The former Sanctuary is now a nice spot a stone– throw away from the main strip of New Brunswick crowd pleasers along Easton Ave. Benefits of entry include FREE wi-fi and some not-too-shabby ceiling and painted murals in café area. I hear the desserts are apparently pretty spot on — though i haven’t yet tried them. The coffee is rather agreeable. Unfortunately on the night that I happened to return to have dinner, a Wednesday, this place was atrocious. Not only were they out of coffee(it’s a bloody café for fucks sake!), but they were out of lots of other ingredients like guacamole, and apparently common sense from the waitstaff. No water with our dinner, when asked for water — the«kid» brought out 1 glass for both of us. No napkins in plain sight. Had to get up and fetch some on my own. Plus they took 40 minutes to come out with a burger and grilled chicken sandwhich. I’m obviously not a picky bastard or else this place would get a 2.
