I must admit, I only had their apple bourbon pie, not any of their savory. They had some delicious looking options in the savory column, but we had already eaten lunch, and I was just looking for something sweet at the time. They were parked out in the Black Abbey parking lot, and were awaiting the opening crowd. It was quite the wait to get my pie, and I was the only one waiting. That aside, he said he was going to «throw it in the broiler» and that alone got my mouth watering. When I received it, it was quite pint sized, though that didn’t bother me. The fact that it was stone cold for something that was just out of a cooker was an immediate turn off. As it was so cold upon eating, it also tasted like a huge bowl of cereal. Overall, I would not purchase a dessert style dish from them again, but if I see them around, I would not be opposed to trying a savory.

I love good, fast, cheap food, especially when at any sort of outdoor event. When the lines for other food were hours long and MCPC was not, I knew this meant that either it wasn’t good or they were that fast. Turns out it was the later. Small, fast pot pies? Brilliant idea. Delicious ingredients from pork to chicken to beef with yummy veggies make this a filling but fast snack. The service, while fast, was still stellar and the pies are $ 8 a pop, which is reasonable by any standard. I highly recommend giving them a try next time you see them. I promise the lack of line is because they are in too of things!

If you see the Music City Pie Co truck or the booth at a sports venue, don’t wait around! Just get a pie! I don’t see Music City Pie Co often enough — I used to see him on my way home every Tuesday, but he’s moved on to bigger things. It’s definitely my loss! I usually get the Meat N 3, which is stuffed full of moist shredded beef and perfectly seasoned vegetables — but please buy one of the other delicious pies so the Meat N 3 is still there for me!

Drove by Tobacco Road a few days back and saw the truck– wasnt in the mood for dessert, so I kept going. Looked them up and discovered that they do savory pies as well. Saw them today and decided to give them a try. Ordered the«meat n 3». It was essentially a beef pot pie– but it was incredible. Crust was… how do I put this… perfect. Filling was tasty and moist. Beef was shredded with some veggies and brown gravy in the pie shell. Was great for a single portion. I believe they had other flavors with pulled pork and a chicken pot pie(it was already sold out). No sweets available today, but the vendor promised to have some next time. I will definitely be back. And hope to maybe see a shepherd’s pie?
