The sister shop of Asylum Down, a store simply chaulk full of import delights, too much to see and drool on in one visit. The fact that a dear old friend I have not seen in over 30 years worked there had nothing to do with our visit, but I now one my favorite pants skirt in all the world.

Great fun store, nice sales people, great music playing that always makes you want to dance. So much to look at and touch! CDs, t-shirts, beads, bedspreads, greeting cards, drums, chimes, jewelry, belly dance wear… everything!

I just like saying«YABOBO». This is a great little music shop tucked away in Downtown Nevada City. I love to play all the instruments along with the catchy tunes the guy plays in the store. Lots of bongo drums! Big ones small ones cheap ones expensive ones. I asked the guy at the counter if the drum-playing ever got on his nerves and he said, «only at Christmas». Yobobo also has an enormous array of fun, simple, wood instruments that anyone can play. They also offer unique and hard to find instruments like a Donkey Call which I purchased. You hear it in Crazy Train and a lot of Cake songs. Yaaah! Truly a great store with very reasonable prices.

Best shop in Nevada City… best music shop in the world. Okay, maybe that’s an overexaggeration, but Yabobo has lots of fun instruments and the shop keeper doesn’t seem to notice when people bang on his drums all day like Todd Rungren. We’ve bought bongo drums, a Hum-a-zoo, something I like to call a shakey-shake or shimmy shaker, windchimes, and incense. Aside from the fun instruments, they have a wide selection of bellydancing attire, jewelry, henna tattooing, you get the picture. Probably the funnest store I’ve ever shopped.
