The office gang and I were craving burgers so off we went to Five Guys. No one could believe I was a Five Guys virgin since I am a total burger«ho». One of the peeps I work with told me I’d be hooked because this was like burger meth. But I wasn’t certain what I would think with this being a chain. I wasn’t sure when I saw that they only cook their burgers to well done. I thought I would I hate it. I was wrong. I’m not a big fan of double patties so I opted for the smaller, single patty version and got a small order of fries to go along with it. Much to my(pleasant) surprise, my burger was still juicy, tasty and satisfying. Seriously? I was enjoying a burger from a large chain? Wow! Oh, and the fries! I love me some fries and these were awesome! I love how there is a sign at the counter that tells you where the potatoes you are consuming hail from. Mine, ironically enough, were from Idaho — go figure. Is it my favorite burger? No. Will I be back? Yes.

I get the same burger every time… almost. Extra bbq sauce and grilled onions… it is the best well done burger in town on a flat grill. The Fries rank at the top too, my only problem there too many for myself!

This was my first trip to Five Guys, and I can’t believe I waited that long. The burgers are hot, fresh, delicious, and built like I want them. It is my belief that bacon is the ultimate condiment. The line was long but moved quickly. And the wait for our food wasn’t unreasonable. Having the peanuts to munch while we waited was a nice touch.

Brightly colored interior serves overpriced burgers? Totally worth it, would go back, the unlimited topping caught this condiment junkies eye! Love that… Who needs that many fries!!! The kids burger plenty for an adult and the free peanuts on the table charming. Top five burger places in Nashville easily!

Tried Five Guys after hearing about all the comparisons to In N Out Burger. Really completely different places, but Five Guys was equally as good. The meals are pretty pricey though. But they are worth the price. The peanuts were a nice treat to much on while waiting for our order. There are definitely a few characters working at the place, but they all seamed friendly and seemed to appreciate their employment. The burgers were delicious and juicy. The fries were tasty too, but an awful lot of peanut oil seeps onto the brown paper bag in which they are served. Great casual burger place, but Nashville has many more upscale places for awesome burgers. This place is good for the price.

Very consistent burgers. If you are used to McDonald’s food then this should blow you away. Hand cut fries are not that difficult, but no one does them better than five guys. Consistently good food is expected here. That being said, there are better burgers to be had. Customer service generally pretty good, but when it’s not, it’s bad.

Trust me, I’m an extremely picky eater, especially when it comes to my cheeseburgers. And Five Guys makes ‘em about as good as they can get. They are some of the best I’ve ever had. The fries are okay, but the delicious burgers are where it’s at! This restaurant is located in a really nice spot too, and every time I’ve gone, it’s been pretty quiet.

I FINALLY tried FG. I was a bit of a skeptic but no longer. I ordered a cheeseburger and split the cajun/seasoned fries with my friend. The burger was delicious. Juicy, beefy, and fresh tasting. Definitely one of the best tasting burgs I’ve had in this town. The fries were also tasty as well. Like others have mentioned, they do give a ton, so definitely split a regular or large order with your peeps. Will def be back!!!

A few months ago, I tried my first Five Guys on West End and didn’t find it worth the hype. I also had the seasoned fries at the time and could barely eat it since the seasonings weren’t doing anything for me. I decided today to bypass the lower-priced fast food burger joint and keep on walking until I arrived here. This time, I had the regular fries and the small cheeseburger. I’m still not enamored with the franchise, but I could see myself coming in when I have a hankering for a burger — and if I’m in the area. I still like their choices of fixings — but I wish they would just offer them in a separate condiment bar. [I’m suddenly getting nostalgic for Fuddrucker’s — a brief search on Unilocal now has me wanting to try this Cheeseburger Charley’s place in town…] Just as in the West End location, they have harsh fluorescent lighting here.

Best burger in town. That’s pretty much all there is to say. .Okay maybe Burger up is better, but for a quick experience, 5guys is best.

