What a find! We love Italian and this place happy. Caprese salad was fresh with a nice presentation. House. made dressing was wonderful on a fresh salad. Fettuccine was awesome and the lemon dessert was the perfect ending. My suggestion would be dress up the wait staff.

My experience at Don Vito’s was very good. We ate off the lunch menu, but had options for full plates. The waiter was knowledgable and helpful and very attentive. The food was presented well and the taste was out of this world. Our bill amounted to about 20 dollars a person which I have no problems with as long as it’s a good experience. I’ll go there again and take family.

I have been there several times and food and drinks have been excellent. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and most helpful. Everything is prepared from scratch. The only downside is the owner coming over to the table and staying way too long to chat. Had a hard time enjoying the food and the company of my friends. He is very nice but he needs to say hello and leave the tab, e.

Don Vito’s need to make some changes. Our monthly dinner group of eight had early dinner Saturday night. We arrived at six thirty. One of the two dining rooms was full, so we were seated in the bar area. The music was blaring, a Dean Martin cd, one in our group asked the volume to be turned down. The request was politely met. Our server told us about the specials, told us all meals are made from scratch and as ordered and there was one order of calamari left. One order of an appetizer left at 6:30, it was either damn good or they didn’t order enough. The server left, we got water about ten minutes later. The waiter disappeared for awhile and came back around 7PM to take our order. One person ordered stuffed chicken, she was informed that would take 20 minutes to prepare, she said fine. The other orders were 2 spaghetti and meatball, veal marasala, tortellini, and another dish I can’t recall. We had to ask if we could place a drink a drink. The server was definitely in the weeds. He didn’t understand the sequence of ordering. He didn’t know the beers offered, only no draft, domestic and imported bottles beer. We ambled up to the beer case to see the offerings, which was varied and a nice selection. Some of the wine were actually the single serve screw top you get at the liquor store for a dollar or two, never seen that before at a restaurant. About the food now, the person ordering the stuffed chicken was informed it would take 40 minutes to prepare the chicken, so the order was changed to veal marsala. The salads arrived to the table about 7: 15. The salads were good, crisp salad with pine nuts and crumbled cheese, I became hopeful. We had bread plates, but no bread as the bread was in the oven. When we got the bread it was 7 rolls for a table of eight. There was no olive oil or butter for the rolls. The rolls were uniform in shape so I suspect they were bought heat and serve. The rolls were hot, soft, and sweet, not bad, but I prefer a chewy bread especially at an Italian restaurant. On to the entrees, the spaghetti was cooked twice as long as it should be making it limp and starchy, the sauce was sweet, no hint of garlic, parsley or any herb, frankly Prego or Ragu would have been an improvement. The meatball was good made with ground beef and Italian sausage, cheese and parsley would have helped the meatball. The veal marsalas were said to be okay, but questioned if it was veal or pork, maybe chicken. The best entrée was the tortellini. The presentation of the entrees was unimpressive, no grated cheese or diced herbs. Back to the service, the chef helped serve the entrees. The waiter or chef had not idea who got what so, so they called out the dish and we called out here. There was no scheme of serving from the right or left. The chef passed the spaghetti and meatball over my wife’s head, yikes. Bottom line Don Vito’s needs a Restaurant Impossible intervention. The décor is non descript, the service needs training, the food presentation needs work, the preparation of food is inconsistent. The four couples agreed we would not return until we heard significant changes had been made.
