I was surprised at how good the food was. Very friendly servers and customers. We were there on Karaōke night and the guy running it was a hoot.

First off this is in the heavily populated horse properties in the older section of Norco, most of the people out here own ranches and most of the kids compete in rodeo so this is a get together spot for people to sit and visit have a drink and chat about their week so check your city attitude and realize your going to be here for a hour or more but the music is nice and the people are friendly so relax and I suggest you sit at the bar. We had the Pattie Melt and Pulled Pork sandwich with salads and a side of onion rings and ice tea. The hamburger was really good exceptional really and everything else was quite good. The cook even came out and sat with us for awhile and told us about the restaurant also super nice. So we will come back and I say give it a try.

We’ve been coming here for 2 years now it is a child friendly restaurant and bar. The food is so flavorful and large portions. The salads are always fresh I have never seen a dull lettuce in my salad. The fried pickles are to die for. They have pool tables where adults and kids can play a dance floor karaōke. People parks their horses in the front of the restaurant so it’s cool to see them as you have dinner this is a true western place with mature people. The waitresses are so humble and if your a regular they automatically bring you your drinks!

Hubby and I live close and we’re wanting a cold brew and some lunch so I suggested the saddle sore. i had been there with my son once and had a quesadilla and it was good. we were greeted very friendly by a cute little brunette with some daisy duke shorts. i had read the Texas egg rolls were good so I ordered those and hubby ordered a cheeseburger. Mine was 7.99.i think his was 9.99. I had a glass of wine 3.75 and he had a couple of beers. Anyway the cook or the owner or some real friendly guy comes out with a salad We both said we didn’t order a salad. so he says oh it must be a mistake but it’s here so you guys can have was just a little house salad but Texas rolls were just like egg rolls but filled with cream cheese and jalapeños with a sweet and sour sauce. there were 4 of them. i have to say very good but so rich that I could only eat hubby had a huge hamburger with an enormous amount of fries. he was a happy camper. he said he would certainly come back if he wants a good was fun watching the the guy who said they are prejudice against hispanics. there were 6 Caballero s with gaucho hats and spurs who parked their horses. they came in and had a couple pitchers of beers and some lunch and the staff treated them like family.

I LOVE this place… they have a corral to park your horses at and great food/beer at reasonable prices. Pool table. Country music and a dance floor. What more can you ask for?!? I usually go on not so crowded days(ie during the week. not fri nights parade days etc. Service is always A++ A diamond in the rough :)

By far the best bar to go to in Norco!!! Amazing food and the people who work here are sooooo sweet! They always remember my fiancé and I when we walk in and the service is great. Highly recommend this place!

I’m breaking up with Saddle Sore. I have a ton of friends who go here and have always had fun when I go. The bartenders are cool and all. BUT I was extremely disappointed, I went a few weeks ago for my birthday. I had a decent sized party, all of whom were spending plenty of money there. I asked the DJ to play ONE song for me, he said no, I laughed it off thinking he was joking. NOPE. He refused because it was another guys birthday, who had requested to play only older country songs all night. There was no one dancing all night with the music being played. And all I really wanted was one song to dance to. Apparently it was too much to make one simple request– for my birthday.

I really wanted to like this place. I was driving down 15, craving a steak from someplace that wasn’t a crappy chain, and this came up on my Unilocal map. I’d never driven through downtown Norco before, that was probably the most interesting part. The staff seemed rushed. The other patrons weren’t outright hostile, but they did seem like a very local crowd. The place is an above-average dive bar and grill. I had the rib eye, which tasted okay but wasn’t anything all that special, and it wasn’t cheap. The horseradish was nice and hot. I make a better rib eye on the grill at home. Not sure what they could do to improve. I probably just had expectations too high. I kind of wish I had just gone to Outback.

I’m an American cowboy with mexican ancestry my wife’s American with European ancestry. The moment we walked in we got a bunch of weird stares one cowboy even said something to me. When I looked at him and asked him to repeat it he just shrugged his shoulders. The bartenders knew him well I’m guessing he is a regular the racism is disgusting here. I will never be back I hope this place closes down sooner than later with the dead atmosphere I’m sure its heading there fast.

