One of the poorest and slowest in service & quality of food! Their samosas are fine; everything else is dipped in oil or stale or will take forever to cook fresh. After the first few visits came that one last tipping point visit when u can’t just take the crappy food and or service anymore.

Very unethical business and staff. Was charged for 3 samosas and got only two which were cold and bland. They took forever to pack the samosas. They charged me 4.99 $ for a box of papad. Don’t buy anything that doesn’t have a price sticker on it. Would rather buy snacks next door at the Indian store. Check my other reviews. I rarely give out less than 5 stars. I would sue this place for conning me if it was worth the trouble. Extremely disappointed.

in short. over price food. Customer service means nothing. They will Over charge you and not listen to reasoniong when you explain that your overcharged and when you ask for your money back because you’re taking way too long for you food they won’t give you a refund so you have to make an extraordinary long time to get your food people who came in 10 minutes after you could get the food before you

Boy standing at counter and taking bills doesn’t have etiquettes and just show off trying to speak English. Food is fine but whole time staff’s noise and calling people by shouting is bit irritating. I still found another restaurent next to this place inside Moviemax.

Having heard good reviews, I went there with a lot of expectations!!! With the name, I was expecting chats similar to the ones that we get back in Mumbai. And the reality turned out to be no where near to. The vada pav was too sweet. Samosa chole was also not good. Pav bhaji was the only thing which I would say was decent. I would recommend some other place for a quick snack.

I wish there was negative stars to rate this place. I was here with my friends around noon today and had the worst experience. The young girl that was working at the time was very rude. She was screaming at us instead of being polite. I never had a an experienced this much attitude from anyone as a customer. Please consider hiring employees that will appreciate your customers instead of harassing them. More over the receiving the worst hospitality the food on the menu that we wanted wasn’t available. We ended up walking out like anyone would do.

Average place nothing special. Chats are okay, mango lassi are not made from fresh mangos but mango juice and only item I like is the potato patties sandwich.

We walked into Bombay Chat yesterday about 15 – 20 minutes after they opened at noon. Right inside the entry door we needed to detour around a pile of newspapers that were apparently delivered but not stowed away. This is a counter service place. We walked to the counter and saw two of their people in the kitchen, and they saw us. We stood around for 10 minutes, and neither bothered to greet nor acknowledge us. We never got to chat with anyone there. We walked out and went somewhere else.

the good: — the wada pav was impressively spicy and shareable by 2 people. — good affordable variety of snacks and food close to MovieMax meh or bad: –the idli-sambar was meh. I only had a bite. –the Bombay chat was meh. –generally all below average My stomach didn’t settle too well with the spicy wada pav and chaat. I may just avoid the chaat in the future.

The owners dont have any idea how to cook. I can guarantee they have never eaten local Indian food, or their taste buds have lost their abilities. The ingredients are very poor quality, the taste is pathetic(Indian food should not taste this bad), and the presentation is horrendous. I have been here a few times hoping they will improve and it never happens. In my opinion they should not even be in business.

Positives… Friendly staff. Negative… The food. We ordered a few snack items — dosa, batura, idili, vada, pav bhaji. All were below average standard. Vada was particularly bad.

Try chat, They do it very good. If you try south Indian it may not be so good. Some people in the reviews may have tried south Indian. Even my friends complain about bad food when they tried south Indian

I ordered a Grilled veg sandwich and Bhel puri. Those things were good and tasted fine. But a big goof up on the part of the owner: the plastic ketchup bottles at the counter had stale ketchup in them. I almost had to spit out my food after I dipped the sandwich in the ketchup from the bottles. The owners would do better if they at least had fresh ketchup at the counter. The place really lacks in cleanliness since it is a mom and dad shop. The tables had food crumbs etc.

I did not see the reviews until after I ordered and consumed the food therefore, I should be giving my sole opinion rather than consider other comments right? I somewhat agree with most of the comments: 1) the menu(s) are only on the counter where you order and that gives you very little time to look over the menu — the problem I experienced is that I’m not Indian so I had no clue what the menu listings were. Nothing was translated into English so I had to ask and I felt bad holding up the line; 2) The gentleman behind the counter seemed very nice however, he needs to recognize the customers especially when walking away and turning this back — he should say, «I’ll be with you in a moment.» 3) There is a wait because the placement of the counter is a long walk to the kitchen and you see them walking back and forth a lot — they need to streamline the ordering process so that the kitchen can get the orders in the back instead of walking to the front to get the orders; 4) Table needs to be attended(wiped-down, etc. and floors needs to be swept; This truly can be a great restaurant — I see the potential if they paid attention to the details. Menus translated to English and to-to menu’s and one near the Entrance would help a lot. I hope they read these comments and make the necessary improvement if they want to succeed because they can do it.

This tiny little Indian Snacks place is my favorite place to stop at right after or before watching an Indian movie at the adjacent theater. As the name suggests, this place primarily serves Chaat items, which are a kind of spicy Indian snack. At $ 1.99 for 2 Samosas and $ 4.99 per chaat, these are some of the most competitive prices I have seen across the country and the best value for money. The chaats themselves are very flavorful and the options plenty. Surprisingly, this place also offers some South Indian specialties like Dosas and Entrée size Thalis as well. The service is average, just about the level you would expect at any place of this scale. But on any given day, you would find it filled with Indians — a definite positive sign!

We had the papdi chat and channa. The puri’s we ordered came out really undercooked and flaky. We asked for them to remake it and it caused quite a stir in the back. An «Auntie» was sitting picking her toe nails behind the counter and was giving the creepy Indian stare. If this place was not right next to a movie theater that plays Indian movies, i would say don’t bother checking it out. Its location is so key for people looking to get some Indian flavored food before or after a movie. Service: 2 of 5 Food: 2 of 5 Cleanliness: 1 of 5 Location: 3 of 5
