Honestly, the experience was so underwhelming, I nearly forgot I came here. A couple friends and I met up for HH at Pike&Rose not really knowing the area. A friend who got there first decided on this place because of the HH food and drinks. I don’t understand this new trend where Host and Hostesses are rude. I have seen it at multiple places now and you are starting with that negative experience. No matter what happens, you’ll remember, even if the rest of your experience was absolutely stellar. Service is also minimal to bad. Our server never refilled our water and I had to flag someone down to do it. I understand its happy hour, but on the last week of the year, it was empty. Maybe a few other tables with us at the bar, but not full/packed or even filling up while we were there. For drinks we had the Tennessee peach, and some sangrias. The server recommended the red sangria over the white sangria because of the white tends to be much sweeter. The red sangria was still wayyyy too sweet for my friend and I. We wondered if drinking the white sangria would be like drinking straight sweet syrup. We didn’t order more drinks. I wanted another but couldn’t trust the servers recommendations. For food we had a bunch of small bites. The cheesesteak eggrolls, street tacos, flatbread, and some pulled pork nachos. The food was bad. The tacos had shells that were harder than rocks. The filling was minimal and super fatty. The flatbread was a sad display, especially after seeing pics of what it should look like. The eggrolls were okay, but could have been better if the filling was even and filled through the roll. HH prices are great, but that’s where it ends. Probably will not make another trip.

This place has a fun modern environment. I have sat at the bar both times. The first time we got the mushroom flatbread, which was good the flatbread was crisp and there were plenty of mushrooms on top. It was light enough but not too light at the same time. We also got the cheesesteak eggrolls. I really liked these! They came with 2 sauces mixed together on the plate one a creamier honey mustard and the other more Asian inspired, they worked well together. There was a decent amount of cheese and meat in them. The next time we came we got the flatbread again and the chicken and farm greens salad. I love blue cheese so right away this salad was a win. It had a lot of flavor between the cheese and the dressing. I would order this again and it did go well with the flatbread. I will probably be coming back here again!

Great food, Great Service, and Great Drinks. Have eaten here a few times now and everything I have ordered has been fantastic. The VIP cocktail is tasty along with the kilt lifter. The only reason I am giving it 4⁄5 is because it is a little expensive for what you are getting, especially with the appetizers.

I had dinner here with my husband for my birthday last night! It was great! Great, friendly staff, and who never leave you hanging when you ask for something. In fact my husband ended up with two ginger ales at one point, not that he needed them both. For our app we had the cheese steak rolls(unsure if that is the actual name); they were good, but I’d just give them maybe 4 stars. He had the lamb burger and from the sounds he made when he ate it I think he’d probably give it 6 stars haha! I had the green chile cheeseburger; big and delicious! They also came on buns that can hold up to the burgers; it’s always one of my pet peeves when you have a great burger but your bun just turns to mush. We also had the sweet potato fries which love to eat with blue cheese dressing. Their dressings and sauces are house made! For me, the kicker of the whole meal was my cocktail!!! It’s called Youth Serum! All I can say is wow! I’m not sure how to review a cocktail, but it wasn’t painful at all to drink and it also was not sickly sweet(I actually can barely say that it was sweet at all, maybe just crisp?) I guess I should just say I definitely had a buzz only half way through it! Granted, I am a natural born lightweight, but I can tell when I get ripped of by the bar with an overly sweet drink with barely any alcohol to even affect a lightweight like me. The atmosphere here is really great, and we will definitely be visiting them again!

Steak egg rolls = five stars! Nutella bread pudding = five stars! Ahi tuna tacos = 4 stars. Steakhouse salad = 4 stars. The appetizer steak rolls were delicious — a must have. The Nutella bread pudding was more like a warm chocolate cake with a crispy Nutella crust and drizzled with warm caramel. If you have a sweet tooth GETTHISDESSERT! Salad needed fresher new crunchy lettuce. Tuna tacos needed a little soy source drizzle. Minimal beer selection according to my hop head.

Restaurant was actually pretty good. Had the lobster sliders with sweet potato fries, Brussels sprouts, Asian tacos and coconut cream pie. Food was fine, but server was kind of spotty. This is a new place so it’ll probably get better on servers. She was trying though. Will definitely come back to try out hh.