Came here for the first time on a Sunday to eat with a large group. We ordered a round of drinks and when the waitress came back she told us the kitchen was closed for a private party. Boo! Not sure why we weren’t even told when we sat down.

This place is awesome. This feels like a REAL saloon with a mechanical bull to ride and a place to tie up your horse! The place is filled with Cowboys and Cowgirls. Very fun environment. The manager Trish was really helpful and friendly. She was smiling the entire time and interacting with all of the customers.

I have been going to saddle sore for many years and its always been a nice little hometown bar to hang out with good friends and have a few drinks. Every time we go here we make sure to get the same waitress Kristy and she does and amazing job and makes our night out that much better! Taco tues is good but have to say get the chicken there the best or avocado ones to try something different.

Came back with 3 friends and my horse and again had great service and well priced drinks. But this time we enjoyed ‘taco Tuesday’ and were not disappointed. The tacos were hot and flavorful. Perfect size and great $.

½ star! This place is wack! Can’t make a mixed drink and tried to double charge on the first beer! Says live music but it’s only karaōke. I won’t be back ever! My drink sucks!

What can I say about this place? It’s a hometown dive bar with pretty good food, great music, And open pool tables. The beer flows cold and fairly cheap, and if you go on Taco Tuesday, the foods pretty cheap and good too. I recommend the chicken tacos over the beef tacos because the flavor is a little more bold. If you go on a regular night, I recommend the steak. it’s a pretty large portion and marinated just right to be tasty. This is the one of the few places left that I have found that still serves pitchers of beer which is perfect on a football Sunday afternoon. They have TVs all over so you won’t miss any of the action. The waitstaff is happy and helpful and the bartender pours a strong drink. I almost forgot to mention that parking is occasionally a bit of a problem, probably because there is less room for cars so there can be more room for horses. Yes, people ride their horses in Norco to the bar. This is a one-of-a-kind Kinda town.

Came here about 2 weeks ago with a few friends. They all live in Riverside County while little old me lives in Orange County. :P This place was in the middle from my friends and I to meet up. Plus, one of my friends has been coming here for years since after college. Love this place. It has the old saloon bar/restaurant feel to it. When coming here, there is a little area to park your real horse, which was pretty neat. Small parking. But, good for me and my friends on a Saturday night since the place wasn’t that packed. Don’t know why on a Saturday night. There is a little area in the front for line dancing or any other dancing throughout the night. They play from old country music to the most recent. They also play some of the pop songs too from old to new like MC Hammer, Micheal Jackson, to Bruno Mars and Carry Underwood and Maranda Lambert. They have pool tables too. The service was good. We were not in a hurry to go and we had fun. I did realized that the waitress did come by once in awhile to check on us if we needed anything. The bar hostess was attentive also. She poured drinks as quickly as possible for everyone as possible. The food and drinks were good. The menu is simple with a few burgers, steaks, tacos, and fries. I had the rib eye steak, with bake potato and veggies. Don’t expect the high end steaks like some places; but, it’s not bad. I also shared beer battered avocado tacos and fries(I forgot what it was called but it had cheese, bacon, and some fixings on top of it). Love the tacos. Hopefully I could come back to try their other tacos. All in all, good food, drinks, music, and dancing with friends is all the better on a Saturday night. :)

Long ride on iron horses through Elsinor, Perris, Lake Mathews when the hunger and thirst hit. A rider in our group said this is the place to go. This IS the place to go. Every other stop we were the crowd, here we were part of the crowd. A good sign. 12 of us ordered drinks and they came right out, nice and cold. Our server, Christie? took our orders and we found out she was the only one there and probably over 40 customers in the bar. Server, bartender, dishwasher and maybe even cook? We thought, great, going to be an hour to get food… Nope. Not much longer than it takes to cook a burger and the food was there. Hot and really pretty good. OK, service was the bomb thanks to her. Food was way above average for an «eatery». Most everybody ordered something different, everyone was satisfied. I found myself almost complaining there was too much avocado and mushrooms on my burger, dumb brain. It was all good. From parking our iron horses next to the real ones, the western atmosphere, pool tables, cold drinks and good food. Looks like the night life there would be kick ass. Another time…
