Cypress Bend Park is a lovely stop for meditation and relaxation. I have numerous memories here, heck, I think people forget that we have Cypress Bend Park. There’s so much beauty to cover here and you can pick any spot and you’ll never be bothered while fishing or making out with your ruca/vato. I’ve gone to late night dances, quinceanera practices, picnics, and runs here. It’s always nice to see people pulling wagons full of kiddos to go play in their playground area. The ducks here are pretty chill, nothing like Landa Park’s gangland ducks. Way back when I was in high school we used to meet at Cypress for fights, yes, I said fights. All the cars(not mine) would form a circle and the fight would take place right in the middle, mostly tiffs over girls. I would be watching on the side while high school babies got thrown about, sometimes on top of cars(tee hee). I don’t condone fighting but that’s what went down back in the day and Cypress was the place. Now, I go back for exercising purposes and to just take in this amazing part of New Braunfels. The Gaudalupe River is an off color but the trees are magnificent. PLEASEDON’T GETCAUGHTINTHEPOISONIVY, it’s everywhere. Don’t go at night, its nicely situated by a cemetery. Have fun and soak up what New Braunfels has to offer!
