I’ve been coming here for years and it’s not hard to imagine why. The burgers, sweet potato fries(dipped in the stone ground mustard) and fruit tea are just hard to pass up. Also recommend getting Al’s favorite(It’s on the Secret menu). It’s hard to find a place that does a patty melt just right.

Hello to all the people reading this and trying to find a place for a burger in Nashville! Okay, so I came here yesterday because I really wanted a burger and fries and had no idea where from. So, I looked up local burger places in Nashville and found a lot of selections, though I narrowed my search down to places I never heard of. That;s how Gabby’s Burgers was chosen! I think this place is great! I got my food hot and in a timely manner :-) Just the way I wanted it too. This a fantastic place to have a burger and be comfortable eating it! Now there is a few things I would like to address, just so there are fewer surprises for you… don’t be scared just read… the parking lot is little, so get there as soon as possible upon opening if coming down for lunch. If you have a small vehicle use that instead just so parking doesn’t become a terrible game for you like I saw many others doing when I came here yesterday. When you walk in to order, the space to the register to the door you just walked in is limited in space too. So, if you don’t like tight spaces, ask someone you’re with to order instead. See, not so bad, just helpful advice. Oh yeah, there are a ton of condiments for your burger, so have fun with that!

Doug is great. Food is greasy and delicious– quality meat. Not for the health conscious though.

Really liked my Seamus burger! I think I’ll add an egg next time :) only complaint is I wish the girl who mans the cashier station was a little nicer. It was my first time and instead of being greeted with a smile or even a hello she bluntly asked me my name and was I eating there or to go. Not really a nice welcome to the place but the nice cooks and the food cancelled out her rudeness. I’ll be back to try more off the menu!

This place is awesome. I got the Gabby burger which is more than enough to over fill the average person. Expect it to be packed to the point where you can barely move inside, but the wait isn’t very long. They do a great job of pumping out some seriously awesome burgers!

I haven’t been to Gabby’s in a while and I thought I had possibly built it up too high in my mind. I remember it being great but after having it again today I can say it’s the best burger in Nashville. It’s so juicy and so packed full of good flavor it’s hard to have a conversation while you’re eating it. Go with the sweet potato fries as well. They are amazing.

Even trying to be critical, it’s hard to find fault in this small burger joint. The employees are nice and helpful. They don’t rush you or make you feel uncomfortable even if you have never been here before. Burger selection is great. You have a multitude of choices or you can make it simple. I love that the options are endless for condiments(including a homemade kicker ketchup). The atmosphere is cool and unique. There is some outdoor seating but overall, the size is pretty limited. We went right before close so we got in and out really quick. Can’t imagine if it were busy. Make sure you check the hours first before coming, they close early at strange times.

This place is legit. It’s no surprise Guy Fieri has called TWICE! I had the Seamus(single burger) bunless(lettuce wrapped) with sweet potato fries. Hands down the best sweet fries I’ve EVER eaten. Burger was also delicious, but the fries stole the show. My mate had the Bacon & Swiss with regular fries. He raved about his meal and said we are going to have to plan a return trip to Nashville soon just to go back to Gabby’s

As far as a burger goes, you will not find a better burger than Gabby’s Burgers. My wife and I visit here often. The burgers are great and the sweet potato fries are some of the best I have ever eaten. I always drink the fruit tea and it is refreshing and goes very well with a burger and fries. I would recommend that anyone that is in the mood for a burger and they live in Nashville or visiting Nashville to try Gabby’s Burgers. You will not be disappointed!

Bummed. I was really looking forward to Gabbys. I had the day strategically planned– all the way to exactly what I was going to order… including the secret menu. I’m not sure if it was an off day or what but I think underwhelmed would be the best way to put it. Our fries were soggy and dripping in oil. In particular the sweet potato fries were especially undercooked and oily. The burgers, which the advertise as «pink in the middle,» were slightly overcooked to a full well done. On the plus side Gabby’s had no line and the food was prepared quickly. The sauces were pretty good though. I’ll need to come back and give it another try.

Perfectly cooked burger, friendly and fast service, and high-quality, grass-fed beef! It’s a hole-in-the-wall that’s worth your trip. You can’t go wrong with either the regular or sweet potato fries.

This place has the juiciest, most delicious patties. I always get the Seamus and it never fails to satisfy. My only minor quibble is with the buns. They never seem to hold up more than halfway through the meal. The fries are pretty good too but the burger is the STAR! Seating can be a challenge so come early!

I am quite impressed with Gabby’s. Born and raised on the West Coast with the legendary In-N-Out. However Gabby’s definitely takes the prize in Nashville. The ambiance is a greasy spoon shack. This works well as the staff is friendly and talkative, and you can joke with the cook or watch him work his magic. The burgers are definitely homemade, patty that oozed with grease, but in a way that made it juicy. The Gabby burger comes with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. The sweet potato fries were good and slightly sweet. Must try the spicy ketchup.

I’ve been going here ever since they opened, the service is better and there is less attitude. Still don’t like the chopped onions they fall off too easy and the buns really need to be steamed. Plus the tomatoes are very small! Come on Doug get with it dude. I drink the water from the fountain drink machine. Blue in color it must have been Smurf water? not sure what was going on? I can now only buy them ever once in a while 10.51 for a burger no fries or drink. For lunch this is a outrageous price! I think I might need to finance this. Looking for comparable try McDonalds # burger fries incl plus a drink 8.00 plus I don’t have to finance it and they take competitors coupons. Hands down the sweet potato fries are great.

