Came by for bunch and it was amazing! The open face BLT(which was basically a version of an eggs Benedict was out of this world). Service was great and food was cooked perfectly.

Always great food and service when we go! Shrimp and grits are great! And my brothers always gets the farmers pig which seems like a huge hit.

I am writing this review as such because there are plenty of restaurants worthy of our visit and patronage. In the hope that they improve, I am being as honest and forthcoming as possible. I preface with the fact that my visit took place Valentines Day 2016. It was a prix fixe menu, that included an appetizer and dessert. I opted for the duck flat bread. Spouse got the southern egg roll. My flat bread had 5 shreds of duck each and bland. My wife’s southern egg rolls were ok, but underwhelming. I don’t expect to be blown away each time I go into a restaurant, but this wasn’t a good sign. We both ordered the prime rib for our dinner. Let’s just say the chef needs to be introduced to a salt and pepper shaker at least! It was so tasteless! There was nothing there but the pure taste of dead cow. The meat was cooked perfectly but it was so terribly under seasoned I couldn’t finish it. I am never one to add salt or pepper to any meal, but I had to haut to get full. They also put this… Thing, I have no idea what it was or was supposed to be, on the plate. It looked like a biscuit. Upon tasting it, I realized it was a pancake someone had tried to cook, taken it out of the pan, microwaved it to get it rubbery enough then set it on the plate for aesthetics. dessert was ok– my apple crisp had good taste, but when my wife took her order of beignets they were ice cold!!! Who does that? I understand that restaurants try to cram as much profit and turn over as many tables as possible on V day, but this is the epitome of why so many restaurants fail. People want to try new places and be impressed. Maybe we should lower our expectations for such events as V day and Mother’s Day. Or, maybe, just maybe, restaurants won’t lower their standards for the sake of profit. I was waiting for the manager to come over and ask me about my meal. I would’ve said something. But she visited the couple next to us instead. No biggie– I hope she reads what I think here. Snap judgement– this place isn’t very good.

Fantastic food! I’m a huge fan of New Orleans and all their delicious food, and I have to say Vintage’s shrimp and grits is even better than N’Awlins shrimp and grits. Another favorite is the Autumn wedge. My boyfriend loves the salmon. So, so good! Great cocktails and craft beers. The building is gorgeous, and the décor so cool. Also the staff is attentive, knowledgable and very courteous. A favorite of mine!

Not sure why Vintage gets the rave reviews. I refer to their food and service as «Kids in the Kitchen.» Just seems like they are experimenting with any flavor they can grab off the shelf, trying to be cool. The service needs serious work as well. This is a great spot for a restaurant, it’s too bad there’s not one here.

O-M-Goodness!!! Where do I even begin?! My husband and I just went here for the first time on Valentine’s Day for brunch & needless to say, it exceeded our expectations! The old southern farmhouse décor gives it a warm, yet trendy atmosphere. They have a yummy cocktail list with an expansive list of draft beers. We started with a carrot, ginger soup and Autumn wedge salad, both of which were fresh, flavorful and delicious!(They make their own dressings too!) My husband got the shrimp & grits(delicious!) & I got the French toast that was utterly decadent(the smoked maple syrup was hands down the best I’ve ever had!!) We can’t wait to come back for dinner!

Pretty sad experience tonight. It is Valentine’s Date 2016 and my fiancé and I arrived a few minutes before our reservation at 6:45PM. We were immediately seated and told by our waitress Chelsea(she was awesome by the way) that the restaurant had a «busy weekend» and was basically out of the best/most popular dishes on the menu. This menu has been advertised for Valentine’s Day for over a week now and of course it increases the price of your average meal at Vintage by 50−75%(probably a conservative estimate). We’ve eaten at Vintage a handful of times and it seems something is always amiss. Whether its literally single piece of chicken in the Chicken Dumplings, a lack of service(drinks were comped, twice), or tonight when we were told we couldn’t order our first, or even second choices on the abbreviated and advertised menu. After these first occurrences we still planned on having our rehearsal dinner at this location, but I believe we are going to have to reconsider. We’ve spent a great deal of time and money in this restaurant and want to like it more than anything in the world. We just wish the service/food options rose to the level of the décor. I’m now sitting in my living room calmly dissatisfied about the $ 150 I just spent, wishing this didn’t happen.