A bare bones seat yourself burger spot. They will make sure you know there nation wide acclaim they have received. But they deserve all of it, the Cajun fries are great and there burgers are just as delicious. If you have a peanut allergy, this is not he place for you. The have another location on West End I need to try but now I am looking forward to going there and bringing friends.

Low quality beef. Soggy, greasy fries. The West End store is definitely better than Green Hills but still it’s just not good. Any of you 5 guys ever been to PJ Clarke’s? That’s how you make a f*ckin’ hamburger.

Soooo this was my first time trying out Five Guys even though there were plenty in Big D to try when I lived there. But now that I’m in the neighborhood then why not? I was a little put off by the parking lot with meters? Isn’t this a shopping area? What’s up with that? Anyway, I can walk here so no problem, but still. Odd. So when you walk in you will notice that the décor is stark and the walls are emblazoned with all sorts of awards and reviews they have received. Best Burgers! Best Fries! Most economical food! Blah blah! Sure does talk it up a lot before you get to eating. So the menu is burger, cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, hot dogs, and a grilled cheese. The burgers come in regular or «little». Then fries which come in cajun or not and large or not. On the burger you can get all kinds of toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, mayo(eww!), mustard, etc and so forth. So I ordered up a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, mustard, and jalapenos. And a regular fry. They don’t ask you how you want it cooked because all of the burgers are«well done» apparently. I was a little skerred after I saw that. So now you will wait for your number to be called. Fill up your coke at the self service machines — they did have cherry coke, root beer, fanta, and some other interesting choices. You can also help yourself to some peanuts that are located in boxes around the room. I guess you are free to throw the shells on the floor because that’s what everyone else was doing. And no, Mom, I wouldn’t jump off a bridge just because everyone else was. It was also fun to trash up the floor! Finally the burger! So ya, like Robin S said — the regular sized burger was pretty damn enormous and I wished immediately I’d gotten the little one for a more reasonable portion. But I have to admit, the burger was good even if it wasn’t cooked medium and something about the cheese — God it was amazingly good. I guess that’s American cheese, which I don’t eat very often, but it really took it over the top! And the jalapenos were fresh, not the pickled kind like you get on your nachos at the ballgame. Nice touch! The fries though, oh, the fries. Best fries? My ass! Not really — soggy, no crispy ones to be had, just not my fave type of fries. The regular size was damn near a bag full so you could share one order. But I think I will never order them again. Even the malt vinegar they had didn’t help these. No likey! And most inexpensive? Nah, for 2 people it was just over $ 21. I’ve had knock-yo-socks-off amazing burgers for under that. Plus no beer or anything. Burgers and beer are my fave. So I think it averages out to A-OK. Good burger, definitely likely to walk over there and hit that up on a hungover afternoon, but never going to order the fries again.

Who goes to the burger place and orders a hot dog? Uhm… I do! I had always ordered burgers at Five Guys until one day when I went, I had recently had a burger and just wasn’t in the mood for another. So I gave the bacon cheese dog a try, and I’ve ordered it almost every time since then. Don’t get me wrong, the burgers are good, but I’m just not a fan of messy food when eating out. I can be accident prone when it comes to dropping food on my clothes, so I don’t really need the help from a messy burger. The hot dog is very self contained and so delicious. Oh, and you can get any toppings added to it. The grilled mushrooms go great with it! Unless you like to eat lots and lots and lots of fries, I would suggest sharing a regular order with a friend. They serve plenty to share. Parking here can be tricky, as the lot is shared with all of the other shops in the area. There is a garage across the street that usually has available parking, and the walk isn’t too bad from the garage.

