I order dumpling noodles. It was pretty much instant noodles+5 dumplings which you can make at home for $ 3 or less. It was $ 11 there

I’ve never been to South Korea; haven’t been invited to North Korea and likely never will be on their invite list. Nevertheless, I’ve enjoyed Korean specialties at restaurants in China, Japan & Thailand, so much so, that when in the area, I wanted to stop in. Here’s a toast to the new year that sodium won’t be the ingredient yelling and carrying on for attention. The dumpling soup was perfectly flavored without the suspect saltiness of soups everywhere, as it was delicious and filling! Steaming, flavorful and so yummy! Same for the fresh flavors of the pork and vege dumplings. A little introductory taste of Korea, and a nice change from salads and sandwiches!

If you are ever craving some old school want mando, this is the place to be. I have been to places that have great mando but this place hits the spot. Everything is hand made and made to order! The only bad thing is that sometimes the Wang(king) mando are sold out due to its popularity. If you ever have the chance try the king dumplings;)

Dumpling and mandu are so good. Second time is as good as the first time. I’m normally a fried dumpling kind of girl but steamed was so good and the flavor is so good. We bought some frozen mandu and can’t wait to cook them up!

Fast food spot for fresh hand made Korean dumplings. You can get them steamed or fried. It is absolutely delish!!! We get a bunch of frozen handmade dumplings for home later. A little secret spot to get great food at a great price.

Normally I goto the Sushi place right beside it but I had a hankerin for some dumplings today. I got the giant dumplings with pork they were really good. They were fresh and hit the spot. I wish they gave more sauce but, eh, thats neither here nor there. Good place to get inexpensive good Korean Dumplings on the fly if you are in Niles

My wife and I stopped for lunch and tried the dumpling soup and a the pork dumplings. The soup was pretty bland and the dumplings were ok. The pork dumplings were better than the soup dumplings but still didn’t seem as good as I thought they were going to be. We were server some sort of pickled side that was really tasty as it had just the right bite and a little sweetness to counter the vinegar taste. When we go back I would have to try one of the other vendors before I went back to the dumplings stall

Pretty good mandu-guk that satisfies the urge, but I would expect a place that specializes in mandu to be better than the quality you can get at 90% of Korean restaurants. The mandu filling is decent, a good mix of pork and vegetables; I prefer homemade skin but it looks like they use the thin skin that’s sold in packs of 100 a stone’s throw away in the H Mart grocery section. Mandu is also available deep fried, but pan friend(my preference) is not offered. The wife says the jin mandu is excellent.

Despite the fact that this is just a fast food korean spot in the foodcourt at Hmart, this is some of the best Mandu Guk I’ve ever had! They always make this dumpling soup soooo good and so tasty! Not that any Mandu Guk is ever mindblowing but this is really authentic if you want good korean dumpling soup to warm you up! I CRAVE this specific place for this specific dish. I leave the comforts of my downtown pad just to come all the way to this food court to have korean yummies.(and get my asian grocery shopping done while i’m at it). The dumplings are VERYGOOD! Well flavored and tasty. Steaming egg floats lightly in a tasty broth that just warms the belly through and through!

Dumplings, buns, mandoo’s. Yum, I love’em all. This is another food stall that is located within the food court of H Mart. Chicago has lacked mandoo(dumpling) houses for quite sometime. I’m talking about restaurants where they serve a decent made«in house» dumpling. They offer a wide variety of them and don’t dally with other offerings, it’s just types of dumplings. Prices are a little expensive but the quality is pretty good.
