Doc’s Inn

They have great rock bands usually on Saturday nights. It’s the last place in scv not overrun by 22 yr Olds. I’ve met at least 7 or 8 people over the past couple years that say the Russian bartender is unbelievably rude. The other one (that sings sometimes) is very nice. I always try to order from her.

This is a bar I only go to if I have to. I don’t like the energy here nor the ppl. Dirty, loud, crazy men.

Was here with a group from CalArts after a film showing. Fun bar that was able to accommodate a good number of people and types. Us older folks sat out back on the patio and was able to talk and enjoy the music. The younger ones were inside singing and have a lot of fun it appears.
Good beers on tap and looked like a good selection of out liquid refreshments. Tab was outrageous when we closed it. Fun good dive bar night!

ideal diver bar, good drinks a little price, some sketchy or wierd people but not everyone alot of people there are great to talk to. the ambience is typical (dim lighting, darts, jukebox, gold arcade, casino arcade thing., drinks are great, the good lookin bartender Brooke is friendly, quick, and a great mixologist. cool little back patio, does get a little too loud with bands that play because its such a small area but maybe that just me.

When you hit rock bottom come here and you will realize there is still a long way to go.

This is the bar that I take everyone from out of town to show them the «essential «SCV. Friendly bartenders, local old skool fools, and cheap drinks. Plus, the live bands are usually pretty good. A solid dive bar in a land of plastic chain establishments.

I think most of the reviews got it right. Problem is not everyone likes the same things. Yes there were weirdos, freaks, business people, ex strippers, and college kids there. Some people like that, some don’t. The place was small, cozy, and crowded. Some people like that, some people don’t. They had a pretty good singer on that Saturday night. I thought the Jukebox was kind of low during his breaks. Could have used louder music since there is a small dance floor. But, some people like loud music and some people don’t. The bartender seems to get mixed reviews on here. I didn’t have a problem with her, but I got the feeling she prefered to be somewhere else. She did ask my wife if she had a safe ride home, so points for seeming to care. So you can see how it gets mixed reviews while reviewers are saying the same thing. The place did what it was intended to do. It allowed me to get drunk and people watch without breaking my wallet; and my wife had a good time. Minus one star for weak Jack and Coke.

This place is awesome! They had a guy come in and perform songs. He was a human jukebox! Best time!

This is my favorite local dive bar. Interesting people, refreshing drinks. Take it for what it is. A good place to stop and get some medicine after a crappy day at the office. Also a good place to meet your friends for a cold one. I always leave Doc’s feeling better than when I came in. Enuf said!

But, my first time I had to wait more than once for drinks, in an empty bar
Then there are the prices… Over $ 18 for two pints of Shocktop and a shot equivalent to Jagermiester on a Thursday at 430pm. Something is wrong, I’ll stick to the chain restaurants with happy hours and food.

Best bar in SCV. It’s a dive bar all the way but that’s what makes it awesome. The staff are amazing! It’s got it all, Karaōke, GoldenTee, darts, locals, music, dimly lit and great drinks.
Why go anywhere else?!?

Since dive bars in the SCV are limited I feel obligated to give 3 stars. Band was super fun and fulfilled our group of 8’s dance craving. A few too drunk locals caused us too leave early.

I use to come to the place a lot cause i grew up in the SCV Valley, I recently went back to visit a few friends that i haven’t seen in many years, Place was Pretty packed when i walked in not to many people at the Bar but kinda moving around the place, Smoker patio out back was full as usual.
The Bar tender Katka is probably one of the Most Rudest People i have ever come across in the Bar scene, Grabbed my Drink and took it away from sitting right in front of me. I asked her what are you doing, she’s says your done with it, I need your glass. I said i’m not done with it i’m still drinking it thats why its right in front of me. Mind you that i have only had one drink with being there for the 1^st hour of the night.
Then she starts swearing at me for no reason cause i wanted to finish my drink, Im sorry but where do you come off, to be able to swear at your customers that are just there to bring you money? I have never met this woman before and have never had a confrontation with her either. So for Miss Katka to came at me being very disrespectful for no reason at all is completely uncalled for.
It definitely was nice to see a few people while i was there, But for something like that to happen, very weird. I would never come back to this Place.
Cool little dive bar but Horrible Bartender. Some people think that they can treat others disrespectfully for no reason at all. When they are your customers and bringing money into your bar thats the last thing you want to do.

This bar is the best and the people that work there are awesome I love it there. The scene is great and the people that show up there are friendly also and the karaōke is hilarious

This is by far my favorite bar in SCV. Possibly my favorite bar in the whole entire world! And that’s saying a lot cuz trust me party people, I’ve been to them all.
This place is really laid back and fairly small. But man do they serve alcohol. I swear the put ruffies in their kegs, every time I leave this place I’m on the god damn floor!!!
Usually I go here with just a few friends but I pretty much know everyone there so it’s just one big party and everyone is friendly as hell, they have a great staff that works the bar. My favorite being Kodka, yea Vodka with a K, how perfect is that name for a bar tender. And she is fine as anything I have ever laid my eyes on. And then there is Randy, cool down to earth guy that just wants everyone to have a good time.
They have live bands and kareoke on certain nights of the week, I’m not sure what nights are which due to the fact that every night that I have ever been there all just seems like one big blur.
They have 2 dart boards that get a lot of use and there are always people that are more than happy to play with you. Back smoking patio that you can bring your beer out to. Bathrooms are kinda shitty due to the fact there isn’t a stall for the shitter. So if you think your going to have to drop some logs I would recommend doing that before you get to the bar, but that should a given any night you go out I guess, but hey shit happens.
I can’t say it enough but I love this place!

I have to say that I kind of love Doc’s Inn for the dive bar that it is. Reminds of a place that I love back in Bakersfield, CA called the Mint which was laid back and had all walks of life come thru.
The drinks are good and are reasonably priced. I say for what Docs is they are pretty cool. Had some fun nights there. Don’t let the exterior fool you it’s a good sized bar.

I’m here RIGHT NOW as I’m reviewing Doc’s Inn. The bartender «Cherie» is talking & is doing nothing BUT talking. I’ve been waiting for a beer for 10 minutes. While I’m waiting, she’s talking to other patrons about a guy that she met at work that has a BIG cock he has. I asked for my beer & she gave me a look that I was ruining her story. No more, man. Pretty messed up over here. It feels like if you’re NOT a regular, you’re NOT welcomed. Thanks again, Doc’s Inn

Loved this bar.
Wandered in on vacation from Vegas, and made about 10 new friends. The barstaff was great, and the patrons were awesome. Very cool people, and a great vibe. i will definitely come back next time i’m in town.
