I had TacoMan cater my company’s annual awards ceremony for 200 people. Tavo and his staff did a GREAT job. My boss’ two biggest pet peeves when hiring a caterer are running out of food and having staff wait in long lines. Tavo made sure neither of these things happened. The food was fresh and fantastic, there way plenty of it (and we have some big eaters) and the lines to get food moved quickly. There was something for everyone, meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Everyone was complimenting the food. The staff was very polite. From the contractual side, Tavo was very easy to work with. He was quick in providing a quote and his prices were VERY reasonable. We had a pretty tight budget and he made it work.
I HIGHLY recommend TacoMan for your next event.

Tavo was awesome — he emailed us promptly with a quote and was also always available to answer the phone to confirm and take care of last minute details. His son and a colleague were right on time for our 3 year old’s birthday party, grilling up the delicious meat and fixins for our friends and family, and made the party one for the books. He even worked up some excellent quesadillas for the vegetarians! We will use them anytime and I would recommend them to anyone who likes tacos, great service and throwing worry-​free parties. Tavo the Taco Man was VERY easy to book and converse with about timing and food amounts for the amount of people that would be attending the party. He was on time and very courteous. We hired him for our daughter’s Sweet 16 and the kids and adults said the tacos were OUTSTANDING! Great job!

These guys are awesome! They are prompt, have high quality & great tasting food, super reasonable and personable. They somehow
managed to carry their huge heavy grill down many steps to our tents in Carlsbad on the beach. Very polite and service oriented. Delicious tortilla and meats. Would highly recommend and definitely use again!! any thanks to all the great staff!

We’ve used TacoMan only once, but I have been to several parties where TacoMan did the catering and it is always excellent! The food is fresh and the service is always friendly and professional.

Where do I begin?! Ok, so, with my niece who just started her career, and her husband on deployment (who happened to come home, 2 days before May 2^nd), I had to step in and help out plan my great nieces (her daughter), 5^th birthday party. I was up for the challenge.
I reached out to the Taco Man, 2 ½ weeks prior to May 2^nd, 2015. I spoke to Tavo and he told me he would send me the information for review, and the breakdown of different packages. Awesome. I was immediately sent the information via email. The very next day, I paid the deposit of $ 50.00 via PayPal, and everything was good to go. I also emailed, Tavo and made sure we were on the same page. I sent him the address and we were, A-​ok. Everything was set. I was advised that Taco Man would arrive, and set up between 12:00 — 12:45pm, being that the birthday party started at 1pm. Not a problem, cool beans!
May 2^nd, 2015 arrived and I reside pretty far away. The commute is a little over an hour to my nieces house. I arrive early to help set up, bring the piñata, and all the rest of the ‘stuff’. Time was pretty much flying at this point and I didn’t take out my cell until about 12:45pm. I was a little taken aback because I was shocked at the time. It then dawned on me that TM hadn’t arrived yet. I immediately called Tavo. The first time I called, there was no answer, and I left a message. I think my heart dropped when no one picked up. I called back and Tavo answered. I felt an inkling of a relief, but after I said, my name, the phone went silent. Oh nooooo!!! I’m thinking the freaking worse. TM forgot our party.
There were a couple highly respected military gentleman at the party, In which wanted me to cancel TM’s services, when TM didn’t arrive between the time they were supposed to be there for set up. In their eyes, this was a huge no-​no. I explained there was a deposit and so on, so even at that point they were ready to order food elsewhere.
Tavo said, he would have his workers out in an hour. Luckily, Tavo was in contact while his guys were in route. That definitely calmed me and my nieces nerves. Two gentleman arrived at 2:05pm and started setting up immediately. phew! Not even a half an hour later, Tavo arrived, and started to help them out. He apologized and said, he was ‘there to lick his wounds”. I totally respect Tavo for owning up to the mishap and jumping in and redeeming himself. He offered a small discount, which was cool.
Thank you very much, Tavo, for coming through, even after it slipped your mind. I appreciate the communication beforehand, and when you got there. Also thank you for making sure my family was ok (making sure everything was flowing), for that I am thankful.
TM has great food, and everyone was overall satisfied. All in all, this is a great company, I am pretty much leaving 2 stars for the punctuality and mishap, I experienced overall. The 2 stars is NOT BECASUE OF THE FOOD.

