Absolutely delicious food with a large menu to choose from that thankfully doesn’t just offer the same staples as every other Mexican restaurant does. The ambiance is a little loud sometimes because of their high ceilings and open dinning room and so we usually order out but have dinned in a handful of times. The service is friendly and prompt, and the host is always ready to shoot the breeze while you wait to be seated or pick up your food. The margaritas are fresh and strong and they usually have a local beer on tap which is always a plus. Definitely the most authentic Mexican food in the East Nashville/Inglewood area.

Great family atmosphere. Friendly servers. Good food & margaritas. I like the carnitas, shrimp & chorizo nachos, and fajitas jalisco(add jalapenos).

Super good food and service in this unassuming place. Not your joint if you’re after a good margarita – ours were watery, nothing fresh but the lime wedge… everything else was top notch.

Best place ever. We literally come here at the minimum once a week. The food is consistently good and the staff is amazing. The owner is always very friendly and always remembers us. The servers are polite and very fast. They are always enthusiastic and eager to wait on you. I would definitely say this is best restaurant on Gallatin Rd.

Not only is this the best Mexican in East Nashville, this is probably my favorite Mexican restaurant. The salsa is the best I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant. The Chicken nachos are also the best I’ve ever had. Great service and the owner is fantastic and very friendly. If you like Mexican, don’t miss it!

In looking for Mexican food on the east side we saw the mostly really good reviews on Unilocal for this place so we decided to try it out. What a disappointment! I want my money back! We came for an early dinner and there were only a couple other customers when we arrived. Every time we communicated anything with the server, his eyes were darting around with total distraction and he just mumbled. We ordered cheese dip and it was completely cold. I told the server and he took it and brought it back a couple minutes later after it had been(likely) microwaved. And it was like water… just dripping from the chips… and all over the table b/c they didn’t bring any side plates. So, then we thought maybe the dinners would be better. We were wrong. The beef tacos had zero flavor. Literally the meat was so bland that I’m pretty sure they didn’t use any salt or seasoning in it at all. Same for the chicken in the enchiladas. No flavor at all. Service was slow. I had to get up and ask anytime I wanted something. There was absolutely nothing even decent about our experience. I’ll be going back to Las Maracas and Rosepepper.

Food is great, I recommend the enchiladas suizas with chicken. It’s a nice laid back place with easy parking and fair service.

First of all great customer service. They are honest and their portions are huge. My hubs and I shared! !! The food was great as well. Which is saying a lot for me cause I’m a Texan. I’m critical of Mexican food. Hole in the wall kinda place but great food and prices.

Excellent surprise! Christmas eve. Looking for something open for lunch. Saw this place and decided to take a chance. Chunky guacamole, lots of vegetarian options, home made salsa(delicious), great service, and not expensive. If we lived here, we would be regulars.

My favorite Mexican in town. Not I don’t know much about authentic or Tex-Mex but the food here is great. My wife and I will pass several other Mexican places to get here, if that tells you anything! Everything I’ve tried here has been great. My latest favorite has been the Five Points Burrito(muy picante), but I also love their chorizo and shrimp nachos. Service is friendly and wonderful. This is owned by the same people that own Five Points Cocina Mexicana. If I want to drink and party with friends I go there, If I want to eat I go here.

This place is AWESOME!!! 2−4−1 Margaritas and $ 4.9934oz beers. They have the best chips and salsa I’ve had in this area hands down, and it comes out quick. Their menu is a little intimidating, only because there are so many options – which is probably their only downside. But everything I’ve had from enchiladas, to fajitas, to camarones bandidos were awesome. Always large portion sizes and enough to take home for leftovers. Great atmosphere as well and a couple flat screens with sports playing. Everyone is really friendly and this is definitely a spot to come back to.

I give Las Fiestas a 4-star rating because of its mole con pollo(chicken with a chocolate sauce), which is reminiscent of authentic Mexican fare and among the very, very few places in TN that actually serve it. Plus, there is always a dinner special, and the margaritas are cheap. I honestly recommend branching out from your usual taco/tamale/burrito combination platter at this place, because their more authentic offerings are absolutely delicious which is more than I can say about other cheap eats Mexican restaurants in Nashville. The combination platters are huge and good, but they are on par with other restaurants. Seriously, this is a great place to experiment and expand your knowledge a little bit of authentic Mexican! The quality and deliciousness of Las Fiestas does not rival La Jaliciense, but Las Fiestas does serve liquor!

After living in East Nashville for 4 years, I am over Las Maracas. We decided to branch out. The staff is always so kind and the food is yummy at Las Fiestas. I would say they do not have as good of Happy Hour specials as some other establishments, but the food and the crowd is worth the price difference. The atmosphere is much better here and they are always attentive. I would say the only two things lacking are a good patio and better HH specials. :)

Sub-par Mexican place. Bland chips and salsa. Not very flavorful — I had the taco salad. Soaked through with wet lettuce and tasteless chicken. The servers were incredibly nice and friendly however.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Nashville. I love their fajita dishes; huge portions and delicious. The service here is excellent, everyone is very friendly, and the atmosphere inside has a welcoming feeling. The beer is always fresh and cold.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Although unassuming on the outside, there are great flavors on the inside. Menu is huge, and contained much more than your«standard local Mexican restaurant» fare. Everything we ordered was very good. Margaritas were just ok. Service was ok, we were a party of 10 and the restaurant was packed, so OK service is to be expected. We had a birthday celebration in our group which was hilarious to say the least. Overall I recommend Las Fiestas Café. If you’re looking for great Mexican food, that’s a refreshing break from what you’re used to, then this is a very solid choice.

Met friends for dinner. Jose takes good care of you here. I don’t even remember what I got because I was more involved with spending Valentines day dinner with friends.(I am a third wheel) and it was nice. I do remember they were cheese enchiladas with onion and cilantro. I asked that chorizo be added to it at the recommendation of a friend and the result was delicious. I didn’t partake in the drinks but they looked good. I was the sober ride. I love deviating from the standard Tex-Mex and this place — has lots of alternatives on the menu(of which I can’t remember LOL) Overall a good experience. I recommend. Paired with El Jaliciense down the street — the options on the East side are plentiful. I still like El Jaliciense better though.
