Came here for the WKDD Kidz Day event this weekend, and was really impressed with this park. It’s enormous and very well maintained. Definitely worth the trip to come back for the park itself.

This is a great park. They have a huge playground, a 9 hole disc golf course, a sand volleyball pit, soccer fields, ponds for fishing, a large open area, basketball and tennis courts, and it’s adjacent to a wildlife park. Also there are a lot of great geocaching caches you can look for. All in all this is one of the best parks around with a lot to offer

Excellent playground where the kids can run and just enjoy pleasant weather. The jungle gym set up is fantastic. Restrooms are clean and plentiful. Good location not far from interesting sites. Picnic areas. It’s really set up well. Two main exits with fenced in play area… so the kids can have some freedom to roam. Tennis courts, basketball, and a pond with fishing. What more can you ask for? Two thumbs up!

Probably the best park in the area. There is so much space and open area. They have nearly any activity you can think of and a really nice running track that goes in the woods with many path options. The kids area is vast and they have two play areas for them. There are fountains, flowers and overall a really nice park for just about anyone. They so have soccer for young kids, so sometimes when they have several sport events it can get a bit crowded. But I have been there many times and I think that’s only happened once or twice. It’s a little out of the way, but well worth it!

Awesome park for kids and adults. Tennis, sand volleyball, basketball, soccer fields, walking track, pavilions, and a pond stocked full of fish out front for the kids. And with Southgate park in the back you get hiking, fishing, bird watching, a walking track, and disc golf. There really is something for everyone here. The only thing that would be nicer is if the play set only had one entrance instead of two. It’d make it easier to keep track of the kids. On the topic of Southgate Park, the hiking trails aren’t really marked well so make sure you take a picture of the trial map on the trail entrance at the end of the parking lot! The main trail isn’t difficult to navigate but there are a TON of side trails cut into the woods that could easily get you lost. A compass is a MUST if you’re not familiar with the park. But there are some great bird watching and wildlife observation opportunities if you take your time and move quietly.