I really want to like this place but after 3 times here… I’m calling it quits(for now). First off, made reservations for dinner and hostess seemed to busy to even acknowledge my mother and I. We were heading to the mall and wanted to hit some iron rich filets before our shopping excursion but sadly, maybe we should have just had sarku at the mall eatery. When the host was finally done scribbling whatever she was, she sat us at a 4 top as opposed to a 2 top, which I would usually like, however the space was empty. It was just a bit odd. Our server seemed disengaged and hardly came to our table and not once asked if we needed anything; it was mainly us trying to scan around for him to come to us. He was not a good server at all and. at one point had to ask another server for things. I was hoping the food would be the saving grace however… not at all. If I’m paying $ 37 for an 8 oz filet cooked to medium… How are you going to burn the edges and cook it all the way through? It more like a well done steak. Ironically my mother’s well done filet was super crispy well done but alas, a little way too well done. Thought about sending it back but we had already waited 35 minutes and didn’t feel like waiting any longer. We did ask for bread at one point and our server said they were«baking» it and it’d be right out. What a joke… how is it baked when the center is ice cold? Very odd. There were also just a ton of flies hanging out in the dining area. I did discreetly tell the manager and she appreciated it and gave us 2 free appetizer coupons which I probably won’t use… who wants them? Blah. Was really hoping for better but with the service subpar, food mediocre, and ambiance not there… It’s not for me. I hope it gets better though!

Amazing food, nice people, good location. We came here for lunch on a Saturday and they were pretty slow. The hostess was super nice and the waitress was friendly. Loved the booth, lightingwas nice, music wasn’t too loud. We ordered the Chicken Avacado wrap for the meal and a basil tomato flatbread as the app. Our waitress spaced on our app(happens to everyone!) and had to put the order in so we could get it at the end of our meal. We weren’t mad or anything, no big deal, and she was super apologetic. Without us even asking the manager(I’m assuming) came and apologized and took the app off our bill! I haven’t experienced such a wonderful level of customer service in years! The food was phenomenal(absolutely delicious). The wrap was delicious and huge(we had to split it) and the tomato basil flatbread was fresh, hot, and literally the best flatbread I’ve had anywhere ever!

We were looking for a nice patio ambiance since the weather was outstanding & wasn’t in traveling mode. DFG it is. Chris the GQ of Servers was on deck & took care of us from beginning to end. Although I elected not to eat, I was game ready for my wine. My friend, who was on «another round» auto mode, was enjoyably consuming the Tennessee Peach. Ingredients: Jack Daniels, Fresh Peaches, Honey, Fresh Lime Juice. Clearly it must have been a delightful mix, as he consumed 5 of them… not judging, just sharing the enjoyment of his responsible alcohol consumption. Since I was on a liquid diet & still delighting in my previous nosh of pizza, I took foodie pleasure in watching my friend take a dab at the menu. He started off with the Crab Cake, a very nice presentation but after a bite, he was not sold on it. Chris came out to do his check in, & before it was mentioned of not caring for the Crab Cake, he said, «I can tell it’s not to your liking, what else would you like to try». That’s awesome & proactive customer service. When in doubt, one can never go wrong with Chicken Wings… hence he opted for the Lollipop Chicken Wings. They came out Buffalo Style, with an Avocado Ranch Dressing. They were in true lollipop form as the boneless wings were pierced with skinny wooden sticks, served in a mini iron cast skillet. I was glad to see my friend happily consume his wings & we continued to enjoy our own midday happy hour(not an official HH) on the patio & people watched until we decided to leave. Note: they do offer a Veggie Burger that is Vegan friendly as well as the Fire Roasted Artichoke you’ll just have to negate the Parmesan –Black Pepper Aioli. Overall, a great midday patio place to enjoy the fresh air, reasonable priced cocktails & a nice range of nosh to nibble on that doesn’t hurt the pockets. Must note, the restrooms were exceptionally clean & fresh, with a great décor. I try to reflect in my reviews the cleanliness of the restrooms, as for me, it shows the overall expectations of the restaurant & its objective to accommodate the guests & not just in the dining aspect. One of the best restrooms I’ve seen. Chris, you rocked your serving skills, job well done.

Popped in for lunch in this new Rockville area. Pretty restaurant and the service was friendly. As for the food, I wasn’t blown away. The cheese steak egg rolls were too cheesy for me and it was the type of cheese that coats your mouth. I had half of one. For entrees, we had the Caesar salad with chicken and the BBQ pork bahn mi. I felt that the bahn mi didn’t have enough vegetables and the pork was a little mushy. I get what they were trying to do to the meat, but not my favorite. My husband thought the Caesar was okay, but the dressing had too much anchovy and he hates the butts of romaine in his salad. The best things were my fries with the cutest little bottle of ketchup and the butterscotch pudding jar.

