Bearno’s has good pizza but this location has sticky tables and typically slow service, although our girl was decent tonight. The problem is that tonight I was with my family. After 9pm, the place may as well be a bar. With no division between the 21+ bar and dining room, the music and cussing was a bit much.

This is by far the worse pizza place I’ve ever been to. The worse customer service I’ve ever seen. We waited for 20 minutes amd no one came to take our order. It’s not like there was a lot of people that kept them busy but we were totally ignored and will never come back. There’s lots of other pizza places that tastes 100 times better than this place and this is the kind of customer service they dish out.

Came in with my husband for a few beers and had the worst service ever. The bar tender was more worried about anything other than waiting on us. My husband went 30 minutes with an empty glass while the bar tender served other patrons and messes around with other stuff. Finally he asked to tab out and tipped $ 1. He didn’t even deserve that! Don’t visit this location unless you want VERYBAD service!!!

This Bearno’s has the poorest service of any restaurant in the area. Service is slow. The food is never ready when they say it will be. It can take 10 minutes just to be acknowledged.

Updated review: In order to be fair to the Bearno’s Charlestown Road location, they’re now a non-smoking facility. This has improved the inside air quality of the restaurant 100 percent! It’s now a place my wife and I frequent much more regularly instead to just carry-out. I recommend as a very casual place to grab a decent pizza and a couple of cold beers. A solid neighborhood place…

Avoid at all costs! Dirty, booths ripped(and not just a little… we’re talking HUGE rips). Service was pretty non-existent even though 5+ employees were screwing off behind counter. We went on one of the few nice days so far this year specifically to sit on deck. Of course it was marked off so you couldn’t use because of reserved party. Kid’s chicken tenders were $ 5 for(3) 3″ tenders with ketchup packets conveniently stacked on saucer next to it. The jukebox was so loud you couldn’t hear your party talking. The songs on the jukebox were NOT appropriate for my 3 and 6 year old to be listening to(it was an R&B song vividly describing doing some girl all night long). 1 or 2 employees had a logo of place on shirt, other than that no uniforms or consistency in staff. Menus had as much grease on them as their pizza did. Will NEVER come back. If front looks this bad, imagine what back looks like! Skipping on carryout too! Avoid and spend your money elsewhere.

Before you get harsh with me, I’ve given this place 4 chances; 3 lunch buffets and one regular dining experience. I think I’ve given it a fair shake. Here’s why it kinda sucks. For me, anyway. First, the pizza is acceptable, but nothing special. Bearno’s claims to bake«Louisville Style Pizza.» I have a difficult time figuring out what makes it different from regular pizza. I know what New York-style pizza is. I know what Chicago-style pizza is. I even know what California-style pizza is. I find no reason to give Louisville its own pizza style and Bearno’s couldn’t really provide an answer. You do get a pretty broad selection of toppings and options on the lunch buffet as well as a couple of pastas, bread sticks and salads. But, and I say this again, the pizza isn’t any better than most take-out places. It is, however, more expensive. Secondly, the service is slow. During my standard dining experience, our table was one of only 3 occupied in the whole place and our cups still ran dry. Service was glacial. Finally, I didn’t really feel comfortable. I don’t wear camoflage, college-licensed unitards or sweatpants to dinner and this put me out of place among the majority of the other patrons who seemed to be getting better service. There is a nice deck to one side of the building that could provide for a pleasant dining experience during the warmer months. I do have concern if that might mean getting your own beverages, though.
