The best snow cone I have ever had! A delightful summer treat! I got the pomegranate one with whipped cream… so delicious! If you see this cute blue food truck pull over and treat yo’self.

I was a little skeptical at first. I’m not a really big snow cone person. I love Korean snow cones, so when I saw that they had ice cream in their snow cones I thought I’d give it a try. It was very much worth it. I had the tres leches and it was awesome! It had great rich flacked of Carmel and the ice cream was vanilla bean. A really nice blend. I can’t wait to try other flavors. It is definitely worth a try if you want an experience full of flavor.

I usually do not give 5 stars. I always thought shaved ice was the same for all places. Boy was I wrong. My girlfriend suggested we try it out. I was a bit skeptical at first. I have tried several of their«snow balls.» I tried the regular snow balls and stuffed snow balls. They are both very good. The stuffed snow balls contain ice cream along with the shaved ice. I always get tres leches. Their wedding cake is very good too. Their prices are fair. It is definitely worth every penny. Whenever retro snow rolls around, do not pass up the opportunity to try it! You wont regret it.

Sophisticated, gourmet snow cones. Got the piña colada expecting a normal sugary sno cone and got a sweet, more natural tasting one with shaved coconut and syrup on it. SOGOOD!

Don’t spend your money on the stuffed with ice cream option. Not worth it for the 2 tbsp. you get.

Yum! I gotta say, on a freaking hot day in the middle of a park in a city you’re exploring this was the best snow cone EVER. It was so hot I had to race against the elements to finish it before it melted everywhere. They put a HUGE portion in a tiny cup. I didn’t care for the whipped cream; maybe because I specifically was looking for something refreshing and anything cream was not in line with that. I chose the Citrus Sunrise, which is just as beautiful as it sounds. Very, very yummy. The line was incredibly long, but it was with the wait. I wish we had one of these in Jacksonville!

Not bad, but I don’t understand the hype. Today’s temperature is in the 90s @_@ I spotted this food truck while rolling through 12 South. Torn between Jeni’s, Las Paletas, and Retro Sno, I decided to try something new. Pros: –As a previous reviewer mentioned, they do a great job of making sure the mound of shaved ice is flavorful from top to bottom. –They have some creative flavors that could be fun to try if I ever go back. –The small size is actually quite large. Cons: -$ 4 for ice and flavoring? Really? And an additional 75¢ for toppings? No thank you. –If you’ve ever tried patbingsu or any other type of Korean shaved ice, this will unfortunately disappoint. Now, I’m craving bingsu :-( It was tasty, cooled me down on a hot day, and I’ll definitely not turn down another serving if it’s free. But overall, pretty meh.

4.25 I’d heard about the fabled Retro Sno yet I hadn’t managed to come across its sweet treats. I am notoriously terrible at tracking food trucks. Instead, I like to encounter them in the wild and by accident. So it was with Retro Sno. The fat kid inside me knew that I had to go hog-wild on the flavored snow, but the lazy adult I’ve become couldn’t be bothered to find out where/when it was going to be doling out the goodies. Y’all, I’m an idiot. For Retro Sno, do yourself a favor. Go online. Find out where/when it’s going to be. And, then: eat all of the sno. All of it! You’ll be happy you did. For me, fate smiled on a cool day in mid-Autumn. I was wandering around, being nosy about my environs when… what? Can it be? The Retro Sno truck! I didn’t care that I hadn’t eaten anything yet that day. I didn’t care that it was sort of cool and blustery. I didn’t care that I used coins to make sure I had enough cash to pay for the frozen treat. I didn’t care about anything but getting that sno. With an enthusiasm I can only liken to hearing the ice cream truck man from around the corner and sprinting to catch up with him, I sidled my way up front smiled and stared. The woman behind the counter had, undoubtedly, seen this before. She laughed and asked me what I wanted. Quite honestly, I told her I had no idea. She asked me a few questions about my favorite flavor profiles and combos and told me that she was going to whip me up a fan favorite: raspberry wedding cake. With the coming winter, I was a bit afraid that all around me were about to be slaughtered… but the only thing that disappeared was that sno! The treat was a raspberry-based cone, a touch of almond and finished with condensed milk and topped with whipped cream and a cherry. Like a child, I paraded my treat in front of others(especially kids) and luxuriated in the deliciousness… until in my zeal to show off, I lost the cherry. Hear me now: that sucks as much as an adult as it did when I was a kid. I kept it together and didn’t throw a fit. But I learned my lesson: eat the cherry first.