Im the kind of person that loves professionalism and for someone to keep their word to me. I called the TacoMan and told him I needed him for a birthday party. He told me to go online and fill out a form to get a quote and he would get back to me asap. I waited four days and didn’t hear from him. I called and spoke with him and he told me he was too busy to give a quote but to call on monday and we would set things up. I called monday morning twice and left a voicemail and received no reply back. So i decided to go with someone else, Tacos Don Jorge. They were very professional and I loved them. Hand made tortillas and everything. Very Delicious!

They catered my wedding reception this past weekend and did an amazing job! Tavo was super easy to deal with during the planning stage and answered all of my questions. The day of the guys arrived early, set up, chatted with me about what I wanted, cooked some amazing food. All of my guests loved it, and took leftovers home because it was so good. Overall, great experience and would def recommend and use again! Thank you!

I had a birthday party for my husband this past weekend and had the taco man cater his party. He showed up 30 mins before time to set up and had two men to cater the event. Both guys were very professional and nice. We had carne asada, pollo asada and pork tacos which were all very flavorful and delicious, the rice was great, the beans were a little hard and ok, the salsa was good as well, tortillas were fresh and made that day. Over all the food was amazing and the best tacos over ever had! I will definitely use the taco man for future parties. The prices are reasonable and Tavo is good a great businessman who prides himself on great customer satisfaction. I am happy to say I am very satisfied! Thank you Tavo :)

Tacoman is great! They catered our rehearsal dinner and did a wonderful job. The tacos were delicious! Tacoman arrived early to set-​up and had the food ready to serve when guests started showing up. They were very professional and clean about their operation. The food was fresh, smelled amazing and tasted great. I definitely recommend Tacoman to cater your event! It makes throwing a big party so much easier! I heard many compliments from our guests about the food. The cost was very reasonable and you get to keep the leftovers! August 2014

We hired Tacoman for an anniversary party and they were AMAZING. They were there on time and were extremely friendly. Everyone loved the food. It was easy to book and a very good rate. I would definitely use them again.

Taco Man and crew definitely helped my birthday bonfire extra special by catering it this weekend. He was always very professional and helpful over the phone when I had to reschedule. They got there right on time and my guests were all impressed with the quality of their food and their service. We will definitely use them again in the future.

I have used TACOMAN for catered parties and have visited their food trailer for their express mexican food and have never been disappointed. Mexican food runs in this guy’s blood. He is the Grandson of Mexican restaurant founder ROBERTO and nephew of well known Chula Vista/​San Diego taco shop doña LOLITA.
Tacoman caters mini street tacos for parties, rice, beans, chips, salsa… they even supply the plates napkins! As a party host, all you have to do is sit back and relax when it comes to the food, which is a HUGE brick off your back for sure!
Not only do they come to you for catered parties, they also have a food trailer that posts up at different locations around Chula Vista and surrounding areas. Most of the time you can find them at Don’s Auto Repair on the corner of 805N and Telegraph Canyon Rd. but they have also been known to hit up local High School football games, business lunch hours, your kids soccer tournaments, etc… Blows other taco shops burritos out of the water with size and meat proportion. Definitely worth the stop if you ever find the Tacoman trailer around town.
I have also referred Tacoman catering to a bunch of my friends, clients, co-​workers, and everyone has LOVED using him and most have even used him more than once, or plan on using him again! Your search for the best tacos and mexican food stops here! Go find the TACOMAN! :)

We hired the TacoMan for our company picnic. They arrived promptly (and even helped carry our stuff to the picnic site). They were fun and smiling as they served. The food was so delicious. I’ve planned many picnics and this by far was the best food served! The food was freshly prepared and seasoned just right! We will definitely hire them again!
