Fish Wangs & Thangs

Unilocal, this is definitely spelled wrong (it’s Fish Wings & Thangs) but I know I’m reviewing the right place because it’s a pretty damn unique name. If I was reviewing just the Tangy Honey Hot wings this place would easily get 5 stars. They are some of the best wings I’ve ever tasted. The reason I’m only giving it 3 is because it’s had some inconsistencies. A few times I’ve been there it was way too hot in the restaurant, the drink machine has been out of order and they served me a luke warm Coke. I’ve had the fish sandwich too. It was good but thought it could use more moisture and something a little more creative than just between two plain pieces of white bread. It’s cool because they have board games out on the tables for you to play as you wait, but the dining room is also sometimes cluttered because the owner kind of uses some of it as an office too. The owner is a really nice guy though and I will continue to order my Tangy Honey Hot wings to-​go regularly.

Had the chicken tenders and wings and they were great. Wings were good size and prepared to order. Chicken tenders were moist and plenty of food given. Since I did not order any fish, the owner brought me a little sample… a must try for next visit.
I was pleasantly surprised at quality and quantity… good deal for under $ 10

Delicious! We had wings catfish chicken tenders fries and some white fish all delicious. Get everything in the hot sauce ts good… kinda expensive for lunch but still good

The service was slow. However my fish was GREAT! Had some wings too. Very good. If your in a rush, this is not the place to go. I suggest call ahead.

Had a quick lunch here today it was ok had the catfish sandwich with onions and hot sauce on white bread. With a side of fries I was the only person in the place kinda bad… But they had a 92 heath score so I decided to eat there. I will go back that sandwich was pretty good

this place is simply not good. i visited with a coworker some time ago and the service was deplorable. the soda tasted like it was 97% water, 2% syrup, 1% mud; it was terrible. we both ordered sandwiches (that came with fries) that took FORTY MINUTES TO PREPARE! why does a cold sandwich take that long to assemble? because it never should. the sandwich was something south of mediocre, too. it tasted like sysco tripe on clearance.
perhaps one day i’ll give this place another shot, but i’ve chosen the subway next door over this place numerous times, and that particular location is the worst subway in nashville.
