The Arts at Center Street

I’ve seen every production this young but excellent venue has put on and have nothing but praise for the writers, directors, and actors that grace the place. Alien was the best show I’ve ever seen. Thought provoking and unbelievably relevant! I saw every showing and would do it again without hesitation. You need to see anything put on here. Every show is worth way more than the ticket price.

I went to see the new production last night: Alien. Not only did I laugh and cry and laugh again but I was challenged and provoked by the historically relevant issues presented in this one of a kind stage work.
Original music, powerful lyrics, and acting that drew me deep into the story line. If I were not leaving the country today my wife and I would actually go back to see this musical again!

I went to A Night of One Acts hosted here, and just the feel of the place gave a fancy, and comfortable vibe — which is hard to find. Because of the great price, I was unsure of the quality, but I was not disappointed.

I’ve watched a one act performance, a live singer-​singer writer show, and a dance competition here. I was impressed by the character of the venue and the hospitality of the staff.
I’m also looking forward to the upcoming Alien musical! Dec 5−7^th.

I’m not the biggest fan of local theater, but like to catch a show every once in a while. I’m also a sucker for aesthetics and if a venue is dirty, I’ll likely never go back. With the Arts at Center Street, I can confidently say I’m going to be a regular at their shows.
The venue was clean and had a feel you really only get in East Nashville or west end. The ticket staff was helpful and I was able to get discount tickets by applying an early bird special.
They do offer some refreshments. The coffee was good. I just got drip, but my wife got a latte and said it was tasty. They had baked goods available, but I didn’t get any.
Now for the show. For community theater, I was impressed. I went for a night of one acts and each act was original, written by members of the theater company. I think they only perform originals, which to me is nice. I get tired of seeing sub-​par performances of Broadway shows.
Overall this is a five star venue. Excited to see what else comes out of this place.

I’ve attended two different productions at the Arts and Center Street. Both times I was overwhelmed with the talent and emotion that was portrayed on the stage. All of the productions were original content that was relevant and thought provoking.
I saw on Facebook that they have a new production coming this fall. I can’t wait to attend!