My wife and I went here for an early Valentine’s Day dinner. We arrived early for our reservations(which I would recommend on weekends here) and tried some cocktails from the bar, including their Cocktails on Tap flight. We were then seated and tried the parsnip fries appetizer and soup of the day. Both were great! I had the Farmer’s Pig and my wife had the Rissoto with steak. The Farmers Pig was very good, and the Rissoto wasn’t bad either. Overall, from the décor and drinks to food and service, this place was top notch. The wait time and pricing was perhaps a bit out of line, but worth it for a night out. Allow a couple of hours, as things seemed to move slowly here, but if you’re not in a rush, definitely give it a try.

Vintage blew me away. I fell in love with the French farmhouse décor. I just wanted to move in. Excellent food and French press coffee, as well. I ran into the place by accident. I was a bit lost that day and decided to stop in after I’d visited a local antique shop. It was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had since I’ve moved to Maryland. Brilliant.

Reservations for a party of five were easy to make online. Went on Wednesday evening after the blizzard and they were pretty busy, which is good for them. They seem to have ample parking in the rear which had been cleared of snow. Ordered the Tailgate, parsnip fries, and the farmer’s three grain risotto — all were delicious but I’d go back for the parsnip fries alone. Service was good, staff was friendly, décor was charming, and the ambience was cozy. I’m holding back a star because it’s slightly expensive and I’d like to see more meat-free entrée options. It’s probably for the best that I can’t afford to eat there all the time… for my wallet and waistline’s sake. Am looking forward trying their brunch in the future though.

Good: awesome décor, delicious food(burgers, fries, wings, desserts) and good drinks and prices on drinks(cocktail flight, beer choices) Not so Good: service is pretty slow(manager helped out though after a complaint), food is way overpriced($ 21 for chicken and waffles, really?) Will definitely go back but not with kids

We’ve eaten there 4 – 5 times now and each time was ok, but certainly forgettable. The dishes are always«almost there.» For example, the fried chicken is perfectly cooked, but very very bland and usually closer to dry than juicy. There is a solid effort being made here, but I fear it’s being directed towards the aesthetics of the current trend of being rustic and earthy and not focusing on perfecting what comes out on the plate. The most disappointing encounter was when I ordered the chicken and dumplings and it consisted of maybe 2 – 3 ounces of chicken. This dish was priced at somewhere between $ 15 – 20, so I paid that for some white flour, stock and cream. We would really like to see this place do well, but I would like to see them master the basics before we come back.

If I lived nearby, I’d go ATLEAST monthly. I’d have my yearly birthday gathering here. I’d host my Rehearsal Dinner AND Wedding Reception here, on back-to-back evenings. Just phenomenal! Such welcoming staff in all departments, every one of which is sincere in wanting to give you the best experience possible. Amazing reclaimed space. LOVE the contrast between the reclaimed shutters and the GORGEOUS marble bar. Singer Sewing Machine legs for tables. Clean bathrooms. Just homey and awesome. Brilliant cocktail flight idea, executed well. I’m not a flatbread person, and that brie and pear flatbread just about changed my life! Wings so good I licked my fingers in public(it would have been a sin to wipe that flavor onto a napkin). Best southern chicken & waffles I have ever had(hush puppy waffle, chive butter, honey, and perfect cornmeal crusted fried chicken!), tremendous biscuit sandwich, smoke ice cream, y’all!!! Let’s put it this way: my sis and I HAD a place we went to every time I visited. Can’t even remember that places name anymore. Vintage loyalist, through and through! Low key — though elevated — rustic American at its best!

This place should be way busier, the old mealeys has been transformed into a fabulous modern country rest, bar. A large bar with a humongous high back leather built in bench seat rocks, the restaurant is very well done with a quaint private room that looks like it could accommodate 12, OK the food, had the jar of pickled veggies which was great. For dinner just had the pulled smoked chicken sandwich which was very well prepared. The onion rings side was homemade and very tasty, vintage was moderately busy, but based on my experience should be slammed, apparently the last operator here may have hurt the physical locations juju, fear not this place in historic new market should be the busiest place around. Service and dessert also the besr chocolate bread pudding was also excellent Go here now!!!

