Is it true this place is closed or just that their website is not working? Some time in the first part of the year I seriously had the best pedicure I’ve ever had here by someone (forgive me I do not remember her name) who doesn’t actually do the nails at Magnolia. I was supposed to come in for an appointment and something happened with the scheduling so this lovely girl said she would do it for me even though she doesn’t normally do the nails at Magnolia. I said, ‘ahh what the heck’, and settled in to their comfy bench and soaked my feet. For someone who doesn’t do nails on a daily basis she was excellent. Meticulous and thorough. I was relaxed and didn’t feel rushed ever. I really appreciated the job she did and I wish my lame ass hadn’t forgot her name.
Anyway this place is really cute, small, but cute and I would totally go back for a pedicure if I wasn’t a doofus.

I made an appointment for a spray tan 3 weeks before my brother’s wedding, because I had a very small window of time to get it done. They called an hour before my scheduled appointment to cancel because the person who does the spray tan was «having car trouble.» Even after explaining that there was not another time that I could come in (bachelorette festivities, rehearsal dinner, etc), they were not at all helpful in troubleshooting the situation and could not recommend a single other place I could go. Though I didn’t actually get to use their services, I would not recommend a place that runs their business like this.

I visited Nashville with a group of friends and decided to come to this spa for some pampering time. It’s a cute little small spa boutique. They offered drinks and little chocolate bars while I waited. The massage was good and the lady was nice. I saw a review elsewhere about «pinching,» which was true. My lady pinched around my shoulder, not sure if that was a massage technique or not, but it didn’t feel very good. I had little red marks on my skin afterward. And they’re not a stand alone building and next to a tattoo parlor. Through out the 1 hr, I heard banging sounds coming next door. There was relax music, but it was hard to ignore the constant pounding. Other than that, the massage was enjoyable and the ladies were nice. I had discount for the service because I came with a group. I’m not sure if I would be going back there without discount.

So i was a little skeptical at first about getting my eyes waxed. I didnt want them to end up too thin but Crystal shaped them just like i wanted. She was informative about the wax; cool that it is all natural and didnt cause any irritation. Wasnt as painful as I thought it was going to be.
Was heading to miami winter so after being promised I wouldnt end up looking like I was off the Jersey Shore I got a spray tan as well. The solution was all natural and Crystal sprayed it on evenly. Looked great for the beach and wasnt splotchy or orange. Price was the same as a machine one from spray tan city.
Convenient location if you live downtown and plenty of parking.

I love this place. Very relaxing atmosphere and accomodating staff. I go mostly for manis and pedis, and I always feel pampered and half-​dead relaxed afterwards. I’ll probably try a massage soon. The selection of make up and gifts is great too.

I was skeptical on the spa to begin with just based on its location alone. This is one of the seediest sides of Nashville. Once I arrived it took everything I had not to walk out but I wanted the spa treatments and all the other spas were booked. Needless to say I was not impressed by the décor of the spa. There were curtains strung from copper plumbing pipes suspended by wire. The massage room was so small the masseuse would rub against me as she tried to squeeze between me and the wall. I never got the hot rock treatment I paid for. I have had better pedicures from small Vietnamese shops in strip malls. My feet are still dry and rough despite a paraffin dip too. To me it was a complete waste of my time and money and I will never recommend this spa to anyone.

Magic fingers! I had the guy, I sadly cannot remember his name. When I walked in my pain level was a 7 out of 10, when I left I was in a comatose state of bliss. The place is small but incredibly well set-​up. They should be on Apartment Therapy’s Little section. The price for the massage wasn’t bad either, albeit I am used to SF prices, but I like, I LIKE! I will be back, I might even get a mani-​pedi next time. The place is just too cute and serene. I heart that it’s located in my neighborhood.

Visited on Saturday to pick up some foundation and concealer. Love, love, love the GloMinerals makeup!!! Love, love, love the service, too. They were out of my concealer, but not a prob! They gave me a sample till they could get it back in stock. Can’t ask for more. Did I mention the place is cute as can be, too?

WOW! Because I was short on time, I had a 30 minute massage today w/​Stacy. She’s so, so, so good! I don’t think I’ve ever been so relaxed in such a short amount of time. She was totally intune w/​my trouble spots; it was as if my knots stuck up a tiny hand, waved at her, & yelled «right here, I’m right here!»…Stacy was so on it! And, while I was there, I saw their beautiful, new pedicure station! I can’t wait for that to be my next treat:)

I had a great massage here the other day from Stacy, and y’all know I’m a big fan of being pampered! Stacy upheld my standards for massage, and even threw in a new trick or two.
First of all, she is a dear and you feel right at ease with her. Next, she placed folded towels under my shoulders when I began face down, something no one has ever done in the fifteen plus years I’ve been getting massages — and it was fantastic! Totally takes the pressure off of my ‘downward shoulder slump’ that I struggle with. Then she uses short, deep strokes that seem to go deeper than the lighter long strokes. Finally, when I flipped over at the end, she put a pillow under my head to lift it. I love it when therapists do that, cause who ever lays flat on their back without a pillow? Even on a massage table, I don’t like my head flat, it’s just not natural.
Kudos to a tiny, newish spa who is on the right track to treating customers right. It’s also nice and quiet in there, but then again I think I was the only customer at the time. It’s in a great location near Marche. Parking is a little tough, but you can find it eventually. I’ll be back!

If you live in East Nashville & need a good aesthetician — or just a quick appointment — Magnolia is super convenient. I never have trouble making an appointment, even if I want to get in there in 24 hours. I really like Casey, she makes the waxing process painless and she is really friendly and chatty. Prices for waxing are a little high but not outrageous, in my opinion. They have really affordable mani/pedi’s there too, plus all the usual spa services. Also if you get on their email list, you will get great coupons! Yay, discounts!
