I can’t believe this place closed!!! I guess it is because it was more expensive than the other Indian places in the area. The food here was great, and far better tasking than most of the other Indian places in the area.

This place is worth driving out from Newton for. Unlike many Indian lunch buffets, this one is not stocked with cheap starches: there is always lamb, multiple chicken and veg offerings, sometimes beef. The roti breads are fresh. The sauces are not greasy(as Indian so easily can be) and the spicing is wonderful… not a default red chili hot which can be a sign of cheap, bad, Indian fare, but a good masala blend with different offerings emphasizing different cooking styles within India. The service has always been prompt and friendly. We maintain this place’s buffet is the best buy in all of metro-Boston for taste, content and available options.

It’s pretty good Indian food, the food is quality and fresh and does seem to be cooked to order, the flavors are distinct and lively, but it’s a little expensive for what it is. Solid lunch buffet though although Welcome Indian does it better. EDIT7÷29÷08 — Curry Leaf is now closed and in it’s place Minerva has moved in.

This restaurant could get a much higher rating if it wasn’t for the poor service and high prices. I might even be willing to pay up due to the fact that the food is great, but the service is horrendous. Again, I love Indian food and this is some of the best tasting, but get it to go and plan on forking over the $$$.

I just tried out The Curry Leaf with some coworkers for their lunch buffet. The options were small, however the food was fresh and tasty. I will always opt for quality over quantity… especially when it comes to buffets! I enjoyed the tandori chicken, which is something I would probably get on my own. The saag paneer was rich and flavorful and the naan bread was fresh and didn’t taste like it had been sitting out for hours. We didn’t have lunch until 1pm, so that was a good sign. For only $ 10 after tip, you can’t beat it! If you’re in the area I would definitely try it out for lunch.

It was pretty good. We got some fried shrimp appetizer. And it was SO not worth the price. They just skewered 4 shrimps and fried it in grease(not even breaded) and covered them in sesame seeds. We were kinda disappointed, PLUS the food took a REALLY long time to come out. Next came our entrees(what happened to our second chicken appetizer?) I got some shrimp with spinach purée(slightly spicy, very buttery/oily) and my boyfriend got fish with a red sauce and oranges in it(I forgot what it was called… something Meeech I think) It was the last entrée right column in the seafood section and mine was the last entrée in the left column of the seafood section. Both yum! The rice was pretty good too… Our chicken appetizer came last(I guess they forgot it?) so they gave it to us for free. ITWASREALLLLLLYGOOD!!!(It’s the one under the shrimp appetizer on the menu) And it was the largest dish of the night. All in all, it was pretty good. we’ll be getting takeout probably from now on tho(cuz we’re lazy to go into Boston to go to our favorite Indian Rest. Rani) and since this is close by… But the service was kind of slow… the Taj Mahal beer was yummy tho!

I have found Curry Leaf has some of the best tasting Indian food in the Natick/Framingham area. That said, they have some of the most unpleasant and rude service I’ve ever encountered. They will almost never bother to say hello or good bye, they will never ask you how your meal is, and worst of all, they will hardly ever check to see if you need a refill on your water(which is particularly needed for spicy Indian food). I’ve had to find the water pitcher myself while the waitstaff is clustered around a laptop surfing the web in the front of the restaurant. I’ll think twice about revisiting despite their above average food.

I needed a place to go for lunch near work, and I’d eyed this place a few times when driving about. They have a lunch buffet that’s not spectacular, but not bad by any means. It has the usual: chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, tandoori chicken, and some other fairly consistent dishes. The service is pretty good for a buffet, and the prices are reasonable– I get my meal and a soda for $ 12 with tip and tax. So it’s a good lunchtime destination in Natick.

I really enjoyed my murg adraki, which was chicken with ginger, coriander, & lemongrass. I had never seen this item on a menu before(I’m guessing Curry Leaf’s food is from a diffferent region than my favorite Indian restaurant, but I don’t know how to tell), and decided to try it. I thought it was good. That’s why I gave this place four stars. However, I thought the naan wasn’t fully cooked and the service was awful. We had to wait 10 minutes for the waiter to come over, then he didn’t bring the tea we requested, yet it was on the bill(though they kindly took it off). But they weren’t friendly and only came over once during our meal. My sister thought her dosa was good & the bf liked his chicken soup. Though we liked the food, I want to try another place in Natick/Framingham(there’s a few to choose from) that might be friendlier.

The dosas, bhel-poori and other South Indian offerings on the menu are quite good. The Kashmiri style food is mediocre as is the room. It’s a fine place to go after you have gone batty looking at baskets and crap at the Christmas Tree Shop next door.

The décor is like a modern take on what you would normally see at an Indian restaurant(which can get dingy sometimes). Everything seemed very new and clean and as we walked in, that pungent aroma of Indian food filled our nostrils(making my friend want to sprint out, but I held that boy by the ear and dragged his disobedient and culturally-retarded ass to a booth). I had some kind of lamb soup while my friend ordered curry chicken of sorts. I’m not really sure what we ate but it was all very delicious and the jasmine rice was so excellent. Very light and flavorful. The cocktail and wine list is pretty extensive and the prices are around $ 6, but alas, I’m not 21… yet. The service was a little frigid albeit courteous and attentive. Wholly impressed and will be back again after another one of my naughty shopping sprees!

Great Indian food comes to the Suburbs! Curry Leaf, located across from the Natick Mall, offers fantastic Indian food at great prices. Both myself and a friend from India love this place. Their buffet is worth the money and I find myself going up 3 times to sample all the food. The staff is very kind and sweet and getting a table has never been a problem.

Yummy food, good for casual dining and dates. Also does a buffet for lunch. Try the pakoras. Good for catering, but they only deliver for orders of $ 250 or more. Also, I’ve run into some trouble with them regarding special events. So I’d recommend them for normal dining, and beyond that, it’s up to you.