This is my favorite burger in Nashville. It is not creative. It is not fancy. You have to wait in a line that is often long. The inside is not that comfortable. BUTTHEBURGERISAMAZING. Come here for a no frills, juicy, flavorful burger. The fries are some of my favorites. The sweet potato fries are even better– they are caramelized chunks of sweet potatoes instead of your average sweet potato fries. The service is always friendly and fast. They know their regulars and make everyone feel very welcome. It’s also very kid friendly.

Oh my yum! Wow… still less than midway into this burger and I am speechless. Okay… putting burger down to write this review. I have been craving a burger for forever. Mainly because I’m a fitness competitor and haven’t had many opportunities these last few weeks to grab a good one. Well, I made an excellent choice choosing Gabby’s. I started ordering the Seamus but once I added grilled onions, mushrooms and bacon, it became a Congress burger. It was truly presidential so I can dig it. Two great big thumbs up to this burger! Now the sweet potato fries, on the other hand… I could tell they would taste great if eaten while in the restaurant. I ordered mine to go and it was a hot, greasy mess. Still ate them though. Lol Told you they were still good… homemade flavor and texture. I’ll have to dine in next time. All in all, I am pleased! Glad I followed my instincts to satisfy my burger craving. Now to see if I can finish it…

Boo! I went during burger week. The $ 5 cheeseburger had no seasoning so it was a bland lettuce filled little burger. The atmosphere was hot! There appeared to be no air and the whole place was like a little sweat box. The line was out the door there was no shade and no air and it was hot. We tried to eat outside but the picnic tables are in a mess of nature with lots of bugs, foliage and extremely hot.

Really loved this place. We are road tripping and searched for«best burger in Nashville» and this came up first. There was a line– but the reviews told me to expect it. Parking is VERY limited, be prepared to park down the side street. Yes, it is in the middle of industrial nowhere. Behind a stadium. The line moved quickly. I got the Seamus burger and did it up with an over hard fried egg. Aside from the almost fatal mix up(putting my fiancé’s very RARE burger on my bun with my fixings– yes. Fatal. I don’t eat it if it’s still practically moving on the bun. Don’t judge me for being a medium rare girl!) the burger was very good and greasy(think hand formed diner burgers but better) We fed four people for $ 36 with tip. Kiddo got a grilled pbj and a kids burger with sweet potato fries(which were legit Sweet potato fries– not frozen– all hand cut fries) which were good though not my cup of tea . The owner was very pleasant, he walked around greeting people and offered a 20% discount to a firefighter who didn’t know they get 20% off all the time. While I waited for the larger of the two bathrooms– he opened the smaller of the two bathrooms and showed me all of the signed posters on the wall and told me the story of how it used to be Haptown! We really enjoyed this place. Very worth the little trek off the Daytona path. Go by the potato bags– there’s a whole wall of Mr. Potato Heads!!!

As you may have figured out by now, I’m a big fan of burgers. So when I noticed my friend Kimmie kept posting on Instagram and Facebook about Gabby’s Burgers & Fries, I added it to my list. Starving after a long day of travel, I suggested we stop there for dinner when Dan picked me up from the airport. I’m so glad we did! Gabby’s is certainly one of the most unpretentious restaurants in Nashville. You would think it’s been around for 50 years by the look of it, and I mean that in a classic/nostalgic way! It’s open daily for lunch except Sundays, and on Fridays it is open until 7:30pm. Be prepared for a line, as people venture out to this fairly middle-of-nowhere location to feast. Gabby’s is no-nonsense, get to the counter and order kind of joint. It’s very much got a wonderful diner décor and feeling. To top it all off, Gabby’s serves one grass-fed beef. Yes, you read that right. Gabby’s is all about a classic burger with really great meat, serving it medium to medium-well unless you ask for it more well-done. You can seriously tell in the meat that something magical is happening. I ordered the Seamus(single-patty) burger with a fried egg; you can choose the cheese and fixings for your burger, completely custom at the register. Then you get a number and you wait. Grab a seat, as it’s first-come first-served! YUMYUMYUM. I’ve got to say, even though it wasn’t a «gourmet burger» like some of the hipster joints tend to serve, this diner-style, fast food burger was tops. Juicy, full of flavor, cooked well, and tasty. It’s better than an In-N-Out Burger(which I LOVE), because you can taste the quality in the ingredients in a way I can’t adequately articulate. It’s delightfully messy to eat too, and you can see why people frequent the place. I think if I had to put Gabby’s into my ranking, it would be my favorite fast-food style burger in Nashville, but a little behind a couple of the gourmet spots in town. The fries were really tasty too, so that upped the ante. I can imagine myself getting a hankering for Gabby’s. Dan ordered a Gabby(double-patty) with bacon, so I wanted to show a pic of his delicious burger too. YUMAGAIN. He had trouble finishing his, it was so big! I gave it 5 stars because of its unique diner ambiance, speed of service, quality of burger, and my overall satisfaction. It’s not a gourmet burger, but it’s badass.

Ahhhhhhh! Hallelujah! I ate at Gabby’s years ago with my then boyfriend and IT. WAS. DELICIOUS. Until now, I could not for the life of me remember what the place was called.(I didn’t live in Nashville at the time.) At any rate, it was quick, fresh and utterly satisfying. Can’t wait to go back!
