I wish I didn’t have to give a star at all. Went to this location for my birthday breakfast. We got sat down pretty quickly. We sat next to a family of four. First, this location does not believe in customer service. The teen age girl next to us had her order, which was pretty basic, come out wrong 3 times. The waitress was not listening. Basically told the kid she HAD ordered her omelette the wrong way. This poor kid was sitting there waiting for her food, mean time her family was already done eating. We sat there for 45 minutes waiting for 2 garden omelettes. The waitress never checked up on us. My coffee was cold. Finally I asked to speak to a manager. He was too busy sitting down chopping it up with 2 other guys. I told him how long we had been waiting and how the kid next to us had to return her order 3 times because the waitress was clueless. Didn’t offer an apology, only said he would check up on our food. I sat back down, waited and waited for the manager to come back and update me.nothing. we decided to leave. and when he saw we were leaving he ran to me and said«oh your food is coming out right now.» I said, «oh really? Hope you enjoy it!» And we left. This is by far the WORST establishment I’ve ever been to eat. The service is HORRENDOUS! Worst ever. Never ever will i go back there. not even if it was the last Ihop around. With all the bad reviews, I’m surprised this place is still open. This ihop sucks.

We thought they were closed because no one was in there besides the employees. It was a group of 6& the server was amazing. Although it took forever to get our food. I was literally eating my sisters crackers that came with her soup, haha. I ordered country fried steak & eggs. It was good, and my pancakes were good. It would be nice if they were light on salt. My sister ordered tilapia & broccolis. It was good but the broccolis were terrible. The texture was disgusting & it had nasty brown marks. Should prep them with more care… As if you were going to eat them. Besides the broccolis, everything else was good :)

I was here last night with friends and they took about 20 minutes to hand us the menu. Finally, food got served and forgot to give us utensils. Friend complained about her bread being stale and did not eat it. Overall, food was okay but service was bad.

Horrible service!!! I came in and order a simple thing the California scrambler, however it took them 15mins to serve. Server got my order wrong and had to send it back and again I had to wait another 15 mins. Keep in mind the restaurant is dead at 1:30am!She completely forgot about me and went to break. I had to remind her about my order and once she brought it out it was cold. I’m not a person to complain about food and service but my god this was by far the worst.

Just left this location to have breakfast with my two daughters. The hostess was rude and just took us to a table. Then the server came and rushed us. I asked for a high chair twice and never got one. We walked out and I told them to forget the food we are leaving. I’m not paying for crappy service. Their answer was oh I’m sorry it’s busy and I’m «overwhelmed» THATSNOTMYFAULT! Never coming here again. I have a patience but when EVERY single server is rude that’s just unacceptable.

Awesome server maybe just my luck but has an awesome time at this IHOP with a close friend two days ago. Server was funny and kind and worked amazing made me feel like I was at home talkingg with family. Just because of that first impression I will always wait in line for this Ihop whenever I’m in the mood for pancakes :)

Why would you look for a server, just to have that server not offer to assist customers? Came in to meet my parents for after church service breakfast, and mind you we definitely understand the crowds after 830am, 1030am, 11am, 12pm(SUNDAYS). It gets busy and wait time is totally understandable. But does that apply to being seated wait time as well? After I had checked in and inquired with the host at that time where I might find my party, they were unaware and seemed to be covering for another host/hostess, so I was directed«You can look for them, I’m not sure where they were seated.» I understood that and no big deal on my end. After I located my parents, is when it began to get a little, I cannot seem to find the words, not rude but not very organized. I respect the service industry and the time and patience that should be on both ends. But after the host had seen I found my table, my parents and I reviewed the menus and had decided, did not take us long. Yet no server or host to offer any drinks with in 5 mins of closed menus? I may not understand the service process but followed internet rules of polite restaurant dining. Once menus are closed is a signal orders are ready to be made or an empty table with customers would indicate«drinks»? I asked my dad not to wave down the next server he seen, because it is a little rude, figure they are busy they will come to us when they have the chance. Nope no one came, so I thought it was ok now for my dad to wave for some service. I believe it was the manager that came to «assist us» but only to tell us «I will find a server for you», I observed him rush to find one, but each one he came to were just too busy? I even noticed one look our way and shake her head side to side. Confused but let it pass, my mother this whole time stepped away to use the restroom. Upon her return the situation was still the same, no service and we all knew what we wanted and still had no drinks or offers of coffee or water. I asked my dad how long they had been waiting for me to get to the restaurant and how long ago they had been seated, total time I would guestimate 20 mins or so. So still without service and/or any apologies, the manager or whom ever he was watched us walk out. Thank you IHOP for the wait.