This is my first visit here and I was very impressed. The food is wonderful. I had the cranberry children sandwich and it was very tasty. The beer selection was well thought out with interesting choices. Atmosphere was just right. The music was at a good level with a great musical selection. The décor was cool to look at and classic in feel. Service was fast and friendly. I have nothing but good things to say and will definitely be back!!!

I’ll try to keep it short as I’m only repeating what many others have already said. I found Vintage while searching Unilocal for restaurants within the Mount Airy area(its in New Market) and have wanted to try it for quite some time. The hubs and I decided to go here on a whim tonight and are glad we did. Most of the restaurants in and around Mount Airy/Green Valley/New Market are average… good enough to go to for a night out but not that exciting. Vintage on the other hand is different. It doesn’t feel like your standard American bar and grill type restaurant. The atmosphere is modern, classy and cute but casual and cozy at the same time. My husband said between the home cooked feel of the food and the welcoming atmosphere it felt like he was eating on someones porch. Okay back to keeping it short: prices were decent, food was delish(and locally sourced!) and the service was good. Loved the parsnip fries(with soy ketchup and kimchi), loved the blue cheese grits, thoroughly enjoyed the cocktail flight(4 «samplings»(they were pretty big) of the seasonal cocktails they have on tap) and while I wasn’t a big fan of the cheddar ice cream(yes I said cheddar — home made) it was fun to try. Being 10 minutes from home there is no doubt that we’ll go back! I’d like to try the brunch next

I have this habit of going into certain eating situations with the bar set super high which is what I think happened with our first Vintage experience… Now, let me say that it is very cute in there. Definitely a place I could hang out for awhile. Also, the service is great. So, the food… everything on the menu sounds delicious and with a southern flare which I appreciate since I am a southern girl. We opted to do the hummus with pickled veggies, pretzel bites and these onion ring things do start. All were good but no one was a fan of the pickles with the hummus(all of the other veggies were great) or the cheese they serve with the pretzels. Luckily there was yummy honey mustard to dip those in instead. For entrees, I was on a shrimp and grits mission. This version was okay, I suppose. The shrimp were big and yummy but the grits were meh and the portion was amazingly tiny. My husband had the peach ribs which were also not as amazing as they looked. The ribs had no flavor of their own so it was all too sweet since you could only really taste the peaches. I dunno, I guess I just have entirely too high of expectations when it comes to southern dishes especially when they are priced higher and touted as being made with fresh, high quality ingredients.

The place is called Vintage, and it lives up to it. The décor is very French farm house. The menus are printed paper on wood planks with rubber bands holding it together… It is cool. We went on a Sunday for Brunch. I ordered coffee and water. The coffee was french pressed at the table… Really good coffee. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and my wife went with the s’mores french toast and the Maryland Mule. They have a nice beer and wine list with a lot of locally sourced options. The mule was really good. I didn’t love the French toast, it was far too sweet for me. I did love the biscuits and gravy. My only complaint was everything is so rich it is overwhelming. I will be back, a few times

The brunch is better than their dinner in my opinion, but that’s not to say the dinner isn’t good either. The breakfast hash/skillet is rich and really delicious. The pancakes are great and the French toast dish is great as well. Dinner-wise, I’ve had the prime rib, which was quite tasty and their braised collared greens were wonderful. The bad: The Mac-n-Cheese was completely lame. It was basically boiled noodles with a couple of slices of American cheese on it and he cheese wasn’t even melted. I actually thought it may have been a joke at first. It may be the worst Mac n cheese I’ve ever had. Seriously, boxed Mac n cheese has more flavor. I don’t know if that’s their true Mac n cheese recipe, but if it is, then that’s sad because everything else is really good. I’ll gladly give them my baked mac n cheese with sun dried tomatoes recipe if they’d like. Drinks: One of the best Bloody Mary cocktails I’ve had in a long time. They also have a decent selection on tap.

So glad to finally have a good restaurant in New Market. The décor is vintage and homy and very well put together. I love how they incorporated pieces of what the building used to be into the current décor. The bar is also very nice and inviting. The menu isn’t huge but still has a nice variety of food; Many items are traditional comfort foods. Came here for brunch and got the grilled cheese and biscuits and gravy and couldn’t stop raving about them. For dinner we got the salmon ceaser salad which was average and the pulled pork which was tasty.