Three and a half stars. DFG doesn’t have the port foie gras butter of DDE, but this region’s DDE doesn’t carry DF’s crab gnocchi anyways. Fabulous service from Sarah O, even when I probably kept her past intended clock out time. Patio’s adjacent to a garage entrance, so I opted to sit inside along a banquette. Corn chowder was my favorite item, packed with flavors and creamy textures that just hit the spot– corn kernels, a few shreds of crab meat, bits of bacon, super thin potato chips, chives. My main course hit the table just as I was about to spoon up the last few drops of soup. Steakhouse salad was more accoutrements than fresh mixed greens, the latter of which were very heavily dressed in the lemon-horseradish and topped with a thick coating of grated parmesan and crumbled blue. Sliced steak was cooked to requested temp and seasoned well, if a bit tough. Ripe avocado chunks, bacon bits, and halved cherry tomatoes. Each half of my deviled eggs was piped high, but clearly came from different batches as one egg white was noticeably more rubbery than the other. The big disappointment of the night was the side of mushrooms, garnished with chives in a one-note sauce and barely cooked down. I’d be open to come back and try the buffalo style grit cakes, shaved prime steak sandwich, chicken pot pie, and Nutella bread pudding.

Since it was Friday, we thought it was best to make a reservation. When we arrived at Pike & Rose shopping center, we didn’t anticipate parking issues — one of the lot was full or wasn’t accepting more cars so we were redirected to another lot. After awhile, we found a parking space. Honestly, we weren’t very impressed with the food or service at Del Frisco’s Grille. We felt rushed and that our server was impatient. Shortly after being seated, our server came to our table to get drink orders but we barely got a chance to look at the menu. We asked our server if he would recommend the Dogfish Head and how bitter it was but he couldn’t tell us. I ordered my favorite drink: Arnold Palmer — great balance of homemade lemonade and iced tea. After seeing other tables with bread, we asked a waiter and he said bread was upon request. We didn’t recall reading that on the menu and wished our server had said something about the bread being upon request. The bread was a soft white bread which was served with a freshly whipped, sweet ‘nutty’(ground almond + coconut) butter. For dinner, we ordered the Wild Mushroom Flatbread(which was topped with fontina cheese, caramelized onion, and baby arugula), the Chopped Caesar Salad(which consisted of chopped fresh romaine lettuce, shredded parmesan, and garlic croutons tossed in an anchovy caesar dressing), and the Sole Francese(which consisted of egg battered filet of sole topped with lump crabmeat in a chive-lemon butter sauce and served with arugula-cherry tomato salad). The Wild Mushroom Flatbread was savory. As for the Caesar Salad, I hate when restaurant chop their lettuce into small pieces to make it seem like there’s more salad than there really is. Also, there were only three small croutons in the salad. Our server told us that adding salmon or steak would cost an additional $ 10 but was in fact an additional $ 12. The Caesar Salad without the Steak was not worth $ 10. This Caesar Salad with Steak was not worth $ 22. The Sole Francese was light and tasty but the egg batter didn’t stick to the fish and there was less than a tablespoon of lump crabmeat on top of the sole.

Staff: Friendly Parking: Garage(free up to 2 hours) or Valet($ 5) in front of Summer House Atmosphere: Professional/Business, Date Night, Friends night out. Not loud, put it this way you can hear your friends at the table, you are NOT fighting to hear eachother over loud music or TVs. Lighting is dim, wood and glass. Seating: Indoor and Outdoor(faces busy Old Georgetown Road) Food: Just right portion, not enough for left overs, but not a small plate to still be hungry. Menu: Great selection of food. Variety. Price is worth the meal. $$.5(not 3, ha-ha) Bar: Bartendars are o.k. not overly friendly, but the drinks are good. A little steep, but grab one or two won’t break the bank. Taste: I have had appetizers and main entrees(see pics) I recommend this place!

I was so disappointed with service tonight. If it had been my very first visit here I probably wouldn’t come back. Initially things started out great. The waitress took our drink orders and then it went down hill from there. It took forever to put in our appetizer orders. We had to flag down another waiter who promptly took our orders for the steak egg rolls and ahi tuna tacos. Just as he was leaving our waitress finally shows up and asks if we need anything. The steak egg rolls and ahi tuna were delicious. Unfortunately tonight the steak salads and short rib beef stroganoff were on the salty side. My New York strip was over cooked(I kind of thought it would be so I purposely ordered medium rare so it would come out medium). Glad I did that. However someone typically comes by and cuts the steak to ask if it’s to our liking. No one did that tonight. My friends crab cakes were spot on. Dessert was delicious — the chocolate warm cake and coconut cream pie; yum! After we get the check the waitress disappears again. She finally comes around and we give her two credit cards and cash. Almost twenty minutes later she asks again how much we want charged. Really?!? If u were not sure, couldn’t you have come back to ask sooner? It was a Sunday early dinner so the poor service was inexcusable. Try to avoid getting seated in Ariel’s section. She needs more training in how to be a better server.

