I feel like I need to say this up front: You cannot compare the prices to «fast» food ice-cream places. It’s not fair to the business. It’s a bit of an extreme analogy, but you wouldn’t go to a steak house and say the meat is cheaper at McDonalds. Just saying. Compare it to Cold Stone or Graeter’s at least. Also, yes, it can take awhile to get the ice-cream because it’s all fresh and made for you. Don’t go there if you’re short on time or impatient. That all being said, I really love this ice-cream. The kids size for less than $ 4.00 is big enough for most. I don’t really know how to describe the taste, but it’s just better. Fresher. I always want more when I’m done because it’s that good. Also, I have had Subzero cater for an event for me and the customer service was awesome as was the pricing. It’s all been great.

The premium ice cream was great! The nitrogen freezing process makes this ice cream super smooth. There are many flavors and mix-ins to choose from. My favorite is banana flavor with toasted coconut and pineapple mix-ins. We will definitely be back. Service was good.

I feel the price is in line with other high end ice cream and frozen yogurt places. Our party had four people, we tried three types offerings from the menu I got a sample of each. Premium, Low-fat, and Custard were all very good. Flavor and topping choices were very good, my main complaint is the flavor syrup use. While it was good I prefer real banana in my ice cream. Maybe they have to use syrup due to the freezing process. Employees were pleasant with the exception of one older lady that took our payment.

When Subzero opened I avoided them for a while because I thought that they were just another self-serve fro-yo place. It turns out that Subzero actually uses liquid nitrogen to make ice cream, custard, frozen yogurt, or soy ice cream to order. You just tell the person working at the counter what base you want(i.e. cream, custard, low fat base, yogurt, soy), what flavoring to add in, and what mix ins. Then they turn it into ice cream right in front of you using the liquid nitrogen. I tried the premium ice cream base with peanut butter flavoring and peanut butter cup and cookie dough mix ins. I love ice cream and this was by far the freshest ice cream I have ever had. I cannot wait to try many more flavor combinations.

An expensive gimmick. Service is very, very slow, both because it takes a while for an employee to explain the process of how to order to each party and because the actual process of making the ice cream takes several steps. Adding the liquid nitrogen creates dramatic steam, and that was the most fun thing about this place, but then you go to pay and find out it’s more than $ 9 for two small ice creams. What? And the flavor was just okay. Definitely not worth the price. I can’t see this place lasting very long since there are much cheaper and faster options elsewhere.
