The Elite Barber Shop

I hate using and going to another Barber other than my fave man, Matthew from The Barber Place in Central Phoenix. I had no choice while away from home so I decided to give this place a try. I was immediately greeted by Teri. I watched the barbers interact while cutting their clients’ hair and felt that Teri had that ‘special something’. She cut my hair exactly as I wanted. Since that first time. She’s cut my hair a total of three times and she has never let me down. I’ll continue to go to Teri while I’m down here and whenever I return on visits. Thanks, Teri! This place is classic in every way. These guys are total professionals, know how to cut hair really well [my barber has 32 years of experience], know how to chat about anything on your mind, and just really customer oriented. So this is my new spot and I must say I couldnt be happier with this place. Keep up the great work Elite, y’all are awesome.

Wow, Elite really is as good as the reviews suggest. My National Guard unit is in New Braunfels so I popped in to get my hair into regs before drill this month. Boy was I surprised to have such a cool, old-​fashioned barber shop experience. This place is a gem. Do not pass up an opportunity to try it! Just a heads up: they accept cash and checks but not cards. Fortunately I always carry a few spare checks so I avoided the ATM fee from the nearby ATM.

Spanning my first haircut until my barber retired (23 years later) I found myself in that traditional style barber shop receiving a traditional style barber cut. Sadly, after he retired I spent the next 10 years trying to find a shop like his. I moved to New Braunfels, Tx and Unilocaled Barber Shops near me. Honestly, I was put off by the name, sounded like they were trying to hard. I ventured in, it’s just a mile from my house. I walked into the shop and was met my the lovely smell only a true barber shop offers, greeted by men and a woman, who were friendly and genuine in their hello followed by an offer for coffee. All dressed in the attire I had grown up seeing my barber in, I was put at ease. All Barbers were busy, after about 5 minutes (perfect wait time) I was seated and cut to perfection! Being happy with a hair cut has been few and far between for me that last 10+years. Oh. Wait, you only accept cash? Err, uhhhh. The barber kindly informed me of an ATM and allowed me to walk out without paying.
Haircut price was about what I expected $ 20 with a good tip.
Great quality cut, and the environment I’ve been searching for.

This is the epitome of what a barber shop should be! Within seconds of walking in the door, my guy was in a chair. This is after being turned away from 3 other shops.
While I sat and watched, all three barbers were personable with everyone. The atmosphere is incredible. This is our go to from now on!

Wow. Totally awesome barber shop. It’s styled like an old fashioned Barber shop. You’re welcomed when you walk in and can join in on a friendly conversation. Excellent atmosphere and an excellent quality of hair cut. You also get a blade shave on the neck and around the ears along with a little vibrator shoulder massage after your cut.

Outstanding barber shop. Very nice in an old barber shop décor way. My barber was Guy — A very interesting gentleman. Ex radio DJ, musician, and culinary grad. Good conversation with the locals in the place. Great haircut, and as a real barber only can do, I got the straight razor shave on neck and over ears. As the other reviewer said you get a nice massage after your cut. I will certainly return on my next trip to New Braunfels. I highly recommend this shop.

They deliver a world-​class, old-​fashioned, gentlemen’s haircut. It’s first-​come, first-​serve as all three barbers do an exceptional job. Cut any way you ask, they use all the classic tools a true barber should use. At the conclusion of the cut, you can option for a nice neck and shoulder massage.
Standard cut runs $ 15. No wet shaves are done at that location.
Services are for men and boys 12 years of age or older.
