Soggy chimichanga stuffed with flavorless, dry chicken. Some of the worst food I’ve had in a long long time. On the good side the salsa was pretty good.

Monterrey is by far the best Mexican dinner I’ve had in years. It’s a small seemingly family run, hole in the wall at 2641 Murfreesboro Pike. I had the 3 tamales dinner for $ 6.95. When the food came, I was surprised at how big the portions were and how much meat was inside the tamales. I ordered a Dos Equis and it came ice cold and with a frosted mug. The service was excellent, the food was tasty, the beer cold, the price was right, and the UT game was playing on the flat screen. All in all a good afternoon with good friends.
