Walked in and their was no acknowledgement that I was even there. All the salespeople were speaking with their friends. This is my second time here and the same cold response. I went to the Wellesley store and not only were the clothes of much better quality. With the quality of clothes in Needham they need not be snobby. I believe I was ignored because I was not white. They were also running a customer appreciation and in was suppose to get a coupon with an amount off. Needless to say no coupon. I was warmly welcomed in Wellesley where I have shopped before. The Needham store can keep their low quality clothes and their attitude. By the way I went across the street to Closet Exchange and bought a Kate Spade bag.

I shop at many of the Second Time Around’s, and every time I go into the Needham store, Elaine, always goes above and beyond and truly is a personal shopper with a great eye. If you ever need a new look, go see Elaine!

The middle aged tall woman who waited on me last week was incredibly rude, telling me that I needed to find my own clothes and when asking her a question directly to her face, completely ignored. I felt like the hooker in Pretty Woman! STA has now«lost» 4 items of my clothing that I have sold through them, 2 of which are very expensive Lilly Pulitzer dresses, and only 1 of which they offered me a measly $ 15 as «lost compensation». I brought my clothes to the Needham location from Boston thinking that they would be of high moral fiber; sad to report that this is not the case.

Wow, I have encountered possibly the rudest sales person there. The merchandise looks fine but consigning there is a lousy experience. Try elsewhere.

The staff here is amazing! Ever wanted to shop beyond your means? Well, here’s your chance to dress like the 1% without breaking your budget. I find everything at STA from Nanette Lepore to C&C California. I don’t always leave with a purchase, but I’ve had enough great experiences to keep coming back. Tip: Pick up a(free) frequent shopper card to help you get discounts! This location is memorable for me because I found a pair of Splendid sweats that I really liked, but they had a marker stain on the bottom. I asked for a discount and the cashier gave them to me for free!

I gave this location 5 stars because the staff is so welcoming! It’s not a huge store but the display is browsable. Prices are reasonable and there are some lovely high end and mid range pieces there. Consigned some great designer pieces there recently due to positive vibes!

Bottom Line: The Second Time Around in Needham is awesome. 1. Excellent selection. At some consignment stores I feel like you really have to DIG through the racks to find something halfway cool/nice/appealing. At this store no digging required and a great selection of awesome clothes/shoes/accessories! 2. Friendly and helpful staff. I find the staff in some consignment stores to be a bit uppity and elitist.(Like they look at me like they are doing me a favor by allowing me in their store. News Flash dudes: My purchase is paying your paycheck so get off your ass and be nice to me.) Anyway, when I go to Second Time Around in Needham it seems like the staff WANT to help me and actually enjoy the process of helping people find awesome clothes. That being sad, they aren’t hoverers which can be equally as annoying as unhelpful staff. 3. The store is very aestically appealing. It’s bright and clean and makes me want to stay and look around. 4. There is no parking lot as far as I’m aware but I’ve never had a problem finding a parking space on the street.(Typically right in front of the store!) 5. My stroller fits in the store! It’s a pain in my ass to have to leave my 8 month old’s stroller outside when I go into stores. Luckily, there is plenty of room for it in both the store and the changing room. Cha ching! The only thing I can’t comment on is the consigning process. I have only been a consumer not a conisgner.(I’m getting a red squiggly under consigner. That’s a word, right?)
