DePasquale’s At Night Caps Corner

I’ve tried a lot of Italian deli’s and this one is BY FAR the best. Clean, tidy, stylish set up with fast service and fun/​polite staff. Oh, and the food was awesome. Great portion size, and authentic homemade Italian recipes! Try the meatball sub for hot food. Try the spicy Italian, or the figgy piggy (fig jam and prosciutto) for deli sandwiches. This place is gonna be a cornerstone for Newton food in the future!

Great service, delicious food — good value.
We ordered takeout — prompt and friendly service in a nice atmosphere. We highly recommend the pastrami, but everything was good. Looks like the patio will be a good spot this summer.

next to my favorite tiny (1 woman show) Homemade bakery in Boston (Country Deserts!)

Had never seen this spiffy new place, so asked the staff how long they had been around
(3 days!) just tried a couple of things at this mostly take out, Italian deli but…
They had been working very hard to get the place open and already running on 6 cylinders.
Here’s what I learned:
* Very nice woman who was telling me about the place turns out to be co owner
Her young daughter behind the counter was equally cool.
* The interesting space, really spotless, looks brand new, is actually a converted gas station!
* Mom says they are the same (extended) family that has run DePasquales Sausage & Mkts.
for generations.
* Only had time to pick up some outstanding big really homemade choc/​chip cookies
& some very homemade tasting potato salad .BUT It is obvious speaking with these folks, they have put tremendous effort /​thought /​money /​heart into this place
and it IS going to be a major addition to the area quick food scene.
*Will let others critique the many view-​able pans of parmagians, homemade sausages etc.
done up as plates w/​rice or subs/​wraps (which I have a hunch will be excellent too.)
*Odd name refers not to the restaurant but the trad. name of the 5 corner mini village.