I had a blaaaast here for the Unilocal’s Party Gras Elite Event! Omg! I ate so much food and had way too much fun… I don’t even know where to start! Valet parking. An amazing upscale atmosphere. Fantastic bartenders!(Shout outs to Marcus and Tig!) Delicious foods. Tons o’ fun! C’mon, even the bathrooms are gorgeous! And all of that’s just at first glance. To add to the euphoria, Mike definitely went out of his way to make this an amazing event. Mardi Gras themed. Beads! Music. Games. A party themed drink. And the menu… yes! Our menu was extensive, a large handful of New Orleans flavor. I can’t even name them all. My favorite was the Deviled Eggs with Pickled Shrimp Remoulade! Ah, I would’ve eaten 50 of those in one sitting if they let me. I’m so happy I had the opportunity to come here. Another amazing place to add to my list! Now I know where to come for my next girls’ night out!

Ask for JORDAN! 5STARSFORJORDAN’S SERVICE! he seems knowledgeable and is really friendly and tolerant. i say tolerate cus i can be a little annoying when i ask questions. 3 stars for the food coming out the way we ordered it my friend asked for fries with no salt and there was salt all my friends asked for salad with dressing on the side and 2 did not come with dressing on the side but dressing mixed in the salad steak salad– read so many good reviews. BUT the steak was sooooooooooo chewy! if it’s the same steak they use for their steak then i’m glad i didn’t eat steak here. salads in general– when they add dressing, there is way too much, the greens are basically soaking in the dressing. :( ahi tuna taco– the one we tried was super greasy. the taco shells has grease inside and was just too oily. the tuna was not red and the color seemed a little funky. the shells also seemed very overcooked. cheesesteak rolls– better than the ahi tuna imo but really heavy. good but heavy. i would order it again if it came with some salad or something. it was very flavorful and good but nothing i’d rave about. fries– yum! fries were good and came out really cute with a cute little ketchup bottle we did get a complimentary flatbread which was delicious but i don’t know if it’s cus it took a long time for our food to come out. i would not choose to take my friends here. Jordan was awesome but food was not.

Great addition to «Pike District» formerly known as White Flint area– well at least that is what is being proposed. I like the vibe and atmosphere here. It’s not as swanky as Del Frisco Double Eagle in DC but just right for the burbs. My favorite things to eat are the ahi tacos to start and the steakhouse salad for main course. The ahi tacos are just great(a little more spicy sauce would kick it up a notch). The steakhouse salad is fantastic. My brother indicated Del Frisco’s chain are well known for their steaks and it shows. Now, I wish they had some happy hour specials.

Finally ordered steaks here and they are cooked perfectly. Medium rare is medium rare. Nice char on the outside(despite having too much salt and pepper) and a tender NY strip and filet. Almost prefer the filet better. NY strip was a bit thin, compare to big filet. The steaks don’t come with anything so you will need to order a side. Side of shrooms was great. A bottle of wine($ 50 range), two steaks, ahi tuna tacos, and a side will cost you $ 210 before tip. Ain’t a cheap place and we didn’t get any bread with our meal either! It’s a good place despite how cold the room is and does Del Friscos name proud. Just give me some bread next time I’m there!

Like the first few reviewers, I came to Del Frisco’s for a pre-opening extravagant party where drinks were free flowing and pass around food samples never stopped coming out of the kitchen. Plus, there was a raw bar with the largest shrimp I have ever seen. Five star food, and five star service. However, I wanted to wait to write my review until I experienced the restaurant experience as a paying customer. I came for brunch with fellow Unilocaler, the lovely Bryony B. We came on the late end of Brunch/Lunch, so the reservation I made was not really necessary. Valet parking is not available until after 4pm, so I parked in the garage behind the restaurant. There are no signs inside the garage directing you towards the area to park with the easiest access to Del Frisco’s. I managed; only needed to take the elevator up one level to street access. I told the hostess about this and she let the GM know — that’s pretty cool that they listen to your concerns. In short, love the vibe. The white sangria was yummy, but I think it may be a better deal to order by the glass rather than pay $ 17.00 for a carafe like we did. I had the crabcake Benedict which was misleading because there was no crabcake like Clyde’s, but chunks of crabmeat sprinkled over the focaccia bread. But what surprised me the most was that it was not poached eggs, but semi-soft boiled eggs(see my picture). Not a fan, as I like my poached eggs, and I like them runny. Had I known they were going to substitute the style of eggs, I would not have ordered this dish. Still, it wasn’t bad; I loved the spicy sauce in lieu of the traditional hollandaise sauce. Next meal will be the French toast. To conclude our meal, Bryony and I shared their Nutella bread pudding. Trust me, I love Nutella and would never leave a single bite behind, but this portion is HUGE! It’s enough for three people easily! So hard to resist, especially with a scoop of ice cream! Oh yeah, I’ll be back. Props to Chris, our excellent server. He was very attentive and cordial.