My biggest complaint with Five Guys is not the taste of the Burger. The Burger is really quite good. Very possibly one of the best you can get at a chain. My problem is that its literally TOOMUCH burger by the time you are done ordering even a small amount of the free toppings. Every time I’ve been there I end up with this Burger PACKED with toppings that proceeds to slide right off the bun. This most recent time the better half asked me «Are you eating a lettuce burger?» because at about ¾ my Burger had fallen hopelessly into two burgers and I just got tired of trying to rebuild it. If they provided just a bit more bun with the Hamburgers maybe this wouldn’t be a problem. Also, parking at this location in the evening is a bit crazy. As it was we parked in «10 minute» parking because there was literally nothing else open. I doubt it was being enforced at the late hour we were there, but it still sticks in the mind while you are trying to eat. Service was with a smile, and its comforting when the cashier remembers you«By number» and you don’t have to grab the numerically assigned bag, instead it was handed directly to me along with two other ‘numbers’ Until they get an In-N-Out this far east, I’m sure I’ll be back for more Five Guys

Finally had the chance to eat at Five Guys Burgers and Fries and yes it was yummy! I really can’t compare it to In-N-Out Burgers because they are just different in every sense. At Five Guys, you can choose from a list of ingredients to build your ultimate burger. I love the location of this Five Guys and the staff here was kind and helpful. The peanuts you can help yourself to while your order is being prepared, a very nice touch.

Five Guys is hands down my favorite burger in Nashville. The burger is amazing. What I really like is that it is consistently very good. The fries are out of this world. I like being able to customize my burger and grilled mushrooms and onions are a big plus for me. I have tried many burgers and I am very confident to say that this is the best burger for me. Overall, highly recommended.

I know it’s a national chain, but I’m glad Five Guys made its way to Music City. I give it 5 stars for a hangover helper, but it’s not the best burger I’ve ever had from a place like this. Really tasty though. What I really enjoy about this place? Let me count the ways: 1) The«little» burger is huge. No need to get the regular! 2) I love that they have grilled mushrooms and onions as topper choices. That goes the extra mile for an inexpensive chain, in my book. 3) Fries. Cajun. Lots of them. The«regular» size, again, is huge. They fill a styrofoam cup with fries, then after putting that in a bag with your burger, they dump a panful of «extra» fries in… it’s dangerous. Major carb-overload, but that is exactly what the doctor ordered some days. 4) They have boxes of peanuts that you can grab from while you wait. I love to shell and eat peanuts. Especially when I couple them with a gooey cheeseburger. They also have hot dogs on the menu which I hear are good but I haven’t tried… as for veggie options, as Blair L. stated, I don’t know that they exist(possibly a veggie ‘dog though? So I hear). Inexpensive, quick, and delicious, I highly recommend Five Guys – hungover or not.

I was really excited to try this place after numerous people swore by the quality of this chain; five guys this, five guys that. Well the five guys was ok. I really like the fact that they use fresh ingredients: fresh beef(not frozen) and fresh cut potatoes for the fries. Well because this place sounded so much like In-n-Out burger, only the best burger in this world, so naturally I was eager to try this place out. The verdict: Fresh burger, but not that good. The burger was messy, I mean it looked as if I ordered a sloppy joe. They need to have some sort of sauce control; it seems as if they had five squirts too many of the sauce(mine was bbq sauce per I got the bacon cheeseburger & my friend too much ketchup and mustard). Excessive sauce made the buns all soggy and to top it off, the cheese wasn’t even melted. WTF!!! I don’t know about y’all, but I like to have my cheeseburger w/the cheese being melted and not cold… On the bright side, being a marketer that I am, I have to give it up to them per the store is decorated with all the accolades they received from numerous places. Talk about subliminal messages… hahaha The weird thing is that they have have peanuts for you to munch on at all tables… beer and peanuts are same as burgers and peanuts… I didn’t get the concept… It sounds as if I’m bashing them on the review… but maybe I am. I guess I just expected a bit more. If any of you want a REAL burger to drool over, go to In-n-Out if you are ever in Cali. It’s a California chain that is just perfect. I guess while I’m out here in Nashville, Five Guys will be a DISTAAAAAAAAAAANT second… =[
