A variety of burger options including veggie, black bean, turkey, and salmon. All of which are amazing. They even serve a couple of Asian stir-fry dishes. It’s worth the stop if you are in the area. It is one of the better options that gets overshadowed by the surrounding usual fast food suspects. Their setup is reminiscent of Cheeseburger Charlie with good reason. This actually used to be Cheeseburger Charlie. So you can add your own condiments and dressings to your burger although they have drastically reduced the amount readily available since the Cheeseburger Charlie days, perhaps so that you aren’t tempted to go overboard, but who does that.. The orders are made fresh while you wait/watch. The staff is friendly. The owner just might remember your order for the next time you come in. Overall a nice gem hidden in an area with not much to offer.

From a first impression it’s a 4⁄5. The wise option(having onion and something else i can’t remember cooked into the burger) is super radicle. I had the number 1, wise, with fries and a drink it came out to a bit under 8 dollars. I’m typically not a fan of the thicker cut fries but these weren’t bad at all just added a bit of extra salt because I’m crazy. One thing that was different than most burger joints though was that they had a condiment bar which I oddly preferred because I could stack as much stuff as I wanted on it including jalapeños which I can’t live without. Plus all the condiments we fresh nothing over ripe or whatever. Overall it’s a 4⁄5 would give a 5⁄5 if they had thinner fries. Will probably come back to try more of their extensive menu.

I visit here often for my lunch and I always call in my order. They have always been prompt with my order and the prices are reasonable. I have always been pleased with my meal and the service

The $ 5.99 turkey burger combo is a terrific deal. And the hand-battered O-rings are to eat for! Pretty good sweet tater fries, too.

Wise Burger basically replaced the Cheeseburger Charley’s that was here before and kept the same exact concept as kind of a knockoff if you will. But since it is near all the other fast food places in the area, I sometimes go here when I forgot to bring my lunch with me to work. They have regular burgers, something called a spicy wise burger, turkey burgers, buffalo burger, veggie burger, etc. You order that, with fries and a drink if you want, then wait and they call your ticket. There’s a condiment bar with lettuce, tomatoes that always look overripe and kind of rotten, dill pickles, etc. It has never looked very appetizing to me so I usually skip it. Serve yourself your fountain drink so that’s nice, but be sure to check and make sure it has carbonation… or…you may be disappointed. I have only ever had the turkey burger and it is standard, not bad. The fries are meh, they aren’t the skinny fries I like. Onion rings are better but they only give you like 4 or 5 of them so if you have a bigger appetite you are not gonna like that. The interior is standard fast food with tables… but…it always looks kind of dirty in there to me for some reason. And I have never even considered going to the bathroom and my friend informed me that I never should. You won’t go out of your way to eat here but you may choose it when faced with all the other fast food joints in the area. It won’t impress you, but it won’t disgust you either!

Decent burger for a great price. Nice customer service. They do free delivery between 10 – 3. Wish I had known earlier would have chosen that over walking there in 30 degree weather. Oh the joys of being a FA. They serve an assortment of burgers, grilled cheese and chicken. Nice selection on fresh toppings on the side and coke products. Great burger joint.

Went here during a lunch hour for a quick bite. The prices are reasonable and the food came up quick. I had a teriyaki chicken burger and it was great! The chicken wasn’t too thick and the sauce was good. I also had the sweet potato fries and I would definitely recommend them. Yes it isn’t fancy and maybe they could use some new tables and chairs, but they produce good food at a reasonable price and I was back to the office in under 25 minutes(eating in). Will be back!

I actually have enjoyed everything I have ever ordered, the burgers, salads and especially the wraps. I gave them 3 stars because they are inconsistent. You never know what you are going to get on a salad you order, they throw in whatever they have. They discontinued the delicious wraps. Whoever answers the phone and translates delivery orders screws up every time. Besides that the grilled chicken is delicious, in fact best in town. The burgers are great and fries are good. Bring the wraps back!