The service here is horrible. First the wait to get an open table is rediculous. Then once you get a table your lucky to get your drink order in with the 30 min of getting the table. I witnessed 2 groups on this visit get up and walk out and I am thinking of doing the same thing. Get you stuff together IHOP!

Sitting here at the IHOP waiting on our food along with all other customers. I’m disabled and although it said Wait to be seated, I could no stand so we seated ourselves. An hour wait and just now got food and order wrong. Can’t complain to manager as he’s part of problem. Hopefully food ok Waitresses keep apologizing saying new cooks fault. I blame manager for putting a new cook on a night people are known to drink and then want to eat.

Although it was pretty packed this Sunday morning we were seated fairly quickly. It was just my daughter and I, so finding a table for 2 is a no brainer. We got our drinks served pretty fast but our food took a while. Food was good, pancakes were delicious! Everything was fine until it was time to check out. The very young guy working the register was sort of short with us when it came to taking my payment. He swiped my card and said, «Do you have another card?» I was confused. I asked him what the problem was and he said my card wasn’t going through. I immediately checked my bank app on my phone and there was no reason for my card to be declined. I asked him how much he was trying to charge on my card and he responds, «Your total is $ 60.62.» I thought it was so ridiculous that he was holding my receipt in his hands and my check clearly stated my total as $ 24.something but he was so persistent on trying to charge my card 60 dollars. I had to repeat to him multiple times that it was just my daughter and myself that had ate, the check couldn’t possibly be 60 dollars. He looked at me and my daughter and tried it once more. Not sure what he did but I’m glad he got his stuff down before I lost mine because we were in a rush to get to Alvin and the Chipmunks at 10:15. They just need to train their staff to be a bit more careful, if it weren’t for my bank declining purchases of over $ 60 on credit he would have charged me someone else’s breakfast. Not cool!

Customer service is absolutely great. My waitress was checking in often to see how I was doing and I didn’t have to ask for the check over and over again. Food was on time as well and the quality was great.

Customer service is horrible at this location. They had us waiting for a good 30 minutes to be seated, then another 30 to actually order food. Out of all the open seats/booths she had us sitting right behind a loud group of grown ass men. When the food came, the eggs we preferred were cooked wrong, we had no utensils, or extra plates, napkins, etc. Our food looked nothing like the pictures. Never got my water refill, she literally took my cup and never returned.

Halloween Night, not too busy. Still had to wait a bit to be seated though. Lots of open tables as well. Waitress seemed rush and rushed with us like usual. Good came fairly quickly but waitress NEVER came back to check up on us and therefore never got a refill on our iced coffees. Keeping the solo star because nothing has changed. Why can’t I have ONE good experience here?

Very bad customer service. They have you waiting for 30min to get a table. Then when food comes in is cold. They have plenty staff but they need more communication and organization among team members. I talked to the manager and he did removed my platter of my check. He understood and accommodated my request.

Came here Tuesday night and after ordering it took an hour to get our order. We had to inquire what is taking so long to receive our food. The food was cold and tasteless. Worst customer service experience ever. Also at the end the credit Card Machine stopped working and we had to struggle to put together cash we did not have.

Brunch with friends. Waited 20 minutes. Bathrooms are dirty. Outdoor patio was half empty. Question the hostess why nobody is being seated in patio. Her response was«their is 2 waitress & our manager doesn’t want us to seat anyone their because the waitresses are slow». We were seated & our waitress greeted us 20 minutes later. Chrissy the waitress attended us more than our own. Chrissy was fast & attentive to us more than our waitress. We spoke with one of the managers to inform about our experience. First the manager was dressed unprofessional. Unbotton white shirt down to his middle of chest with dirty tee shirt, rolled up sleeves, no tie, no name tag. Food was ok but chrissy service was excellent.

I’ve been coming to this IHOP for the past 4 – 5 years. This is the IHOP my boyfriend and I frequent the most when I’m down in San Diego. I love love love their pancakes. I can’t go anywhere else for them. The name International House of Pancakes serves them well. I have yet to find any place better for my breakfast. Customer service here is pretty good. Each time I’ve been here everyone had been very attentive and always catered to my needs. Sometimes I tend to be very picky with the way I want things and I’m grateful that they always patiently listen and fulfill my requests. This will always be my main IHOP of San Diego!
