I didn’t actually come to this location — but I was at a mechanic shop nearby and the manager said he was going to grab a couple dozen for the employees and those of us waiting in the lobby. He informed me that they would be the «best doughnuts ever.»
I had two doughnuts — the glazed and chocolate with sprinkles. Oh. my. goodness. They were so fresh! They’re even better than Krispy Kreme’s «Hot and Ready.» I will definitely be swinging by to see their variety and try them again!

DELICIOUS BREAKFAST BURRITO!
One of the best I’ve had in fact. Fresh ingredients, made to order. Hot sauce adds a nice layer of heat. Would definitely recommend!

Shipley’s donuts are simply delicious and the best in the traditional/​non-​gourmet category. For years I traveled to Donelson to get my Shipley’s fix so I was ecstatic when this location opened up. Everyone has their favorites but I’m a sucker for the coconut glazed and maple glazed.

best baked goods in Nashville period quality is over the top make it a priority to stop by whenever your in town or if you just so happen to notice one near you that’s I found out about them once you’ve had your chance to experience them you will be more than happy

In town for a conference, we followed the Unilocal reviews to Shipleys. The store was very clean, and the woman behind the counter had a friendly smile. The glazed donut was a symphony in my mouth, light, airy with just enough glaze! Mmmmm! Thanks Unilocal

This donut shop reminds me of my childhood! The donuts are fresh, light & have the perfect amount of glaze! There was a bakery in my neighborhood growing up that had donuts like Shipley. I only eat the glazed & the glazed cream filled & they are always great. My husband loves the cake donuts. The employees are always nice, friendly & helpful!

We arrived early on a Saturday morning in hopes of some fresh and delicious donuts– and we were not let down! We did a box of an assorted dozen and the total was around $ 8– what a steal. My husband ended up inhaling 6 donuts before we even got home.
Below is the ones we tried and comments on them:
Maple glazed– amazing. My overall favorite and must do staple. Super soft and the glaze was amazing
Apple Fritter/​Bear Claw– SoooooOOo Good. Full of cinnamon, great texture and flavors
Old Fashioned, Regular Plain, Glazed — all perfect
My only downfall was on the cake donuts– we tried a regular chocolate frosted cake and white peanut frosted cake. The cake donuts werent good to me as they were super soft– great for a plain donut, not good for a cake donut, and almost crumbled in your hand.
Go there for all the glazed donuts and bear claws. Yummy!

I had forgotten how wonderful freshly made donuts are: light and airily, not overly sweet and delightfully wonderful. Perfect for a lazy Sunday morning. I can testify that the white coconut donuts are perfect and the huge apple fritters are the best I’ve ever had. Well worth the drive across town. Open on Sunday. Friendly staff.

I was looking for a donut shop close to our hotel. We had a long drive ahead and wanted to grab some for the road. Unilocal lead us to Shipleys. I always look for local rather than chain shops. Needless to say, the donuts were awesome and the staff was warm and friendly. Good coffee too. We would never have discovered this gem on our own. Thanks Unilocal !

Went to Shipley’s for breakfast today. The selections of Do-​nuts seems nice, and they also sell Kolaches. The location was recently purchased by the owner of another Shipley’s and it sounds like all the do-​nuts are being delivered from that location. Hopefully this won’t mean that they will run out of do-​nuts during the day!

It’ll cure what ailes you, for sure.
That aside, I was so excited when they put a Shipley’s on Murfreesboro Road back in October. No longer was a haul to another side of town necessary, bad for you donuts were now down the street. Shipley’s isn’t just about donuts (although they’d do fine even if they were), they also carry kolaches, croissants, and breakfast tacos.
