I love this Michaels! Employees are friendly, and the store is really organized and clean. The $ 1 bin is irresistible, chock full of goodies like pens and note cards, and beats Target’s impulse purchases. I recently bought some cute notebooks and kept one for myself and used the others as little extras in gifts for some friends.
The one item I wanted, Le Pen, only came in one random turquoise shade. It did the job, but I am a little curious why they stock this brand in only one color, and it wasn’t even standard blue or black. As far as writing utensils go, I’d like to see more variety here.
But if you’re looking for scrapbook materials, floral, stamping, framing, or even small home décor items, Michaels is worth a stop.

Michaels is O.K., as they’re one of the last craft stores left in the area. But, they seem to have a little of everything but not a lot of anything. For example, we were looking for cake decorations. Well, they certainly have a (albeit small) cake decoration aisle, but no cake decorations. They have frosting and cut out to make Fondant decorations and things, but no actual decorations or anything to create your own 3D decorations. Same goes for art supplies. They have them, but the assortment and variety is very limited. But they do have twirly hats, so that’s worth an extra star in my book.

We took a photo in for framing. We requested a floating frame (glass back). Was told only the manager knew how to do it. Very expensive, thankfully we had 50%+30% off… still came to $ 175. It looked great in the store, but when we wanted to hang it noticed that the hangers in backed were not put on very carefully… crooked, lopsided and during the process of applying even bent one of the nails. Very frustrated and didn’t want to drive all the way back and then wait again for them to fix do husband straightened that out. Hung it up on the wall and noticed that they photo itself… within the glass is crooked too! This was the manager that did this? Supposedly more experienced! Not impressed.

This Michael’s seems to have the friendliest staff of all the Michaels stores in the area. And yes, I’ve been to them all.
Every time I walk in, someone genuinely greets me. There is almost never a long line — and when there is, they have a new cashier start helping.
Everything in the store is pretty much the same as what you will find in any Michaels.

I love this store, I frequent it plenty and they usually have what I am looking for. The prices are a little high but can easily be offset by searching for coupons. The store itself is always clean and the employees are very helpful.
…Now if only I could spend more time crafting and less time shopping!
