Wendy’s

As noted by others the wait for any order here is uncommonly long. Build a ship in a bottle long. Extreme as it is, what compels a return visit are clean & friendly employees who even wear their clothing properly, reflecting management by someone who actually gives a darn. This particular W’s is so excellent in other regards that despite our complaints and frustrations we keep going back. Good food, good service, but you’ll pay for it.

So, you are thinking,” a review of Wendys… really?” Well, if you are reading this you are a) killing time or b} not from the area and looking for a quick place to eat with no health code violations and is safe This Wendy’s is both. What this Wendys is not is quick.
I frequent this location often and they are consistent in being slow and not just during peak hours. Late in the evening, early in the morning… slow. So slow that I avoid this location when I am in a hurry. Anyone else notice the incongruity here… fast food… slow service? Smh.
The staff is friendly to a fault, the restaurant is clean and well maintained, and the menu is what you would expect from Wendy’s…fresh food served hor (or chilled for the salad lovers out there). Give them a try… just not when you are in a hurry.

Went here one evening after doing some much needed house shopping. Bad idea. First they were slow. Very slow. We had a VERY simple order. Hubby got a burger, son got 4 pc nugget, I got 3 pc nugget. Get to the window, make payment. Wait seems like forever to get out food to window. She literally handed it to my hubby, closed window and walked away. Upon opening bag I noticed there was one thing of nuggets and a burger. They put the nuggets in one box. We sat there for a few more minutes waiting on someone to come back to the window because we needed another box. How am i going to hand the boy his nuggets. One at a time while eating mine as well?! Made absolutely no sense at all! When she finally came back to the window we said we needed another box as we were given a 10 pc nugget, not a 4pc and a 6pc. She says «oh well that’s the way we box them.» Ok so you get two orders for different count and you put them in the same box? That’s makes no sense!

I don’t normally write up chain hamburger joints. What more can I add that isn’t already an unconscious impression in your head?
But I have to give it to Wendy’s. Lately, they have really stepped up their game in food quality, service and cleanliness. The new store on Charlestown Road is always clean and well-​staffed with friendly people who make it a point to come around and even ask how your meal was and often offer to get you a refill or take your empty tray.
They have taken a routine, impersonal experience and made it enjoyable!