I tried Retro Sno at the Hot Chicken Festival because it was too hot for hot chicken and a snow cone sounded way better. I got the Rainbow because I’m a sucker for childhood classics and I was not disappointed! Unlike the snow cones from my youth(oh, the good ol’ days) where all of the syrup collected at the bottom and the top was flavorless and icy, these snow cones were delicious from top to bottom and were even garnished with whipped cream and candy. Thanks for the #throwbackanyday with your snow cones, Retro Sno!

I have been wanting to try Retro Sno since I moved to Nashville 2 months ago. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it especially since the reviews are all great. I decided to go out to the Full Moon Pickin Party at Percy Warner Park Equestrian Center since they allowed dogs and food trucks were going to be there especially Retro Sno. There were so many flavors to choose from and I didn’t know which one to go with but thought the tres leches sounded good so I decided to go with that flavor. I got my tres leches sno ball and the girl handing it to me asked if I had tried it before. I said no and she said it was her favorite so I felt really good about my choice. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! It was so good. The cinnamon on top complemented the creamy taste nicely. The wait was so worth it and the hype was true. It was a light, not overly sweet, creamy treat. It was everything I thought it would be and more. I can’t wait to try more flavors but I’m afraid I am already addicted to the tres leches flavor. Also, this won’t be a good thing to be addicted to!

Alright, Retro Sno. You got me. I’ve never been one to go out of my way for a snow cone but when I caught wind of your line at Centennial Park and ridiculously cute snow cone garnishes… I melted. Dear reader, Here is why you should partake in a Retro Sno scoop of deliciousness: –One look at ‘em in all their heaping glory and you won’t need to read the remainder of this review. You can’t help but smile after a glimpse of the whipped cream toppings and gummy garnishes. –All syrups are gluten free and use cane sugar(I would also like to add that unlike your typical snow cones, these have a refreshing and natural taste about them — in contrast to the heavy syrups you’ll typically find. –friendly staff oozing with passion –fun and creative flavor selection like piña colada, toasted coconut, citrus combo, pomegranate, mocha and so on. Thank you for converting me. Until next time, I’ll cross my fingers for a similar business to surface in Indy. With orange stained lips, Brittany

I have been CRAVING a good, New Orleans style snowball since the weather heated up and had sadly resigned myself to the fact that I would have to wait until my next trip to the Crescent City to indulge in my favorite summer time treat… Alas, all is not lost! Retro Sno is delicious and is becoming one of my favorite food trucks in Nashville! Their raspberry wedding cake snowball is not to be passed up(and don’t skimp on the condensed milk either!!). The only reason they come short of all 5 stars for me is because I wish their menu was a little bit more expansive and a lot more sugary and less all natural! Still, I have a feeling that I’ll be chasing these folks around Nashville for the rest of the summer.

The best dessert truck in Nashville. If you haven’t been, you’ll be surprised by the variety of flavors. Don’t think sno-cone about this place.

Never in my life would I have thought that I would regularly chase down a snow cone truck, but these are not the snow cones from your childhood memories. On a hot day a few weeks back, I decided to give them a try and was blown away. I got a strawberries and crème medium size to share with my husband and we both had dropped jaws after our first bite. A week later, we waited 45 minutes for a dreamsicle stuffed with vanilla ice cream. Heaven on earth. Such an unexpected, unique, and delicious treat on the food truck scene.

Probably my favorite food truck in Nashville. Any time this place is near me, I try to stop in. They have some of the best sno cones you will ever eat!

Wonderful syrups, wonderful concoctions of flavors. RetroSno does a great job of making a snow cone be — well, indulgent. With flavors like Chai Latté, Raspberry Wedding Cake, and the last time I went the Flavor of the Day was Creamy Caramel. A snow cone! I also love the toppings you can put on the snow cone — whipped cream, chocolate syrups, gummy candies, etc.

Retro Sno is a neat idea and a great option for dessert. Who knew someone could do so many things with snow cone? I loved it and my kids do too. There is usually a line and takes a while for one to get served, but when you do it is good. I like food trucks but I do not like paying the same prices for a fixed site location and not having anywhere to sit. When follow on twitter and occasionally have to get my fix.

There’s only one thing negative about Retro Sno, and that is there’s only one of them. Try one flavor, try them all. You won’t be disappointed. Rainbow and Raspberry Wedding Cake are must-haves.

I had the amazing fortune of running into Retro Sno today at Centennial park during the food truck lunch rush! They are a sno-balls truck that makes their own delicious cane-sugar based, gluten-free syrups and offers an incredible variety of flavors of Sno-balls. I sampled pineapple-mango, strawberry-lemonade, and raspberry wedding cake, all of which were«Retro sno balls» which means that they came with a yummy topping in addition to the shaved ice. They even offer a chicken broth based pup-cup for your dog on a hot day! Added bonus, they sell really cute merch AND their snoball cups are biodegradable. Great way to help you beat the Nashville heat this summer!
