Great service, fantastic food! Generous portions and Big Bang for the buck. We had the fried calamari and it was delicious. We also had the seafood stew and highly recommend it. The fried shrimp was also a great meal, they also have great options for kids. We will be back.

I should have read the reviews before I ate here. I have the tuna burger and it was like eating rubber. The water and the service where good. I would not eat here again.

My wife took me here she had oysters for an appetizer she said they were not cleaned well her main course was stuffed flounder it was very oily and greasy
I order the clam chowder it was good not great and my main meal was the fried clams they were horrible no taste at all and greasy no matter how much cocktail sauce they had no flavor
My wife had them boxed when I had to step out when I saw this when I returned I told her to leave them I told a waitress that though I forgot them the same thing they were horrible
For the money it was a waste I could get clams in White Castle that taste better

We were here on vacation last month with
a big group. What a great time! The food was great and the drinks were excellent! Our group enjoyed ourselves a lot! Great clams, mussels and crab legs! My husband and I came back a couple of days later with our dog. We sat on the back porch and the staff fussed over the dog… he got water and a lot of petting! And the food was just as good!

I love their clam chowder new england, it’s thick, tasty and their not stingy with their clams. Most places will give u a lot of potatoes but here, they give u more clams. And i also had their crab (king cran and dungenes) they are good too and the eat n peel shrimp that we’re not too crazy about.

Saw alot of low reviews which made me nervous we made the wrong choice. Outside table area is great AND shaded. Tuna burger was delicious and crab cake sliders were good, although they shoukd fit the bun. Its a fun place and Im glad we came here. Our waiter was an idiot but we were here for the food, not the waiter.

The food was good. Fresh lobster in the roll and PERFECTLY cooked green beans. I deducted a star because I saw the «bartender» using her bare hands to scoop fruit out of some kind of container in the fridge for a pitcher of sangria. SO unsanitary!

There’s a reason that this place only has 2.5 stars In this awesome town. No line to get in
As every place else had a long line. Food tastes about like fast food.
Server got the orders wrong
Rather than just correcting the issue argued
Then the manager proceeded same dumb conversation
Although admitting an error
The correct order came out well after everyone else ate
They didn’t even come the lousy cheeseburger
No refilling of waters or anything
We travel all the time
Our friends just moved here
Not recommending this unless one wants to have less than average food and poor experience
If there was a no star rating… it doesn’t deserve a 1

Here’s the scoop– it’s a great location so they stay busy. The clam chowder– which is touted as the 2015 Chowderfest winner– was The best thing I tasted here, great creamy brith but low in clams/​spoonful. Next up was the pulled pork: nice & sweet, then the house made guacamole. Fried onion rings & potatoes were weak, not crunchy as they cooled but tough. Maybe it’s the humidity.
Service was good, indoor too hot. Maybe should have been seated outside.

My family showed up to the Braking Crab on a blustery Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was about half full. The server immediately looked at my kids and said, they had no room inside, but I we could sit outside at the picnic tables. It was about 40 degrees outside, though the picnic tables were under a tent and heated. I went back inside looked at a half full restaurant, and she again said they had no room. The food was fine, no real big issues their, they just aren’t family friendly I guess.

Came here for lunch (still sitting here, actually). It’s about 1000 degrees inside on a summer day (this may be slightly exaggerated). Service was VERY slow. Like, there are literally maybe ten tables in here but we waited ten minutes to place drink orders slow. Why? Food was mediocre at best — I should need to have the wasabi aioli on my tuna burger to make it edible– dry as a bone. I regret not going to the Brick Alley Pub for lunch… Oh well, next time. I can assure you I won’t be coming back here.

The food was just ok, we ordered the mussels of the day which was pretty good.
Then we also ordered losbter flat bread and it was just ok nothinf special.
We also got the chicken under the brick the chicken was ok a little bit dried but the bread for the salad dressing was soggy, instead of hard and crunchie. Overall its was ok food. Since we wanted to go to another one but closed earlier and came upon this one. The service was very good thought.

Not sure about the bad reviews. Sat near the bar to have lunch and service was awesome along with the food great. Great attentive staff and the portions and quality of the food were excellent. One of the more reasonably priced places in Newport, considering some are way overpriced for little portions or terrible quality. We’ll be back to this place — would highly recommend it.

Outer Sunset, San Francisco, CA
We went there with a group of 11 people. Our server was awesome and extra caring. I am allergic to all shellfish. I ordered the burger and they are taking allergies extra serious here. The manager herself took care of my order and she bring it to the table. Food was nice, too. All eleven of us are totally satisfied. They also have a nice big patio where we were seated.

I’ll give them one extra star for the excellent Bloody Mary. Other than that? NOPE.
Way too salty. When I told the server my food was salty (unbearably salty), he pretty much argued with me and didn’t do a thing about it.
Avoid this place.
