tortillas are made to your order, the food is excellent and fresh, the people are friendly, and you can’t get any better for the prices.

*Copy of my review of their Sun Valley location* I visit the truck by Superior market in NoHo and I also visit the motherland main location in North Hills. I want to start off by saying that I am a Mexican that has grown up eating very traditional Mexican dishes, cooked by a mother from Guadalajara, Mexico. Prior to eating at Daniel’s I’ve never found a place that has lengua tacos that can compare to my mom’s. Without ever admitting this to my mother, I must say, Daniel’s has her beat! The lengua is the best Ive ever had. VERY tender and flavorful without the usual fat and grizzle. Their AL Pastor is equally delicious! Like people say here, Asada is hit or miss. The fruit beverages are amazing good, Pineapple is my fav! Oh and did I mention that its cheaper than eating at Mickey Dees??? Daniel’s FTW!!!
