Local tradition. Great food, all the booths are fund raising for a local cause. The kids always enjoy the rides that are more expensive ever year. Honky tonk dancing. Local crafts on display.

Hello, I have purchased Rodeo Tickets every year for the last 6 years from High Brim Hats. This year our daughter was coming in from Austin for the bull riding this past Sunday. I went by and bought 3 tickets for the Sunday performance. I paid $ 33.00. Because of the rain, the Sunday rodeo performance was cancelled. I tried to get my money back from the Rodeo Association and they would not reimburse me my $ 33 saying that the refund policy was printed on the ticket and it says that there are no refunds. I always thought that meant that if I was not able to come to the rodeo, there was no refund possible. Evidently that is not the case. So my $ 33 was taken by the rodeo association and is not refundable… period. It seems to me that if you have a live performance at a theater, concert hall, or outdoor venue and for whatever reason that performance does not take place, you get your money back. In my opinion, what the rodeo association did was akin to «stealing». It would never have occurred to me that these people would stoop to something so low. I can’t even consider this a contribution as I had no choice in the matter! What gives these people the right to take my money in good faith and not deliver anything for it? I did talk to the Comal County Rodeo Association President. He said that the same thing had happened to him in the past and I just needed to «get over» it. Well, two wrongs never have made 1 right. And I won’t «get over» it! What a bad image of the Comal County Rodeo Association he represents, as well as how bad the entire Comal County Rodeo Association looks itself.