I’ve actually been pleasantly surprised by Wise Burgers. This storefront has changed hands a few times since I started working in the area, and most of the inhabitants have been unremarkable. I’ve tried several of their offerings over the past few months. Their buffalo burger was very tasty. The receipt actually gave them away that it was probably a beef/buffalo blend by labeling it as beefalo, but at the price I wasn’t expecting anything different. Their turkey burger is also quite good. They chose a wheat roll for me on that one, which I wouldn’t choose myself, but it worked out. The burgers come in a great deal of varieties, starting with the plain«Wise» burgers that come in ¼ and 1⁄3 pound sizes. They tend to have a pretty decent seasoning mix, salty and spicy. There are also teriyaki burgers, black bean burgers, salmon burgers, and several other types, along with non-burger choices. The chicken tenders are surprisingly good. Their French fries are straight cut generic diner style fries. They are often fried perfectly, just like in a NJ diner, but once in a while they’re soggy. They also have the biggest onion rings I’ve ever seen. I’ve been very impressed with the food. Very fair prices, too! Now on to some constructive criticism. The interior needs some work. They’ve got run down seating in long table format, which makes small parties awkward. Many of the chairs wobble. It is clean inside but could stand to be updated… the décor is very bargain basement. There is often garbage on the landing in the parking area. Also, the lady who calls your orders does so very quietly. Oh, and there will be soap operas on the TV. Edit 1÷5÷14: They’ve done some updates that make me willing to update to 5⁄5. The seats were replaced, although the tables remain. They also added some stools. The TV is gone(thankfully). They have always given me correct change, and we always get courteous service from the counter staff. Probably doesn’t help that we are in there so often they recognize us and start entering my order in advance. Great turkey burgers! Decent health department score(98) and their kitchen appears spotless, so don’t let the dining area fool you. The garbage in the back has been dealt with.

I had gone there right after this location was changed from Cheeseburger Charleys(yuk) to Wise Burger. They were good then and better now. Their menu has grown and is tasty. The last time I got a turkey burger and fries. It was noon on a weekday and the wait was a little longer than maybe you would expect. However, the wait was worth it. Both my burger and fries were hot and fresh. The toppings bar was well stocked with fresh items and I got a bunch of them. I got iced tea, and they have one of those self serve machines where you can press a button for sweet, unsweet, or fruit flavored tea. I mixed all 3 as I have started doing and enjoyed the result. One nice thing is an employee noticed when we had finished eating, and then she picked up our trays and trash. She didn’t appear to want us to leave as I’ve noticed at some other places. I only get out to that part of town once in a while, but next time I’m there, will definitely go back to Wise Burger.

I was pleasantly surprised by this burger joint. I think the main reason I liked it so much was the option to order a «wise» burger vs a regular burger. The wise burger has onions(and maybe mustard?) cooked into it. This is the way I love homemade burgers and the main reason I generally dislike bland restaurant burgers. It does have the get-your-own-toppings bar like Cheeseburger Charleys, with an excellent selection including multiple types of pickles. This is definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had from a restaurant. The fries and shakes are just average though, not bad just not as amazing as the burgers.

Stopped by here when I was staying at the Millennium Maxwell Hotel down the street. Got a buffalo burger, which I was excited to see on the menu. Tasted like a normal, greasy burger. Fries were the most generic things ever. Won’t be stopping by here again.

I remember when this location was a Cheeseburger Charleys, and I’m just not a fan of the chain. It’s pretentious, it’s over-hyped, and it’s just not as good as it thinks it is. So after passing by the location under a new name and new ownership: it kept some of the same trappings: the condiment bar, the promise of several burger meats, the milk shakes. However, they offer some differences, like the hot wings and other sandwiches, which is nice. The burger is significantly better than it’s predecessor, as far as I’m concerned. I got a half-pound burger combo and it really was tasty. The fries, on the other hand, were nothing to write home about. Not crispy, kind of soggy, not particular flavorful: just generally forgettable. Still, if you’re actually downtown, this is probably one of the better burger places within walking downtown. Worth a visit.

So I was gonna head over to Sam’s Sushi Bar for lunch and as soon as I got close I noticed he wasn’t open til later. What do you do? Well I headed back up on 4th ave. and hit Wise Burger! I’m telling you, best bang for the buck by far downtown AND the food is actually pretty darn good!

This place used to be Cheeseburger Charlies and was my favorite«fast place» to go when I wanted something not so good FOR me … but oh SO good :) I noticed that the name changed and wasn’t for sure if the franchise changed or what. So I went in to see if it was any different. The owners are the same and the menu and everything inside the store was also exactly the same as before. The only difference. the fries. They are different. Not bad. just not as good. Thankfully they still have the yummy seasoning that I loved so much. It’s clean, they have a huge condiments bar and even though they make everything for you as you order. it’s still pretty fast. even when they are busy!

Korean is background of owner of Wise Burger, and the sandwiches & hot wings are all-American. Her burgers range from a couple dollars to five or so for the salmon burgers. Veggie patties are mid-range in price and in quality. My beefalo burger was most expensive and was chewy like most low fat lean buffalo mix burgers elsewhere. Best part is the free big condiments bar for dressing the sandwiches. Tomatoes, pickles, lettuces, fresh onion and other veggie toppings for the Wise Burger add up to make this a quick middle of the road cheap eats spot.
