Just a heads up that they do not serve their full Café menu till 1am. The kitchen closes at I’d night and only coffee and pastries are available from midnight till close.

This is my favorite date spot! My boyfriend and I always come here for dessert! We have tried multiple different cakes and drinks here and it has the best sweet milky tres leche cake and the coffee tastes very European(in a good way)! It is nice to sit outside on the patio on nice cool days, and it is super comfy to sit on the comfy lounge chairs/sofa inside. Mind you, we are normally the only Asians whenever we go, but we love the atmosphere and the cakes are so yummy! If you like sweet but rich cakes, I would definitely recommend going here! Also they are open super late :)

This place is hit or miss. If you sit outside your subjected to loud talking, smoking and slow service. The chicken kabobs where great but the baklava was not fresh. It was soggy & tasted raw. That surprised me for it primarily being a Greek bakery. The waitress was ok, was on a work visa and seemed to not be very friendly. I’ve dined inside and had to hunt down my waitress just to have a coffee reheat or a napkin. I think they need to work on customer service, separate the outside area for smokers & non smokers and only serve their absolute freshest pastries.

We stopped into the bakery for some great cookies and baklava. Very good. Service was friendly to my children and that means a lot. The box of cookies we bought barely made it home. Yum!

The worse service … No one brought menus. No drinks. Waitresses chatting only instead of working. Awful service I had to go

One of my very favorite bakeries in the whole Chicago area the Toulubies are unbelievable even better than the ones that my dad makes the baklava I give it four and a half stars. Artopolis has the best baklava another thing I have to point out service here is great everybody’s friendly smiling and being very polite. Thank you papagalino.

Their cakes have liquor in them. Disliked very much! I had the tres leches, the chocolate mouse cake, and some fried flour which tasted like it was made with lard. Not good. Go to bravo bakery in mount prospect instead!

Pricey but good. My Fredo café, cappuccino, and sweet, thank you. Carrot cake was moist and just sweet enough. Parking is awful. Love the chairs, leather and squishy.

Disappointed. I had Napoleon and Macarons and cream puffs to go. Napoleon was too floury and Macarons tasted and smelled like a freezer… I wanted a true Parisian confectionary and pastry, but turned out a very sad tea time at home.

I was disappointed with the quality of the food and the service. I ordered the Greek burger and ask for it medium rare, I got a medium well burger and a hunk of feta on it. The waitress went away and I couldn’t find her to get mustard for the burger. I waited 5 to 10 minutes before eating. The desert I had was a latte and that was okay… Service was slow and the quality of the food was subpar.

The food is really delicious and the vibe here is amazing. I come all the time with friends but one thing that always makes me regret coming here is the SERVICE! Horrible service. The waiters never check up on you and good luck flagging them down to get your check. Even on slow days where there’s only 3 tables full, your waiter will come to you maybe once or twice. Only thing keeping me coming back is the food.

My son in law is amazing and 100% Greek so he knows what he’s talking about when he recommends a good place for Greek food. This was his recommendation, which we did not hesitate to take. We enjoyed a morning coffee and hot chocolate and the BEST bougatsa that I’ve ever had. A bit big so sharing is a must. Buttery, crispy, with the smoothest filling that I’ve ever enjoyed and a dusting of cinnamon that made the taste sheer perfection. While pretty much everything looked good-I’m considering this my go-to place to satisfy my need for bougatsa.

I was shown this place by a Greek person so I knew it was legit. Had a fredo(iced latte with cinnamon), pork souvlaki wrap with friends and feta, and bougatsa(filo pastry with Greek custard filling). Everything was absolutely delicious. Service was fast and décor was kind of kitschy, but in a good way. Apparently papagalino means parrots, so there were lots of fake parrots — I thought it was cute. I’m coming back here.

Absoloutely love this place, the atmosphere is one of a kind. True european feel, especially with all the cute lady servers. This place literally never closes(OK, it does. but it doesn’t ever feel like it) The food is good, the drinks are always perfect every time. If you are in a rush… please do not come here, it’s extremely European style casual dining, not American style as to where everything is rushed. Great for one person, or twenty(trust me, there’s always 20+ groups) Parking can be hard to find at night, some people park across the street if it’s too flooded. Sit back, smoke your cigar & enjoy a fredo medium! Love Papa G’s, no place like this one!

I think if I was or became a frequent visitor I would give this place/restaurant five stars. The food was good, the service was great, and the place was elegant. You won’t be disappointed. Try the Aris lager.

Absolutely Loveeeee Papa G’s!!! My cousin recommended the bakery to me a long time ago. I stopped by one day and noticed there was an adjoined café right by the bakery. I got a table with my friend outside and immediately feel in love with the European vibe of the place! It reminded me of this place in Montenegro called«Turist»(the furniture literally is the same). After that initial visit I became a regular. I used their bakery once for a customized two story present/bow cake. The quality of the cake, filling and icing was amazing and they did a great job crafting the cake. I was very happy with the end result. The actual café is a great place for people of all ages to hang out. Their tres leches cake is amazing, their chicken souvlaki plate is delicious and their spanakopita is a must try! I’ve been so many times and cannot give one complaint. Highly recommend this place!

I visit the restaurant pretty frequently and absolutely LOVE the chicken pita wrap. The chicken is so tender, the tzatziki sauce is perfect, and the fries are to die for! They also make very good frappes and finger-licking cakes! You can walk out back to the bakery and choose a desert you’d like to have at the restaurant. Papagalino’s gives you a little taste of Europe! Definitely go and try it out for yourself!
